After reading other reviews of this property, I decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable I was. My total stay was for 4 nights. My room was fresh and clean each afternoon when I returned. The hotel was very quiet. The only negative comment I have is that while the room and its furnishings had been modernly updated, the […] old slider vinyl curtain still remained across the window. It allowed way too much light in all around the window, which did interfere with my being able to sleep deeply. If that was replaced with something newer, and with the ability to block out all light; I would rate the hotel a 10 out of 10. The location is very convenient to all areas of Ann Arbor. Read more

They obviously updated their rooms relatively recently and it looks great. The bathrooms are a little small and the door didn't fit all that well, but you can't really ask for much more for the price.

The hotel is located right off the hightway which makes it very convienent. My room was not cleaned, and after I called down to the front desk, they had someone up to clean it in 5 minutes. The room we stayed in was newly remodeled and very clean. Staff was extremely helpful in making a reservation at another hotel for us when we decided to stay near the airport for the last night in preparation for an early morning flight. A Big Boy restaurant is attached and other shopping and restaurants are close by.

Judging by the positive reviews on here it's safe to say people have no standard for quality anymore. Let me start out by saying that the pictures online are false advertisement. Although the rooms have been updated and remodeled, the beds are still uncomfortable, the floors are dirty, and the desks are dusty. When me and my friends first arrived in […] our deluxe double bed room for a 2 day stay, we found there was still food in the refridgerator. After a call to front desk, Management made a personal trip to the room to clean it up and apologized. As the night went on we discovered the remote had a sticky substance on it, as did the telephone. The next day we were informed that their would be a cleaning crew coming into our room sometime between 8:00 Am and 5:00 pm to clean the air conditioners.. I expressed my concern and discontent with this and the front desk insured me they would wait until tomorrow to clean my room. After going out on the town for the day, I returned to find 2 Ann Arbor police cars blocking the parking spaces belowe my room.. When I called to the front desk to inquire, they informed me (very rudely) there had been a suicide attempt and asked me to say a prayer for the attemptee. While I do believe in God and have no problem saying a prayer, what if I was atheist? I could run this hotel better and provide a higher standard of customer service than the current staff. I enjoy my stay at the Red Roof Inn. The room is spacious and clean. It provides essential furniture and accessories. It is also equipped with fast WiFi, which is critical to people like myself who need access to internet all the time. The only problem for my room is that the fan in the bathroom is loud and noisy.

I was impressed to say the least. All surrounding hotels were outrageously priced and Red Roof was less that half the price of others. Very clean and excellent staff. Stayed overnight for a conference at UM and was within 10 minutes drive time of my destination. Plenty of food and amenities within a short walk/drive. A standard room would be too small for a family for more than one night I think but for a solo or a couple it makes for a great stayover. The room was clean and well equipped (microwave, coffee maker & fridge. The free breakfast coupon (for adults) in the Big Boy next door was a good deal and convenient. With free WiFi, it's a descent stay. The only drawback was the AC/heater unit was kind of loud - hard to get a good night sleep for light sleeper.

I have stayed in other Red Roof Inns with rooms that I would rate as just ok. This Red Roof Inn was awesome! Many more perks than was listed on the website. Our room had new beds that were very comfortable, a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. None of this was listed on the website. We also got vouchers for a complimentary breakfast at the Big […] Boy attached to the hotel. We weren't expecting that, either. We even got free shuttle service to U of M hospital for my son's doctor's appointment. It couldn't have been a better experience! Kudos to the staff! Read more

This Red Roof Inn is in a very convenient location close to the freeway, shopping, University of Michigan campus and downtown Ann Arbor. Our room was very clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast at the attached Big Boy restaurant was more than I expected. This is an excellent value.

The rooms are very clean and contemporary. Staff is very friendly. This was our second stay at this hotel - we stayed again because you can't beat this value. My only complaint is that the pillows are horrible - they had big lumps in them from overuse. I will be bringing my own pillow on our next stay.

I was traveling cross country and decided to stay in Ann Arbor. The hotel is newly renovated and the interiors are beautiful and quite comfortable. The folks at the front desk were incredibly helpful and the location was proximate to the freeway with easy access to the rest of Ann Arbor and a short drive to Detroit.

We've stayed here a few times because of the location close to my parents and the Univeristy of Michigan. It has a good price but was looking pretty tired. I was excited to read that all the rooms had been redecorated, but although the furniture is new (same bed/desk layout as before), they replaced the carpeting with laminate flooring that is freezing […] - really uncomfortable. This was a late night stop after a long trip. The late night staff were very friendly. They called to be sure the room was ok. The room was clean and plenty of room. At first I was upset we had called and booked the room and asked if we got in at 6am or 7am if we could check in if a room was avaible. I was told yes as long as a room was avaliable. When we arrived at 4am and asked the 3rd shift lady she said No we had to wait til 2pm that nobody told us this information. This is a refurbished external entry motel. It was hard to tell this from the pictures. Everything was clean -- they had done a good job of sealing in any smoke odors and it is now 100% smoke free. The beds were beyond firm, and if you like pillows, I suggest you bring your own. This Red Roof Inn has been newly renovated. It was clean, well-decorated, had strong water flow in the shower, and enough towels. My only recommendation is to add hair dryers to the rooms.
