I was actually disappointed in the quality for the price. None of the tv remotes seemed to work very well. The rooms are very worn out and old. The treadmill in the exercise room did not work. My stay was not a pleasant one. The first staff person I worked with was pleasant but the person who checked me out was not very pleasant.

The hotel sign was flashing like some bulbs were out, which should have been my first clue as to what was in store. It took forever to check in. When I got to my room, it was about 50 degrees inside. After some inspection, it turns out the heater was off (in February). There was only one hand towel in the bathroom and no blanket on the bed...only sheets. […] I had to go to the front to ask for towels and a blanket. The desk clerk was the only one working and said she couldn't leave the front desk. She finally grabbed a blanket and towels out of a nearby room. The tv took about 15 minutes to turn on after several on/off attempts. There was no wifi as the add suggested, or microwave. The refrigerator wasn't cold. I just felt like it was a run down place. Staying at this hotel is a bit of an adventure. Driving up to the entrance at night -- you might miss it right up the street from the Yuppie Pawn & Tavern -- one is greeted by a creepily flickering Carlton Inn sign. Had it not been for the lighted lobby, I would have assumed the building was closed for "remodeling" as there were no other guest room […] lights (nor cars) in the parking area. The gentleman who checked me in was friendly, but the walk to my room was a bit creepy -- there didn't appear to be any other guests and many of the guest room doors were just slightly ajar. The hotel interior, as well as my room, appeared to have dropped out of a time warp from 1981. I suppose, if you are kind, you would refer to the entire interior vibe as exhibiting "vintage patina". Carpet in the room was stained and old. Fixtures in room and bathroom were very old and dated. TV was a small 17", non-flat screen. Bed linens were old and paper thin. Pillows were thin and lumpy. People at frond desk were nice but took forever by today's standards to check in and out.

It's a quiet place, and that was nice. Felt like it had seen better times. There was a leak in the roof in the lobby and it was clear that not many people were staying there. The WiFi was adequate, but once I had to ask they reboot their router. The room was large and had plenty of electrical outlets, but they were so old that nothing would stay plugged […] in. I reported this and was told that a renovation was pending that will freshen up all the rooms. Great location if you are going to Evergreen Hospital, and the drive to Microsoft isn't bad at all. The hotel was an older hotel. I had a hard time finding the hotel due to it being tucked away on a dead end street. When I came to the motel I had to ring the buzzer to be let in. After I paid the front desk had to turn on the hallway lights so that I could see where the room was. The tile in the bathroom was left over from the 60's. The bathroom was […] clean. Don't believe all the horrible reviews. Stayed late Sept 2012, the hotel is perfectly fine. Obviously older property, hasn't been updated in a while. Courteous staff, clean room, comfortable. If you want valet and room service, then you'll have pay for it somewhere else. There's nothing wrong with this place to spend the night.

The front desk was very kind and helpful. The hotel was a little out of the way, but quiet. The rooms were adequate, except the shower curtain was moldy on the bottom. The stay was terrible. The property looked like it has differed maintenance in every way. Work latter out front and the pool is covered and it looks like it has been that for some time. The Cable was out, no microwave in the room and the room’s carpet was severely stained. Check in was painfully slow. I was the only person checking in, had nothing out of the ordinary, was already paid thru expedia and it still took almost 15 minutes for the guy to grind through a very convoluted process. Checked in and there was no TV in the room. I was moved to another room only at my insistence and found it had no toilet paper and the […] paper holder was siting in the sink. The place was pretty much a ghost town, but the room was generally fine, and for the price, hard to complain too much. The "Free coffee" in the morning was all you get and then they don't have it out until 7 AM so you don't even get coffee if you get up early to go. This hotel exudes "don't stay here" all over it. After booking online and then coming up on the hotel made think seriously about canceling. Because of my exhaustion I decided to tough it out and that was a mistake! First I encountered a less than enthusiastic front desk clerk, who required my credit card again and charged a deposit fee after i had already […] paid online. He said it was a requirement?? Where is that stated? Then, there was NO hot water, called front desk and they said there was a little switch you had to play with, end result, NO hot water. The next day in my eagerness to leave this situation I forgot my electric razor plugged in the bathroom outlet. I called the front desk and they said they had it and would hold it for me. When I was able to return, they said they have the razor but don't have the cord. I td the It should be with the razor since I remembered it was plugged in. They said they will try to find it.
