the noise was unbearable.people coming and going slamming doors all hours into the nightGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hospitality and service of the staff was exceptional. However the beds were stiff and the sheets seemed old and somewhat dirty. Overall this hotel in the city of Joliet was good. 7/10Genuine Hotels.com guest review
hair in the bathroom, alarm clock did not work, stains on all the bedding and on the floor. it was nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!! never againGenuine Expedia guest review
"Cheap Hotel outside Chicago"
We got nothing more than we paid for, which I suppose isn't unreasonable. The front desk clerk was pleasant and efficient, but didn't warn us we'd pay another $1.50 for having the safe in our room unless we went online and reported not using it (found that out from a tiny sign in the lobby). The shower had stray hair in it...fortunately it was head […] hair, but still... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Pass on if you can"
Not a very nice hotel. Room was clean ish. There were stains in the carpet. No breakfast and the neighborhood was a bit rough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have always had good experiences at Red Roof Inns and this stay was no different. Affordable comfortable rooms. This one is located near department store shopping and fast food, and only six minutes to downtown. Check in and out were quick and easy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stop over for a sleep"
I was driving along I-80 and needed an inexpensive and clean place for the night. The staff was nice and the room easy to find. There was a bit of a smoke smell even if it was a non-smoking room, but it was a clean, no-frills place. I got the deluxe King room and the extra space with a desk in the corner make the room feel much bigger.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A decent place to stay for the price."
Just needed a place to crash for the night as I had to be up early and leave for an event. The room was clean and hotel staff was nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
Staff friendly, but internet didn't workGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very tired hotel"
Upon check in, a man came back in and informed the front desk how mad the current guest was that a new guest was assigned his room. The room was clean, but no attention to detail was apparent. No ice vending was located in our 'complex'. Our room was in a separate building.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice and clean"
The hotel was pleasantly clean and the staff was nice. We were driving through so we were there late and left early and we didn't see much more than our room. On the down side there were no fridge in the room or hairdryer. We could have used those. But for the price it was clean and safe, so it worked for us.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Staff was exceptional"
WE arrived before check-in and David explained that they were full the night before and our room would not be ready till 3:00. We were tired from the drive but understood. I think David understood our fatigue and rewarded us with a first floor room by the office. My wife and I were very pleased with our room location and David excellent service.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Red Roof Joliet"
Utilitarian, clean, nice staff, affordable. We were happy with our stay. The place is nothing fancy but it served the purpose well and was a great value. Very helpful and professional staff. We'd stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Manager on night duty was the only thing about this establishment that was even close to satisfactory. Amenities were non existent (Kleenex in a purse pack, no hair dryer or shampoo etc.) Sinks were cracked in appearance. We had made reservations with Expedia for a room with 2 beds (confirmed by Expedia). We wound up with 2 rooms with queen beds (with […] the aid of the night manager.) Our experience was so disappointing that we won't stay there again, nor would we recommend it to others. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Gets the job done"
I only stayed at this hotel for one night, after a concert in Tinley Park, and it was nice. Nothing exceptional or high class, but it was clean, just enough space, and gave me a place to stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay for a few nights"
When I initially booked, I was a bit concerned about some of the reviews, but I was very happy to find a very well kept and clean two bed room. flatscreen TV, refrigerator and microwave was perfect, and the bathroom was nice and clean. This was the best hotel ive gotten for under 100 bucks a night, and I travel a lot for work.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to the I-80"

"Great customer service. Poor atmosphere."
Front desk employee was very nice and informative. The room felt like a freezer upon entering and I never did figure out how to to the heat on. The tv had somewhat of an unresponsive signal off and on. Truely, the room was fine. I slept great. It was the family of 5 small kids playing hide and seek in the parking lot all night that bothered me. And […] also, whom I assumed were the parents, constantly yelling out for them and pacing up and down the balcony. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
It should be included that this hotel also offers weekly rates for low income housing. I would not have stayed there if I had known that. The neighborhood was sketchy at best because of the tenants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Stayed 2 nights at the Joliet Red Roof Inn Off I80"
There was certainly an uneasy feeling in this hotel. I believe there are people living at the hotel. I was worried that my vehicle was not safe in the parking lot, but after a Friday and Saturday night stay everything was fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
King size room, but much of the room could be better utilized with a larger bathroom, I felt like I was stepping into a port a john that the door swung to the inside. Just a cramped bathroom! Also found a dead moth on my pillow my 2nd night, must be one sneaked in while the door was open?Genuine Expedia guest review

"Housekeeping needs work"
I don't have high expectations for an overnight stay at a budget hotel--just a clean room with comfortable beds and basic amenities. Even so, this room was disappointing. First impression was created by obvious stains on both bedspreads. The tiny bathroom had been half-heartedly cleaned, leaving no toilet paper (not even an empty roll). I walked down […] to the lobby to get some, only to return and discover there were also no cups or tissues. I'm not sure if that was a housekeeping oversight or if this facility is just the first I've ever stayed at that doesn't provide these standard features. The TV remote wasn't properly programmed to the TV, so that only certain buttons worked (the power button was not one of them, nor was any sort of volume control). The desk attendant was capable but not especially friendly. Drawers in the dressers were in need of repair. All of that being said, the location was convenient, the rooms were quiet, and the Bob Evans restaurant next door was excellent. My companions and I agreed that we would not stay at this hotel again. "Reservation Problems with Hotels.com"
When I first arrived at the Red Roof Inn I was given keys to a room that was already occupied, I walked in on a random guy changing. That was very awkward. After I went back to the front desk they gave me a downgraded room thinking I wouldn't notice they said that because I booked with Hotels.com that they did not disclose the type of room I paid for […] with them. I pulled out my smartphone email receipt and that showed I paid for the Supreme King room and that they gave me a regular small room. I was very polite and told them that I planned on using the mini fridge that was only in the supreme room because I brought food from home. They eventually "found" me a room after they were trying to convince me for 10 minutes that they didn't have any supreme rooms left. It was a busy weekend and I didn't have any problems after the initial BS. I would call ahead of time and triple check that they have your reservation for the correct room because I had to deal with these issues. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Joliet trip, just a weekend trip, just a get away"
weekend trip, relaxing weekend trip, just a get away from Chicago for awhileGenuine Expedia guest review
This place is somewhat run-down and shabby. Not awful but I expected better for the 60-80 dollar per night range. Hotel is currently non-smoking but you can tell it was a smoker's paradise for many years. Old-style florescent bulbs in fixtures highlighted the dated, worn look. Near very busy, noisy freeway exit. Surrounding area iffy, but it is at a […] close in suburb of Chicago. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the Price"
The hotel was good for a one night stay. For those expecting more, you will be disappointed. There was no hair dryer or those little containers of shampoo, soap, lotion etc. There was just 2 tiny bars of soap and a tiny bottle of shampoo. The room was clean, roomy for two females that travel with a lot of "stuff"!! We had to ask for more towels since […] there was not enough in there for two people. On the downside, did not like the pillows and the mattress was so-so. I would stay here again because of the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"decent hotel for the price."
The hotel was a bit run down looking from the outside. The area didnt feel very safe. But the room I had was clean and updated. The staff was very nice and seemed very willing to help. I even got a courtesy call if I needed anything. Bring your own hairdryer if you use one. They dont have them in the rooms and I called the front desk. I waited 30 mins, […] finally they said they couldnt find one. They were really trying to be helpful. But, its just something that I would have liked to know ahead of time. Most hotels nowadays will provide one in the room for you. It wasnt bad for a one night stay. Although, I dont think I would stay longer than that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had a wonderful stay...everyone was awesome."
Great room....new everything...flat screen t.v......all the people were amazing....best value for the price...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was very reasonable for the price. Not a whole lot of commodities but for the price what do you actually expect. Beds were not the greatest comfort wise but ok. I would stay here again when passing through. Overall I am happy with my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
At check-in, we were treated well by the front desk clerk (I think her name was Darlene). It happened to be a busy time and she took care of all the arriving guests in a very professional way.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Did it's job, nothing more. Internet connection non-existant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was what I expected for a Red Roof, the lady at check in was very nice and called to check on our room after we had been in the room for about an hour and before she left for the day. The room was comfortable enough, the pillows were ok, but of course we could not get the temperature in the room to a comfortable place, it was either way to hot […] or way to cold. There were some people that kept walking by the room and talking loud around 2 in the morning, but that is not the hotels fault. The room did have a microwave and a refrigerator in the room and the bathroom was nice and large. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Only suggestion I would make is to put anti-slip mats in the shower/tubs. I actually slipped and fell while in the shower. Would hate for it to happen to someone else and them actually end up really getting hurt.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Updated and nice!"
It was a very clean and updated room. Super nice staff!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Motel not hotel"
The staff was nice and accomodating. This is really a motel - rooms open to the outside. There is no lobby or anywhere to be other than your room. Our room was old, but newly painted (Still smelled like paint). Bare bones - no iron unless requested - small ironing board without a pad, just a cover. Very small hair dryer upon request. No fridge or microwave. […] No breakfast. Pillows were hard - none of my family used it. Only one bath towel in the room when we arrived. (we had two double beds). Good water pressure in shower. No kleenex box, just a small plastic package of kleenex ....a small bar of face soap and travel size shampoo. Like I said - very bare bones, If you need somewhere to sleep for the night and not much more and don't want to spend much $, it was fine - but we would not return. They did have free wifi and a safe in the room. There may be an extra fee for the safe ontop of the price they tell you for the room - ask. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
