I must start by giving a shout out to "Adalberto" who went out of his way to make my family and I feel very welcome. The added bonus of breakfast and early evening manager's "happy hour" was great. There were a couple hiccups during the stay. The remote control did not work for the television. And on the eve of our second night, water began dripping […] from the ceiling vent. Although the drip was cleared. The rug remained wet and it smelled like a damp sock the rest of the weekend. Location is O.K, but you definitely need a vehicle to move around. Lots of traffic (at all times) leading to and from hotel because of the closeness to airport. Overall, not bad. But, I would've appreciated a call from the manager to follow-up on the room deficiencies. Read more

I travel often for work aNd typically stay at Embassy Suites. This hotel looks nice but it's the little things that make is less desirable then others. No complimentary wifi, it's in an oawkward location and they make you pay $16 a day to park! What's that about?? I've never had I pay to park at a hotel I'm staying at- they usually validate. Very nice hotel. After a transatlantic flight, we wanted something close to the airport to rest before our flight the next day. Very clean with a nice lobby area. It was nice to hear the water fall when we checked in. We were late for the happy hour, so can't comment on that. The breakfast was great. Stayed here one Saturday night before a cruise. A shuttle service to the cruise port was available for a low price, which was convenient. Wife wanted to attend church services Sunday morning and found they had a shuttle for that also, dropping folks off & picking them up at various religious denomination destinations. the shuttle was full, some people standing up, so unsafe and uncomfortable. reception people were not at all polite, not welcoming. informed us, right when handing the keys, that there was not going to be water from midnight to 5am, and it was 11:30pm (we were leaving at 4am). no apologies, no sense of empathy with customer, no offering of discount. […] of course, the keys didnt work and i had to go back to the reception desk to get them re-programed, and of course the first reception person was rude and signaled with the finger to ask the other reception person, who took his time. by the time we were in the room, there was no water. we left as soon as we could, and have decided to not use embassy suites in our return and future trips. i guess we should have stuck with our usual hotel chains, which have never dissapointed us. i dont know if it is an embassy suite problem or an area problem, but there is a problem and we would like to avoid experiencing something like this again. of course, the shuttle back to the airport, my kids and wife and myself were standing up, well i got to sit on the access stairs... i would have rather stayed at the airport gate, that's how bad it was. I stay at Embassy Suites all of the time, but this one is not the best....kind of run down and not as clean as others. It's located by the airport but far enough away that there's absolutely nothing to do around the hotel. You have to pay for a taxi to take you anywhere to eat or shop.

This was a great hotel and we'll definitely stay again if in the MIami area. The room was very large; although, the beds were smaller than queen size which made it a bit tight for 2 people in one bed. The hotel seemed a bit old and worn out but it was clean and comfortable and the morning breakfast was fantastic!

The hotel was convenient and very nice. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THAT THEY CHARGED FOR WI-FY. HILTON HOTEL SHOULD NOT BE CHARGING FOR WI-FY. ALSO TO CHARGE FOR PARKING, NOT A GOOD IDEA FOR A HILTON.

It was OK, but not as nice as other Embassy Suites. The manager's reception was pretty skimpy on snacks. The rooms looked worse for the wear. The interiror room was dark because we had our shades drawn, but we were right next to the elevator and we didn't want people looking into the room. We stayed here for a couple nights after our cruise. Although […] they offer free shuttle service to the port of Miami, they apparently do not offer the reciprocal service. We did not find this out until we were hit with a $75 shuttle charge after we arrived at the hotel. We had spoken to hotel staff beforehand, when we were assured that it was not a problem. Several weeks later, I am still angry about the treatment by the front desk staff. I arrived on New Year's Eve, with a confirmed reservation only to be told that the room was not available. I was not alone. There were dozens of other people in the same situation. Front desk staff were clearly not up to the challenge of explaining and apologizing. Five fussy women stayed at the hotel twice in February 2013 and were delighted. The hotel was what I've come to expect from Embassy Suites, very nice, very comfortable, very convenient, but the service at this particular place was, we all thought, outstanding and the employees could not have been more accomodating and gracious.

Very convenient and most important, clean. Staff was very friendly. Only negative was that the airport shuttle was running very behind. We had to wait about 40-45 minutes as every other hotel shuttle passed us numerous times.
