"A good place to stay when in Stevens Point"
11/03/13 Richard V Minneapolis, Minnesota
This Comfort Suites is excellent: quiet rooms, well maintained, a good swimming pool, a good breakfast room, and friendly staff. Kudos especially to the front desk clerk Aisha, who greeted me when I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and was back on duty as friendly as ever when I left Sunday morning.
"Extended Stay Experience"
10/18/13 Paula M Wausau, Wisconsin, United States
Our family suffered a fire at our home on August 8, 2013 and were in need of a place to stay for an extended period of time. The Comfort Suites was the right choice for me and my family, We previously stayed there for a long period of time in 2005 when we moved for a job relocation to Sentry Insurance and both experiences were wonderful. The entire hotel staff should be applauded for the way they treat their guests and keep the hotel looking very clean. The complimentary breakfast was always fresh and kept well stocked for all guests to enjoy. The housekeeping stafff did a fantastic job of keeping on top of all the rooms assuring clean sheets, towels, and toiletries were provided on a daily basis. The front desk employees were gracious and always had a smile on their face. Their willingness to go above and beyond to assure the guests have an enjoyable and relaxing stay in Stevens Point is to be commemded. I would recommend the Comfort Suites to anyone looking for exceptional customer service at an exceptional price.
"Pretty comfortable Comfort"

Have been going to Stevens Point for a recreational event once a year for several years. I travel with a dog, so that's always a consideration. I decided to try the Comfort Suites this year. Overall, a positive experience. The staff in particular were very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was quite decent for a hotel in this class. The grounds to take the dog out on were sparse at best, but we knew that coming in. The room was a 'suite' - the new definition being a larger hotel room with sitting area and foldout sofa. We were actually quite comfortable in the room and all appeared clean and in good working order - with one notable exception. While it appeared to be functioning ok, the A/C unit was woefully underpowered to keep this larger room comfortable. It was warm outside but not sweltering (low 80's, moderately humid). Keeping the AC cranked to the lowest setting didn't matter, we were still uncomfortably warm through the night. That really needs to be addressed and would be the only thing that would cause us to consider staying elsewhere.

About average for a room with some space (suite for one is really just a bit of an expanded room). Stayed for 5 nights during a college expedition, and was generally comfortable. So "comfort" fit I guess. Nothing outstanding about the stay, but everything seemed clean.
"Nice Rooms, Good Location"

Booked a room for a college orientation session. Location was extremely convenient. When we arrived we were told our room was upgraded from a double to a King Suite. The room was fantastic. Nice table for us to work at, with large sitting area, seperate area with a spacious bedroom and very large bathroom with 2 person whirlpool tub and seperate shower. Breakfast was comparable to traditional "warm" breakfasts at other hotels. Didn't use the pool, however the pool area was in a nice location and looked well kept. Only complaint was that they shower could have been cleaned better. There were water stains (black) along the bottom of the shower door and along the walls. With better cleaning of the shower I would give this hotel even higher ratings. We would stay again and would have no issues recommending this hotel for familes, couples or singles.
"Great staff, mostly"

The staff overall worked very hard to ensure a great stay. They were very accommodating in booking the right rooms for the right family. We had a wedding and they made sure all the family was set up right. However, the children staying there were allowed to storm up and down the halls until 3 am, when my 22 and 27 year old nephews, kept awake, called the front desk to complain about the noise. The breakfast and server was very good. The whirlpool didn't want to work without futzing.

Used points to book this room, but was a little disappointed. We got in the room and suspected the room had recently been flooded. There were still tools left in the room and it still smelled like wet carpet. There was also a lot of white dust left in the AC & Heat unit on the wall. Nice to have that blowing out into the room all night : / The previous time I stayed here was for High School Prom, when it was the Comfort Inn. Not sure they deserve the name Suites just yet. Our "Suite" was alleged to have a 4 person hot tub. 2 comfortably fit...Maybe 4 kids.

This will have been the fourth time I have stayed here. I only stay here because of the suite situation and I always take an elder person with. For the most part it is very comfortable and close to the university. The second time we stayed the room wasn't so clean. The third time we stayed the water in the tube did not drain and no one came to fix it so not all could take showers. This last time we stayed the air conditioning didn't work very well and since it was a warmer weekend it was uncomfortable sleeping. Although the people are friendly and the place is fairly comfortable. If it wasn't for the situation when I go up we would probably not stay being that there are many hotels in the area.

This visit was due to a businesses trip. On checking in I was offered a single bed or double bed room. I chose the single bed which ended up being a suite with a king bed. Room was very clean and well maintained. My room had a refrigerator, microwave, pull out couch anda nice HD TV. Very comfortable accommodations. Also the complimentary breakfast was right on target with many choices. I would definitely stay here again for businesses or personal stays.
"Decent hotel, excellent value!"

Stayed for just one night. Loved the location right off the expressway and close to where I needed to be in Stevens Point. The room was good sized with a sitting area. Haven't stayed in a hotel with a tube TV in a long time. This needs to be upgraded. 32" flat screens are dirt cheap now. Should save the paint on the wall, too, since the back of the TV scraped when you wanted to turn it from the sitting area toward the beds. Breakfast was good enough. Typical for a continental breakfast at a hotel. I would stay here again if I ever needed to be in Stevens Point.
