No arcade like the pics advertise, room smelled of smoke, huge dried booger on folded clean towel, no service for chirping smoke alarm in our room, tiny pool, one broken elevator, and lots of noise from highway. Hotel interior is nice and breakfast was above average. Just OK overall.

This was a Spring Break trip for our son and a couple of his friends. The hotel was very convenient to Universal. The hotel staff was excellent. Very courteous and helpful providing us with extra towels and a role-a-way bed. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I enjoyed this hotel...it was so clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I can say that the hotel needs to do different is advise that there is a $50 hold on your account for incidentals and the hold is released for 7-10 days. Every hotel will ask for a credit card for incidentials but I have never had one actually […] hold $50.00 I was extremely unhappy about this and advised the front desk that a sign needs to placed at the front desk or the satff needs to advise...it is not even on the receipt. This is a very nice hotel, conveniently located near Universal Studios Theme Park. It is not elaborately appointed but it is very comfortable and the price is relatively reasonable, considering the location. The full breakfast really IS one, but during most of the morning the dining area is very crowded. The restaurants offer a wide variety of fare, and they get more upscale on Universal as you in the opposite direction from the park. There really is a lot to choose from and a lot to do in the area. I had my vacations between the week of Thanksgiving day. I was looking for a hotel at the proximity of Universal parks and this Hotel is an excellent choice. I was in Orlando with my wife, and found the Hampton Inn to be a very good option for a couple. The room was very clean, good bed and bath and had a table so it is comfortably to work with a Laptop. I […] had some problems with the WiFi connection. Some intermittences occurred, but I resolved them moving the laptop to other location. The reception desk was very kind receiving several packages from Amazon that was sent on behalf of me. Hampton Inn is just 1 block from the International Drive, and very near Premium Outlet mall. I didn’t use the complimentary shuttle service to the Universal Parks because it was not very flexible for us. The shuttle leaves at 8:10 am and returns from the park at 8:20 pm and we wanted to stay longer at the parks. In conclusion, I strongly recommend this hotel for a couple of a family that wants a clean and comfortable room very near the Universal parks. Read more

Overall the experience was very good. The breakfast was excellent (although the place was usually really crowded). The hotel is very crowded, meaning there isn't any room for anything. Everything is right when you walk in the front door, it's too cluttered and gives the appearance of a cheap hotel. We've stayed at several Hampton Inns in Utah and Wyoming and they've always been great, but this hotel in Orlando, South of Universal Studios, had much to be desired. Our room smelled like mold, the bathroom constantly had brown liquid dripping from the ceiling, the sink was clogged and didn't get fixed for 2 days, and once they did fix it, they left […] unidentified goobers all over the counter and sink, and a sewer stench was coming from the drain. Our room was extremely humid and neither the air-conditioner nor the heater dried out the air which was strange because the halls and the rest of the hotel seemed fine. Everytime we'd open the door to our room, everyone always said, what is that smell??!! On a better note, the breakfast in the mornings were great, with a good variety to choose from. Would I stay at this hotel again? No. We always look for hotels that offer breakfast, but there are so many that do, I'd definately look for a hotel with a cleaner room and bathroom. Read more

We stayed 7 nights at this hotel and were very pleased. For what we paid, the location, comfort, and breakfast could not be beat. You could tell the room was a little older, and the room wasn't spotlessly clean, but it wasn't bad. The beds are great (my fiance hates the pillows, but I love them!), and there was a different hot breakfast every day we […] were there (always with some sort of egg dish). The internet, when we had it, was fast, but I contribute the inconsistent signal to the tropical storm. The tv cable package was meager, but we still found something to watch. The only real downside I can say is the size of the bathroom. I am a small person and I thought this bathroom was tiny! You can barely close the door while inside. Thankfully there is a second sink outside of the bathroom, and both sinks have a lot of counter space. If you are a larger person, or if several people share the room, the bathroom might be too small. Oh, and the hotel is about a quater mile to an I-Ride trolley stop and a mile and a half from Universal Studios (do-able on foot if you wear supportive shoes). The trolley doesn't go to Universal, but a shuttle comes once to the hotel at 8:35 am, and returns twice in the evening. Oh, and there's a pool and a kid's pool, but no hot tub ! Read more

I can't really say anything bad about this hotel. My friend and I were so surprised at just how close it was to Universal; the close distance of the park really helped us, as we didn't have to wake up as early as we thought we would have to, in order to arrive there on time. Our beds were very comfortable and it is very easy to feel safe here. The continental […] breakfast was awesome; there are a lot of options and it stays available for the perfect amount of time. People working at the hotel made sure everything stayed clean in the breakfast area, and made sure all the different foods stayed available. They were also very aware of the shuttle schedule to Universal, and made announcements so no one would miss the shuttle if they were taking it. This is a great hotel! This Hotel is fine, nothing special. The staff was friendly, we had to move to three different rooms. The first one was on the third floor and the room smelled of smoke and the window lock had been removed. The window opened all the way(about 2 feet with no screens or bars), with a 7yr old and a 2yr old you could see how dangerous this could be. The […] front desk assured me the usaully have locks on the windows but moved us to another room. The second room the bed had a large stain on the side of the mattress and wall behind. The front desk clerk came up looked at it and move us to a third room. The third room was nice and a little larger than the first two(621). My only real complaint is that the bathrooms are painfully small. You can not shut the door unless you squeezed between the vanity and the side of the toilet which is about a foot wide. So if you don't mind leaving the door open while you use the bathroom or pretending you Gumby when you get out of the shower it's fine. Giving two kids bath's was too challenging, so for that reason alone I would not return. The bed was comfortable! The hotel had a nice breakfast but was a little busy first thing in the morning when everyone is trying to catch the bus to the parks. We did not use the pool, but it was small. Read more

The service we received was excellent. The front staff were extremely friendly. My daughter and I were spending the weekend together. As we came through the door and they saw her doing the 'potty dance' and before I could ask, told me where the bathroom was. We were greeted by a towel bunny when we got to the room and they placed a pair of toy glasses […] on it for my daughter to have. When they said there was a complimentary breakfast, I was expecting just bagels, fruit, coffee and maybe OJ. In addition to all that, they had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffle batter, toast, cereal, jelly, cream cheese and an array of teas. I have to say the room we had was fine, but the hotel was undergoing wallpaper renovations on the same floor we were placed on. This hotel was okay, The rooms were very clean and cleaned on a daily basis. The bathroom however was small for my liking, the door was so close to the toilet you would need to squeeze to one side in order to close it. The breakfast however was great, a variety of foods to choose from and different menu everyday my family and I loved it. The pool was […] okay the only thing I enjoyed from it was that it was heated at night, which was great cause it got pretty chilly at night. The ice machines on every floor did not work! This hotel was pretty close to Universal Studios and it only provided 1 shuttle bus to the park, which does not make any sense, so I was forced to spend extra $$ on cabs because the shuttle time was inconvenient for me. This hotel does provide shuttle to Epcot which is good with 3 different departure times, however the bus that picks you up looks so old, you have to wonder for your safety. Overall the hotel was okay, would I stay here again probably not unless you gave me a free nights stay. Read more
