"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Renaissance Harbourside"
Great hotel in a great location. No need for a car in this area, plus parking is really expensive.

"The Hotel Renaissance in Vancouver"
Loved the hotel - very clean, friendly staff, convenient location to all attractions. Will recommend to my friends to stay there.
Went to Vancouver for just two days and got in very, very late. Hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed, great location, walking distance even to Gastown, if you feel like a bit of exercise... Waterfront Park right there with a most lively festival from India; hop-on-off bus stop right in front, so convenient for everything... Vancouver is beautiful, […] too! Read more

"Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel"
Conveniently located for those arriving by cruise. Hotel room was available at 9:30 a.m. which was appreciated on debarking. Bed was very comfortable, room had comfortable sitting area for reading. Luggage efficiently checked and retrieved on day of departure. Lobby is not convenient for those with limited mobility.

"Renaissance Hotel Vancouver- Ok"
Pluses: Great view if you get a waterfront room. Location is convenient to waterfront and Stanley Park and not far from Robson St. for shopping. Minuses: Older hotel-updated but rooms and bathrooms are very small. In-room dining menu is very small.
"Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside"
Very comfortable and clean. Service excellent. Bed soft and linens top notch. The room was a little dated with sliding closet doors etc. Reasonably close to convention center and airport train (2 blocks) but Fairmont is nearer!
"Renaissance Hotel-Vancouver- Close to all sights"
Beautiful hotel with excellent service. Hotel is a little old and needs to have be updated but overall very nice feeling, gorgeous restaurant setting overlooking the bay with mountains in the back. It was simply stunning. I thought I was in Switzerland and California at the same time. My only suprise was to find that the breakfast buffet and WiFi in […] my bedroom were NOT included in the price of the room. Otherwise the service was excellent and the food was very very good too. "Was a great stay - just don't bring a truck!"
The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were very nice, and the bed was amazing! The tub was surprisingly dirty (around the edges was black), but everything else was clean. DO NOT BRING A TRUCK, though! The parking is meant ONLY for small SUV's and cars. I was driving a Nissan, and had less than a centimeter of clearance at two points - was terrifying! I […] have never needed a drink at 10am so badly before! LOL! The area around the Renaissance is gorgeous, too. So, other than the parking issues, everything was great! Read more
"Good location"
Really good location downtown. Rooms are nice, but small. Fitness and pool facilities are good. You can tell its an older hotel though that has been reno'd. Overall a great place. Only issue was valet parking. Its 29.00 per night plus parking tax and city tax. $40 bucks a night just to park. Insane.

First class stay thank you Vancouver
"Vancouver Harbourside Rennaisance Hotel"
Being that we are locals born and raised in Vancouver, we were extremely impressed with the friendliness and wonderful hospitality we received while staying as "tourists" . Everyone from the taxi driver who dropped us off at our hotel to the front desk clerks and FANTASTIC waiter in the hotel restaurant were so friendly and accomodating. The service […] rcvd from our waiter at dinner was above and beyond the call of duty (we hope he gets recognised) as was the front desk who gave us free bottled water so we would not have to go to the store!! We will definitely recommend and look forward to coming back again! Read more
Comfortable hotel in a quiet area of town near the harbour. Easy walking distance to stanley park, waterbus and skytrain station and shopping areas. Good gym and a fair size pool with daylight, open 24 hrs. Only negative point - no free wireless in the rooms. We paid the extra for internet but it was very slow and kept freezing. While in Vancouver, […] be sure to visit Grouse Mountain for a day - beautiful. And if you're in preety good shape try walking up "The Grouse Grind" - best day of our holiday. Read more

"Renaissance Hotel Downtown Vancouver"
My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Vancouver and as I was booking I came across the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Vancouver. The photos that they have on their website didn't look too appealing, but the price was good and we loved the location. When we got there checking in was fast and efficient, and they upgraded our room over looking the […] harbour. We found the room to be quite nice and the bed was really comfortable. I also like that they offered Aveda bath products to use as well. They have 6 elevators so there is never a wait, and it was overall a very comfortable stay. I would recommend it to anyone. Read more
