The free breakfast was good. The hotel itself was nice, but nothing special. Parking seemed very expensive.
Location.
Connected to the Toronto Eaton Centre shopping complex, this downtown Toronto hotel is within walking distance of the theater, financial, and shopping districts. Sports venues and fine restaurants are also within easy reach.
Hotel Features.
Four restaurants and lounges are on site. A pool and 24-hour fitness room, with city views, are on the 18th floor. The hotel also includes business center.

"Marriot Eaton Centre- Excellent Stay"
I booked this hotel for a girls weekend and it turned out to be just what we were looking for. The location of the hotel was perfect. We were centrally located to many of the Toronto attractions and were able to walk everywhere. We were able to park right in the hotel's gated parking garage. This was great since we wanted to leave our vehicle there […] the whole weekend while we walked to our destinations. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Our group did not know much about downtown Toronto so we asked the staff for recommendations on dining and nightlife. Not only did they give us many options to choose from, but they also mapped out directions for us. Everyone there was extremely friendly and greeted us whenever we walked by. The customer service that we received was top notch and we definitely appreciated the friendliness. I honestly cannot say anything but nice things about the staff and how accommodating they were. Our room that we shared was very nice. The mattresses and bedding were comfortable and the room was clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and enjoyed my stay there. Read more

"Mariott Eaton right by City Hall Toronto"
I did not realize this hotel was right next to the City Hall and was pleasantly surprised. We were in Toronto for TIFF and this hotel was within 5 min walking distance to our theaters, and about 20 min walk to the TIFF main building. Great hotel, clean, well furnished, well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.
"not a great location"
We spent the weekend at this Marriott and had some frustrating moments: hairs in the bathtub, no wifi in the room unless you pay up another $19, which seems incredible in this day and age. Mainly, we just found ourselves in a rather dingy neighborhood - totally safe, but absolutely surrounded by the same old stores in a gigantic mall.

The double bed room that I was promissed was a king bed room and a pull out sofa. No room at all when the sofa bed was opened. The room was not clean.Cereals and plastic rappping on the sofa bed, hair on the pillow case. Not enough towels. The image on plasma screen TV blurry. The electrician came and fixed it. The swimming pool not clean, with floating […] things on the surface, worn towells. Not at all a 4 star hotel standards. "Concierge level amenities closed before holiday"
I have booked 2 rooms at hotel.com for concierge level with the expectations of able to access the amenities as stated in the Marriott website and hotels.com. As we get there, they have stated to us that they do not have the concierge amenities available during holidays. But we book our room Dec. 30 and leaves Dec 31 which is before the holidays. Had a fun girlfriend weekend in the heart of Toronto. Very nice room, extremely comfortable beds and even the sofa bed was comfy. The staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations and were personal and warm. Even with the late night room service the staff was friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

"Not the best"
Great location, but there are several other hotels on that same block. The aesthetics are nice, but the front desk service is bad. No one knows where to go, or who is next, and the staff doesn't care. The restaurant and bar are nice, and free wi-fi is provided. The room is very nice too, but no fridge. Parking is great and very safe - unlimited in/out […] privileges. Vending is on every floor, but only drinks and ice machines. Main advantage to this hotel is that there are several different ways to get out to the city (Eaton Centre, back way through an old chuch lot, Bay street, etc) Recommended only if you have few requests other than sleep, or don't mind paying for room service otherwise. Overall, my stay was pleasant enough, but like all large downtown hotels, this one had its "warts". Most annoying was the lack of any orderliness at check-in, as well as an apparent inattentiveness on the part of desk staff to the fact that people were waiting. "The best hotel I have ever stayed in!"
This hotel really is the best hotel to stay in. It is close to Toronto's equivalent of Times Square (Eaton Centre) as well as the CN Tower, a popular attraction. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant manager, Ralph, spent 20 minutes telling us about all of the "must see" places in Toronto when we couldn't decide what to do on a Friday […] night. "Everything a Hotel Should Be"
A very smooth stay, from the check in to check out. The room was ready when I arrived. It was clean and very large. I was lucky to receive one of the rooms with the window box. The fitness club is small but it has all the equipment that one needs for a workout. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff was knowledgeable, the waiter actually […] recommended several other restaurants for me to try the next night. The concierge wasn't as nice as the staff I encountered but he also was knowledgeable. It's a nice feature that the hotel is only a short walk from the Eaton Centre. The only problem is the Eaton Centre closes early on the weekends, so if you expect to do a little shopping after a day of sightseeing or even make a quick purchase, you probably won't be able to. Pro: Good location, great rooms, upscale. Con: Not a single vending machine on any of the floors were working. And when your thirsty at 1am, this can be a MAJOR issue.

"Nice for the money"
Room seemed a little small, but probably standard for downtown Toronto. Very clean and staff was helpful. Garage was tight. Would stay there again if in Toronto.

Hotel was wonderful. Room was plush and comfy. Can't beat Bath & Bodyworks shampoos and lotions!! We were only there one nite as the family was in Toronto to see the Red Sox vs the Blue Jays. 30 minute walk to the Rogers Center thru downtown Toronto. Beautiful Metropolitan city. Hotel is connected to the Eaton Center for shopping and there were plenty […] of interesting restuants in the neighborhood that we wish we could have visited. "Excellent service, clean, good location, quality hotel for the money!!"
I can't say nothing negative about this hotel. The front desk personnels were ALL professional (5 star!) includ. the bell captain, Yohei. They were most helpful with anything you asked. They handled the private party next to my room professionally and put it under control in a timely manner and moved them to a different room away from occupied rooms. […] The rooms were clean, nicely renovated, and had good shower (I hate the water conservation controls).My room faced the old church which was very nice. The free breakfast buffet was unbelievable; excellent quality of danish, array of cheese/fruits, hot buffet (fresh waffles w whipped cream)and made-to-order omelette station. The breakfast itself was worth the room rate for 4 of us. The location can not be better; next to the major mall, shops, square for entertainment on the weekends, great restaurants, and the subway (5 min. walk)only 2 bldgs. away. The parking is expensive. Hotel staff were extremely helpful. Let us check in at 10am which was great. Doorman also was friendly and helpful. Beds were extremely comfortable and I liked the bed coverings and pillows, they are better than your usual hotel fare. The location can't be beat for shopping and shows.
