2 block easy walk from main train station, and entry to subway and train from airport(SBahn) at front door. Across the street from the main walkway through old town. Easy 10 minute walk to Rathaus and 2 minutes more to Hofbrau House. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly

The Good: Lovely reception service and a good snitzel at the bar. BMW limo to airport for the same price as a regular taxi cab. The Bad: This is a heavy smoking hotel which seems to cater almost exclusively to misbehaved Russian visitors. The room had ashtrays even though we asked for a no smoking room. A smoking odor would "surface" annoyingly every […] now and then when opening a closet or fluff a pillow. My wife and I had to "squeeze" our own luggage (unassisted by hotel staff!), by a group of four of five Russians blocking the front revolving door, who were too busy speaking into their cell phones to move out of the doorway. The atmosphere reminds one more of a Moskow pub rather than a 5 star hotel in the heart of Munchen. Breakfast room was full of visibly hungover Russians and that of cell phone melody ringing. The note on each table stating "NO CELL PHONES USE" was effectively being ignored and the German staff appeared too timid or embarrassed to do anything about it. Breakfast stops at 10:30AM and two English speaking visitors at a table next to ours who showed up a few minutes late were refused service. However, another two cell phone talking Russians appeared 15 minutes later, and their coffee cups were promptly filled by the staff before they sat in their chairs. We shared these facts with our limo driver on the way to airport and the answer came simply and honestly: "These Russians have lots of money!" Read more

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days. The hotel is quite old and needs renovation. I wouldn't rate it as a 5 star hotel, it's a good 4*. The pictures offered on the website are misleading. The location of the hotel is pretty good.

So my friends and I went to book a hotel for Oktoberfest, VERY LAST MINUTE. We were left with very few options near the actual Oktoberfest tents/train station. This hotel had availability, but it was an absurd price! Then again, whether we found hostels or hotels, the prices were outrageous. However, since all of our options were expensive, we thought we would pay a tiny bit extra for the nice Hotel rather than the hostel. Positives: -very helpful staff -free wifi -ipad to borrow for our room -free water and Oktoberfest cookies -24 hour front desk staff -luxurious rooms with bathrobes, slippers, toiletries -we arrived WAY too early, and our room was not ready. So the staff took all of our stuff, and gave us a pass to the SPA so we could freshen up. -When we finally arrived later in the day to see our room, our luggage had already been placed in the hotel room! The Steam Room. Sauna and resturant were either broken or closed for renovation for the month of August, no prior notification at time of booking. The hot tub had a cool temperature. The Hotel carpeting was worn and needed replacing. The bed was HARD, like renting a torture chamber for 5 days! Ouch!

Photos on internet are NOT what the hotel looks like in reality!! It's a good 4 star business hotel but NOT a 5 star. And certainly should NOT be a leading hotel. I was very, very very disappointed by the service and room quality. Rooms are dusty, cheap furniture, old TV set (c'mon even 3 star hotels these days have LCD screens...but not the Koenigshof). […] Asked for change of towels at night (a regular service at 5 stars) but did not get it. I booked 2 rooms at this hotel for me and my wife and for another couple. Found it within a few weeks o the 2010 Oktoberfest yet still found available rooms at very reasonable rates -- particularly for the date and location. Wonderful hotel in a great spot close to main train station (Munich HbF), Marienplatz, and the Oktoberfest grounds.

The Koenigshof is a modern, relatively small, and very pleasant hotel in Munich. The staff is unfailingly pleasant and helpful; virtually all are fluent in English. The hotel has a good restaurant (Michelin gives it a star) and is across a large thoroughfare from the principal, pedestrians-only, shopping area in central Munich. This hotel is set in lovely landscaped gardens. It is tired & needs refurbishing but this does not detract from the comfort. After an active day it would have been to have a bath. However the wonderful Michelin starred restaurant was fantastic & made up for hotel's negative points.

Номера категории стандарт - вид на задний двор отеля - на вход в магазин Карштадт. тихо, но номера маленькие и прокуренные (хотя мой был для некурящих). Есть кофеварка […] и бесплатно дают 2 бутылки воды. с 18 до 22 бесплатная сауна и спа и тренажерный зал. бар и ресторан не дешево. このホテルの最大の利点は場所にあります。ホテルは地下鉄の上にあり地下鉄をを降りてから５分～６分ほどでホテルに着きます。隣と裏にはには百貨店もありマリエン広場へも７～８分で行くことができます。隣にはトラム１９番の停留所もありレジデンスやブランドショップへの移動も便利です。その他の５ツ星ホテルも検討しましたがドイツの道路は石畳ですのでトランクの移動が大変なことを考えると非常に楽でした。スタッフの対応については丁寧なサービスは皆無ですが心証を悪くするほどではありません。室内も清潔で快適な滞在でした。ただ外見は５ツ星とは思えない雰囲気ですので内容とのギャップに驚かされます。

9月の上旬に3連泊しました。 夕方のチェックインでしたが、5星のホテルにしては部屋が全体的に粗末な印象で、特に水回りはバスタブなし、洗面台も狭く、非常に不満でした。 このため、ホテル側と交渉して、なんとかバスタブのある部屋にチェンジしてもらいましが、部屋の広さは手狭で、スーツケース２つ置くには不十分で、かなり不満が残りました。 ただし、朝食ビュッフェは種類も豊富で満足でした。

外観は少し古臭いが、部屋の中は改装済みで、バスルームは広く、きれい。部屋のインテリアはクラシックな雰囲気でまとめられている。果物のサービスや、夜のベッドメイクにチョコレートが添えられていたりと、サービスは５つ星ホテルとして素晴らしいものがあった。駅前のソフィテルは施設は新しく快適だが、サービスだけみると、こちらのホテルの方が５つ星に相応しいと思った。無料サービスのミネラルウォーターはたっぷり1.5リットルのペットボトル。こんなに気前のよいミネラルウォーターのサービスは初めて見た。立地も、駅から３、４分で、町の中心のマリエン広場までも歩いて５、６分と、便利な場所にある。無線LANも無料なのも良かった。

ミュンヘンの旧市街を散歩するなら、最適の場所だということを知っていましたので、ぜひおすすめできるホテルだと思います。カールス門がすぐ窓の外に見え、市庁舎の尖塔も見えます。部屋は隅々まで行き届いています。朝食は素晴らしい素材に恵まれていますが、難をいえば種類が今一つという気がしました。レストランには陽気なおじさんと非常に清潔な若者が対応してくれ、好印象でした。

期待通り、ホテルの格調、接客態度、部屋の状況、立地条件等々どれを取っても高いレベルの合格点をつけられます。宿泊費に含まれる朝食も大変おいしくいただきました。土産物も買える地元のデパート(Kaufhof)もめの目にあるし、市内観光の主要ポイントであるマリエン広場も軽く徒歩圏内。もちろん、ミュンヘンといえばビヤホール、その代表格のホフブロイハウスへも徒歩で。(酔っても歩いて帰れます) ただし、今回気がついたのが“駅前”は以外にも大変ということ。ミュンヘンHBFで列車を降りてから、駅前ホテルとそうでないところのホテルとをホテルまでの歩く距離で比べると、駅前ホテルのほうが長いですよね。これが、重い荷物を持っている場合は意外に大変。ヨーロッパの道は石畳のようで以外に凹凸が激しくキャスター付きでも転がす […] のに一苦労でした。でもこれはホテルの責任ではありません。しかし、ホテルのボーイさんが駅まで荷物を運んでくれるサービスがあるとチップを大奮発するのですが、残念ながらそのようなサービスはありませんでした。次回訪問の機会があれば、宿泊先の有力候補であることは間違いありません。 Read more

We arrived late in the evening in pouring rain and struggled with bags and children with no assistance from the Bellhop standing nearby. We had asked for non-smoking in our reservation and were given extremely smelly smoking rooms - our clothes and bags all smelt of smoke when we got home - that's how strong it was. When we asked for non-smoking rooms […] we were told very abruptly that it was not possible to move us. Staff were mostly disinterested in providing assistance. We went into the bar after dinner for a nightcap and the attendant behind the counter shouted across the room at us that the entire section was reserved, not polite, not regretful, just rude. One bathroom smelt of faeces and had no windows or extractor fan. The hotel is extremely ugly outside and has trams passing by all night and extremely bright lights outside with black out curtains that don't cover the windows. The beds are small (double beds, not King Size as would be expected from a top hotel), hard and uncomfortable. The towels in the bathroom are thin, hard and scratchy. We chose this hotel as it is one of the "Leading Hotels of the World" hotels and they're usually excellent. I don't see why it has this rating. It is mediocre at best!! Die Preise sind relativ hoch, besonders der Room-Service ist verhältnismäßig teuer, und Frühstück und Garage werden extra berechnet, aber die Bedienung ist durchweg professionell, sehr aufmerksam, zurückhaltend und sehr freundlich. Die Räume sind komfortabel bis luxuriös, jedenfalls ansprechend, eingerichtet, teilweise findet man sehr kostbare Tuche […] und wertvolle Möbel. WLAN in jedem Zimmer. Was mich etwas störte, war eine (geringe) Verschmutzung der langflorigen Teppichböden, die vielleicht darauf zurückzuführen ist, dass Haustiere zugelassen sind. Auch waren die Betten zu weich; bei einem früheren Besuch hatte ich bessere. Ein verlorener Gegenstand wurde vielleicht nicht ausreichend dynamisch gesucht.
