Nice Hotel right off the interstate. the down side is you hear the road noise all night. Plus, the train that comes blowing through at 2am. I wish I had a fan to drown out the noise or earplugs.... Both really.

The room smelled something horrible. When i got home everything had to be washed. The sheets didnt fit the bed...they kept coming off during the night. We left a day early. I would not stay there again. I rather pay a few more dollars to stay at a nicer hotel.

The outside of the hotel does not look so hot, but the inside has been renovated so it's up to date. The location is convenient to the interstate and the convention center. Lake Charles is rundown so any hotel location will be the same. The hotel service was good and the rate was reasonable.

I've stayed in some cheap hotels before and I chose this one with an open mind because "Hey it's a big chain, how bad can it really be", but this hotel was terrible. We stayed 2 nights over the end of December and the temperature was in the 30's. The first night we checked in so late, that we didn't really notice but there wasn't a blanket on the bed. […] We had a sheet, that soft brown fleece type thing that every hotel puts in between the sheet and the comforter, and another sheet where the comforter should have been. We froze our butts off all night unless the heater was on high in which case we were burning up. There was no in-between. The second night, we went to the front desk and asked for a blanket. They told us they didn't have any and there was one in the room. When we said we only had 2 sheets in the room and were freezing, they told us sorry. The hotel was 1/4 full at best so I asked if they would take me to into an empty room and see if it was set up the same, but they wouldn't agree to that or agree to come in my room and look at my set up. Also, the hotel had a free continental breakfast, but every time I stepped foot in the office, I wanted to gag. The smell was just terrible, there was no way I was going to try and eat breakfast in there. Next time I'll spend a little more and stay somewhere else. Read more

The lobby had a smell that wasnt plesant and the room had a odor that wasnt plesant but we were only there for two nights and wasnt spending much time in the room so i stayed the room really needed dusting and the sheets didnt fit the bed well they kept coming lose Didnt eat breakfast they offered because of the smell in the lobby

We had problems with our room key, and it took about 30 minutes for the managers to finally fix it. They offered no compensation for our troubles. There was also a hole in the wall of our shower. The hotel location is convenient, but it is very low quality.

We were in town to gamble and didn't want to spend alot on a hotel. Everthing was nice and clean. Parking lot was full when we came back to hotel but parking lot had lots of light so parking a little away from the room was ok. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning on our next trip

Once I arrived to my room there was a stinch of mildew and uncleanliness. I walked down and was offered an air fresher. When one wasn't found he offered a new room. This room was better. The next night after coming from swimming, I sent my daughter to ask for towels. When she came back empty handed I was amazed of her answer that there weren't any. […] I went up front and the answer was housekeeping was gone and they were the only ones with a key and would not return till morning. 1st, we get there at 2:50 for a 3:00 check-in. We had to wait until 3:00. My friend needed to go to the restroom after 1 1/2 hour trip to Lake Charles. The restroom was out of order. So, we had to go hunt for another restroom. I came back to the hotel and told I was on the second floor with one bed. I requested handicap accessible and 2 beds. Very upset. […] Once it room, there was 2 full-size beds. Better than one bed. So, we left to go eat, came back to room to get ready for wedding; however, needed ice. Went to get ice, they were out and it would be 3 to 4 hours before they would have any. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper. After returned from the wedding (11:00 at night), there was no place to park, so I squeezed next to the dumpster. Again, not happy. Left to go to the casino and parked next to other vehicles that had formed a new row in the middle of the parking lot. If you like living next to railroad track with trains coming thru everyone 3 hours or listening to the I-20 traffic as if your room is actually on the interstate, this is the place for you!!! When we got there the manager was on the phone, stern with a company on the phone, not very friendly. Our room smelled funny and took all day to cool. The second night was better but there were kids running around upstairs, parents sat on the stairs and didn't try to keep them behaved. Comp breakfast was very limited and not well kept up.

We booked this hotel b/c it was one of the only options left for the weekend we needed. It is literally right on the interstate and there is a railroad track directly behind the hotel so the noise level is pretty high. The room smelled like mold, carpet needed cleaning and the bathroom seemed dirty. You could tell some type of renovation had been done […] to the room but it didn't help the overall feel. Parking spaces are also tight. I didn't have internet connection or an iron in the room. We booked for 2 nights and only had 2 towels, no housekeeping. The hotel is very old and musty smelling. They are working on the bridge just outside of the hotel and the traffic is horrible getting in and out of the hotel unless you are coming in late at night. Our air conditioner was loud and the room felt very damp. It was difficult to sleep because of the noise from the ac athough the bed was ok but the sheets […] were very thin. It is a great location to be at with easy access to Lake Charles, L'Auberge, and Coushatta, but it is a run down hotel that is not well kept up with. If you just need a cheap place to crash and you do not care of anything else, then this would be a great place for you. If you are looking for service and cleanliness, then that is a whole chapter to itself. […] Staff is not rude, but not attentive. The bathroom had hair on the ground, urine that had not been cleaned from the toilet, and poop stains just under the lid of the toilet. OMG....that was disgusting!!! Bath was dirty all around. Told the night clerk, after hours and the main door to the lobby was locked, that the refrigerator was broken. He was sleeping in his chair with a pillow propped on the counter for his head to lay on and he assured me that he would make note of the refrigerator to be fixed. Guess what? It never happened. When checking out, the nice lady told me she was sorry and that a work order or note was never left. Apparently, sleep was more important to the overnight guy then working and taking care of customers. Overall, I would NOT recommend this hotel and will definitely not be staying there again. This hotel was a great location for our purposes. The room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it definitely was NOT, as we were greeted with a very strong smell of cigarette smoke when we walked in. A two day stay for two. Room was not clean after leaving for over eight hours after seeing the cleaning person two door down from the room. No extra clean towels. Call to report room was not cleaned, desk stated the cleaning person went home early. Had to go back up the front desk in the cold to get bath towels, no face towels available.
