I had business in Brisbane & ended up staying in Ipswich. Most Aussies in Brisbane didn't talk highly of ipswich, but I didn't mind it but only stayed for a night. Convenient location, a few restaurants in walking distance, friendly staff. Offered FREE parking & wi-fi (in lobby) which is unheard of in AU. Clean, nice room. I have stayed at 6 hotels in AU in the last 2 weeks and my biggest complaint is the parking, charging for parking, & charging for the internet, lack of wi-fi in rooms.

our bedroom window faced the story bridge and at night it looked amazing. It is also a short walk from all of the features of Brisbane CBD like shopping. All and all I would definitely stay here again.

I would recommend this hostel for its cleanliness and friendliness. Because of what it is it doesn't have the amenities of major hotel, but that wasn't what we were looking for. We wanted a relatively inexpensive accommodation that was convenient to airport and cruise port that was also clean and provided good service. The Bowen Terrace was homey, friendly, comfortable, and a pleasant place to be.
Location.
Situated in Brisbane, Citigate King George Square is close to Museum of Brisbane, Queen Street Mall, and Roma Street Parkland. Also nearby are Brisbane Convention Centre and Suncorp Stadium.
Hotel Features.
Citigate King George Square has an outdoor pool, a steam room, and a sauna. Public areas are equipped with wireless Internet access (surcharges apply). Business amenities at this 4.5-star property include a business center, small meeting rooms, and a meeting/conference room. Dining options at this luxury hotel include a restaurant, a coffee shop/café, and a poolside bar. The staff can arrange business services, tour assistance, and currency exchange. "Comfortable and convenient"
In downtown and close to trains. Comfortable rooms and good facilities.Expensive Internet
"Good hotel in good location"
My wife and I stayed one night at the Citigate King George Square one night before we returned home from a seven-night holiday in southeast Queensland. The hotel is in excellent condition; recently refurbished, I presume. Our room was small, but tidy and comfortable. "Great Location!"
Citigate King George Square is in perfect location to everything in the Brisbane CBD. Under ground bus station right outside, Central Train station and Queen Street Mall all within a short walking distance from the Hotel. Would defiantly stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends. Room was clean and tidy.
Hay no happy alarm clock wak me up I think that was fire alarm.
"Front desk"
front desk staff were excellent Pool/sauna area could do with a spruce up.

"Disappointing Customer Service"
I had booked a twin room at the hotel several months ago and requested twin beds as I was taking my daughter to Brisbane for her birthday. It seems the hotel got a number of "group" bookings so ours was bumped and we were given one double bed in the room - after some discussion we were provided with a trundle at no extra cost however it was a disappointing […] part of our weekend away. It seems that despite booking early the "on request" note means you can be pushed aside at any time. Read more

"Expensive Internet"
Hotel was OK, good location. But the price for the use of the internet is far too high. We paid 30 AUD$ f0r 24 hours Internet-Access. Nowadays thats a rip off for this service, that is free in other hotels in the same price range.
