we had a bad experience at another hotel in Montreal so we came directly here and they put us in a room an extra night and used the same room for our original booking so for 3 nights we stayed instead of 2 and they were very very helpful and courteous.I would definately book this hotel in the future

We stayed there for three nights. Generally speaking, the hotel is OK to stay. The rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are some bad things as well. The hallways and elevator have a bad odor. Inside the room AC makes a lot of noise. Other than that everything was OK. This hotel is not what you think. The web site shows a very respectable looking facility. The facts: The beds "sag" in the middle and need replaced. Wi-Fi is limited to areas next to routers, beware. Heating & Cooling is very poor and noisey. The carpet was stained, dirty, and worn in many locations. Doors rattle, slam, and need replaced/adjusted. No […] complimentry breakfast and the vending machines don't work well. Only 1 washer and dryer for entire facility. The Pool was closed most of the time due to mechanical issues. The staff is not very pleasant and always has an excuse for the conditions... I spend more than 75 nights a year in Motels, work related. This is one of the worst that I have booked. If you are booking online, avoid this Motel. If your passing through the area...check your room first. It's better than sleeping outside in the rain, but not by much. It's about what you'd expect - the staff was very nice, the room was simple and unexciting, the location is convenient, the neighborhood is basically strip-mall and commercial. The restaurant/bar next door had decent food. While we did not use it, they had just finished renovating the indoor pool, and it looked very inviting. The standard cable TV service […] had plenty of channels, but who rents a room to watch TV?? Only two very minor issues - the room smelled suspiciously like it was formerly a smoking room. Either that, or the previous occupant had a serious foot odor problem. Either way, we opened the window and that was enough to clear the air. The other oddity was what appeared to be a wireless router hanging by its cable in the hallway. Since it was unlike any of the other wall mounted routers, we think they were probably just in the process of updating the equipment, and this was the last one to go. Did'nt affect our stay, just thought it was odd. Simply put - for a basic place lay your head at a very reasonable rate, we would recommend this hotel. Read more

Have stayed here before and I will go back and stay again. For my needs, it was very good. All staff are great from the booking right down to the cleaning staff. Very friendly atmosphere. The restaurant just across from the hotel is a good place to eat as well.

We booked a room that was supposed to have a fridge and microwave, but when we arrived, there was none. The room was very small and we felt it seemed hard for two people to move around in it. It was near the Hwy and you can hear the sound of the traffic at night. The service was not great. There was often no one at the front desk.

First night was too claustrophobic for two people especially when they are on an extended stay over 4 nights. Thank goodness a larger room became available for the final 3 nights. We were able yo move about without bumping each other or luggage in the process.

Aside from the age of the building itself everything was amazing. Broadway Bar and Grill connected to hotel. Pool is under maintenance and the single elevator is slow and rickety to say the least. If you have a car great place to stay just out of down town and easy parking.

We were treated to friendly staff and a clean room. Unfortunately a fire alarm was pulled around 0630, but that is completely out of the realm of responsibility of the hotel staff.We would certainly consider another stay at Travelodge.

The service was very disappointing, some staff was helpful others just couldn't be bothered it was just a pay check to them and they didn't want to be there. We booked in advance based on them having a pool for the kids, we never got notice that their pool got shut down for safety reasons and then they gave us passes for aocal pool but we were there […] 4 days and were given one set of passes and told they did t have enough to go around! We had one major disappointment. We travelled with 5 children who were all excited to swim in the pool, but when we arrived there the pool was under renovations. We should have been told that when we booked the trip. The Hotel was good enough to give us passes to a wave pool away from the motel but we still should have been informed about the reno.

We not are not smokers but had to choose a smoking room to find a room for this weekend. We found the floors dirty and the state of the room really dirty. The next day we came back from our room after being out all day and the cleaning staff had not cleaned our room. The cleaning lady on the floor said it wasnt her room to clean, but 5 mins lady she […] said that she made a mistake. threw us asome towels and that was it. I approached the front desk satff to receive the following words, "These things happen, sorry" no other offer. I just spent, what I feel is my last stay at this travel lodge. I booked and prepaid for a queen size bed, but my assigned room (302) was only a double bed which was very uncomfortable, very lumpy. I was up most of the night with a sore back. I travel a lot, and experienced many types of rooms and beds and this was the worst. We were very satisfied. Very quiet despite the close proximity to the 417. Being a non-smoker I found the odor in the room quite strong, however, my traveling companion-- a smoker--did not and I booked it for her benefit.Will definitely return at a later date.
