"Brand new and luxurious"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The casino hotel had been open less than a month when we visited. Everything was brand new. The room and bath were spacious, beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the pillow the best I've ever experienced in a hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had noticed that one review mentioned cigarette smoke in the hallways, but this was not a problem on the fourth floor.

"could not have been better"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 28, 2012
We asked for a quiet room and were put furthest away from the freeway so we heard no noise at all at night. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean. The bathtub did not drain very fast but it didn't bother us at all. Breakfast was very good - lots to select from. All in all I would rate it excellent. Took a look at the indoor pool and spa. Next time will bring swim suit for sure. We needed our card key to get into the building so felt very secure.

Very happy with a good handicapped room.
"Great quiet place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 22, 2012
We arrived on Saturday and stayed through part of the week so it may be busier on the weekends but we found it to be a great quiet get away to spend our time. It is an isolated location but beautiful, quiet, right on the ocean. We travel with out dogs and there were great walking trails on the water as well as the rocky beaches for us and them. Great spa massage, and there are two restaurants on site.

"Good/Bad"
office staff was great, housekeeping was a bit lacking - didn't replace used glasses or coffee, took towels even when on use again rack. Property was clean and neat.
"Bellingham hotel good restaurants near, but..."
hallways and rear entry very shabby. Two sleepless nights and complained of noise from upstairs guests but nothing was done. Breakfast average. Some evidence of recent upgrades, but public areas need attention and night management needs to be more responsive to problems.
"Close to everything, amazingly attractive staff"
Best hotel ever.
"Great staff"
Great little hotel with excellent staff. Breakfast better than the average.
"Had what we needed; not a scenic location"
Big, comfortable rooms with everything we needed; good value for the price. Located on a business route that's not scenic or pedestrian friendly. Close to WWU if you're visiting there. Breakfast was good, nothing fancy.
"We liked the room very much."
We found amazinly designed room. The perfect bed, pretty cool TV and fully equiped bathroom - all this was far from the level we expected for such nice costing. Plus very friendly personnel. We stay delighted.
Overall good value, clean & had all the basics. They do need to replace some furniture, legs on the table little wabbly- kind of old.
"Days inn in bellingham wa"
The people were nice but the room was dirty and the neighborhood did not make me feel safe. I probably won't be staying there again.
Breakfast was okay, cereal, juice, bagels, etc. In the room, 2 of the 4 lights had burnt out bulbs. In the bathroom door did not close (warped?), the faucet fell apart when turning on the water. The door room (to hallway) was difficult to close as well.
"Decent place for close to downtown Bellingham"
The walls are a little thin, and there were some loud people our first night. They let us move rooms for the second night, so that was nice. It's affordable, and a good location to downtown bham. I would stay here again.
Clerks were pleasant, room was clean and comfortable. The Continental Breakfast had a nice variety. For the price I wouldn't hesitate to recommending to others.
"Horrible"
I remember when Days Inn as a brand was consistent and predictable and delivered value for the great price. There is no excuse for the level of disrepair, dirt, bugs and non-working plumbing. The place just overall was a rip-off and if I could have walked out I would have. There is a lot of competition out there and I suggest you use it in this case […] or experience what I did...total and amazing terrible product and service. This is what reviews are really for..to save you t he trouble and the nasties. These people have no right to take our money and I can only hope that enough negative reivews pile up to make a different. I am never using this brand again. Read more
"Days Inn in Bellingham - Consistently good!"
I stay at this motel whenever I come up to visit my son at college. The service is always good, very pleasant, the room is very clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly and responsive to any requests. Great location close to WWU.
"Good deal, satisfied!"
Days inn is not your 4-5 star hotel, so the quality is what you'd expect. The reasonable price makes it more attractive. The staff were excellent, breakfast was not too bad, and you could see the effort they put in to making your stay more comfortable. cofffee and hot water for tea available 24/7, that was my favorite part.
"Lovely, Easy Hotel"
This hotel is pretty inexspensive, but for your money it's nice. The rooms are clean, nice showerhead, lots of TV channels, heater/AC in room... what more do you need! The staff was extremely friendly, and there was a continental breakfast in the morning.

"Days Inn, Bellingham WA."
Good Hotel at a very affordable rate, when booked through Hotel.com. Lots of good restaurants very close as well as gas stations, grocery stores and other shopping too.

"Dried blood on sheets and mold in bathroom"
So there is 5 star hotels, and 1 star hotels. For all of these, you expect some basic things to hold true. Sheets without dried blood on them. Mold in the shower the size of your hand which you are told "oh ignore that, we just can't get it off." These are things you would assume are situations any reasonable hotel would not do. Our stay at the Day's […] inn was the exception. When we brought these matters to the attention of the hotel, we were asked to ignore the mold and got an apology for the blood. When we asked for another room just to shower in (since they said they could not find us a cleaner room) that other room's shower hand mold on the shower curtain. This was the worst stay i have ever had. I have stayed in cleaner hostels in europe then this days inn. Run away. We did. (we had booked 2 nights, but left for another hotel). Read more

"Motel in Bellingham, WA - Good Location"
The motel was nice, room was clean and front desk service very good and friendly. Away from freeway and mostly quiet. Nothing fancy, but a good place to sleep and stay for a day or more.
"Nicely Redecorated"
the remodeling is excellent

Perfect location for a Western Washington visit. Simple hotel, but we check in late and left early,so we didn't need fancy. Bed was a bit soft and felt older, but we had a good sleep. Reception staff was courteous.
We were placed at the 3rd floor with non-smoking room and there had no elevator at the building. The carpet was so dirty. We booked 2 rooms and my friend told me they found hairs on their bed sheet, wondering if the bedding has been changed.
"Days Inn Bellingham-Average Stay"
Service was quick. When we got to our room there were two large fans in it. The shower leaked onto the hotel room floor, resulting in our socks getting wet. The breakfast was good and had a wide array of choices. Right off the highway and close to local grocery stores. Pleased but not thrilled with this hotel.

This hotel was convenietly located to WWU. It was clean and the staff was friendly. The property and building itself is old and needs to be remodeled. The price was right for one night.
"Days Inn bellingham. Hope you didn't need to sleep"
At check in the guest service rep at the front desk was very kind and informative. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on around you. we were visiting friends we hadn't seen in a long time so we were out late and when all the guests started getting up and out at around 6 a.m. it was extremely loud in our room. not to mention […] the maid started vacuuming the room next to ours before 8 a.m. Apparently another guest was just as annoyed as we were, because she asked the maid to please stop vacuuming so early in the morning. Apparently she didn't feel she needed to honor the wishes of the woman because it did not keep her from finishing her vacuuming in that room. and all the the others up until we decided we couldn't take it any longer. We checked out early and drove the 2 hours to get home just so we could finally get some rest. Although the woman at the front desk was very friendly the day before, it did not make up for the maid the next day. Read more

"Very friendly, clean, perfect overnight stop."
Staff very friendly, even at 1.30am when we came in, breakfast was totally good enough to get going again first thing in the morning. Impressed with their tea quality, actually.
"OK but somewhat run down Days Inn"
This motel was OK but has seen better days. As long as your expectations are not too high and you are just there to sleep and then move on, the room rate is about right. In this case we got what we paid for. We had a 1st floor room and had a lot of foot traffic noise coming from the room above us in the morning. Two queen beds with four pillows per […] bed. Read more
"You get what you pay for!"
Days Inn in Bellingham is an OK cheap hotel. Stayed there one night, although it was noisy, the hotel was centrally located (next to the U), checking/out was easy. Breakfast food was not that terrible. It's a good price if you're looking to just sleep there for a night or two. The hallways are a bit run downs but the rooms looks good.
"Bellingham Hotel - Clean, pleasant stay."
Great value for the price.
"Basic, quiet, clean, slightly run-down"
This was a fine hotel for our 3-night stay in Bellingham. It was clean and adequately-equipped. We were pleased to find our room was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. The neighborhood is nothing special--but there's plenty to do and see within 5-10 miles. A few things appeared to be crumbling around the edges--the trim along the bathroom […] doorframe was peeling away and prevented the door from closing. Tiles showed their age. Hot water was inconsistent. Two room light bulbs were burnt out and remained that way for our stay, though we left a note on the first day. But it was adequate. The hotel was quiet and seemed clean. "Slept like babies! Well fed at Breakfast too!"
We stayed in a ground floor room with 2 queen beds. The beds were heavenly and we all (4 of us) slept very soundly. The breakfast provided was very good and filling. There was never anything "empty" in the buffet. Breads of many kinds (white/WW), muffins, bagels, waffles, cereals, oatmeal, coffee, milk, juices. Well done! We also enjoyed talking with […] the other guests and finding out about their travels and destinations. Thanks. Read more

"Good place for a cheap stay."
This hotel is an older days in and it shows. Usually fairly clean when I have stayed there in the past. Central location with a good selection of food within walking distance. The neighborhood around it is a little sketchy, but I have had no issues so far. The hotel is usually one of the cheapest around, and is within walking distance of WWU so it works […] for me. "Simple & Inexpensive"
This is all we needed during the Bellingham Bay Marathon. It was less than 1 mile from the start line and inexpensive. The room was nice, & breakfast was good, but the building is old & the hallway stinky.
