We were on a driving trip through Canada and stayed at numerous hotels. We were pleasantly surprised by the service, the beauty and the comfort of this hotel. It was within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.We would recommend this hotel highly.

The Hotel is in an excellent location, has a very friendly and accomodating staff. The rooms were kept clean, were very comfortable and if you have a Crown Room, exceptional with the large meeting room where they have refreshments, etc. and your group can get together.

We paid to up ourselves to their Crown level but that was some what disappointing when compared to the other similar arrangements at the Fairmonts or the Ritz Carltons.

Loved it! Everything was wonderful. All points of interest were within walking distance. Parked the car ($20.00 per night fee) and did not use it the entire time we were in Halifax. Please note the Prince George is located on a rather steep hill which might make walking difficult for some individuals.

This is a great location in downtown Halifax. Just about everything is in walking distance, even though it's a little "hilly". We walked to the gardens, the Citadel, the docks, and a lot of shopping.there are lots of pubs and resturants very close by. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, the room very comfortable, quiet, and clean.

superb breakfast service, nice rooms, the elevator was a little noisy sometimes, the sauna was colder than i expected, and the hottub was very hot indeed, expensive valet parking, 1/3 priced places was available just in front of the hotel, bathrooms needs to be adjusted, they still use common shampoo, conditioner and hand soap dispensers, kind of ugly […] thing for a hotel at that price level, but the services was elegant the location is some 100mts uphill, nice climb after a heavy meal at murphys, i recommend this hotel to young and old couples, not so much suitable for difficult to entertain kids Read more

the hotel was lovely, first-class, from the comfortable beds to the swimming pool. the service was extra-friendly. within the hotel is a restaurant, Gio's, which is not to be missed. the only "less than perfect" rating was for the surrounding neighborhgood, which is bland. but it's only a few short blocks to the waterfront.

We were very unimpressed that our room did not have cable, and the light fixture in the bathroom seemed to be falling out of the ceiling. We called down several times throughout the evening, and were told every time that the cable should be fixed within an hour but never was, even the following morning the cable was still not working. The bed - no joke - was the most comfortable bed I had ever slept on in a hotel. For the three nights I was there, it was bliss. Everything in town is walking distance from the Prince George, so you walk everywhere: the waterfront, dozens of restaurants, quaint shops as well as a mall, and many historical sites. Once again the Prince George surpassed our expectations in service and amenities. The staff are professional and courteous and the hotel is immaculate. The beds are comfortable, clean and well appointed, lots of towels and no shortage of toiletries. We really enjoyed our stay at The Prince George. Friendly, helpful staff, Beautiful rooms, great location, good breakfast, good pool and hot tub and loved the second floor gardens. Only two things which detracted from the enjoyment of our stay: 1. The sauna was not working and although this was probably a temporary situation, one of the reasons I […] booked at the Prince George was because it advertised a sauna and it's something I really enjoy. 2. The hotel is near a very popular dance club in Halifax and I could hear the drums from the sound system in our room. Staff was very welcoming. Very friendly and professional...right down from the front desk staff to the cleaning people. The manager was accessible...and it was obvious their main goal is that you have the best possible experience in their establishment. Can't say enough good things about our stay.
