"Great NYC Location"
Our stay was, overall, very satisfying. The staff were friendly and helpful with every request. The only problem we experienced was the very small bathroom. My sister was 7 months pregnant at the time of our visit and was challenged by the lack of space, particularly in the bath tub.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to many things but not claustraphobic."
NYC hotels are difficult to rate because they all feel small and are mostly expensive. This one was moderately small (we had 4 people in the room) and was moderately priced. The location was great and the staff were attentive and helpful; the beds were comfy and I would recommend it to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
Really pleasant staff. Nicely appointed lobby; but small. The lobby seemed warm maybe because the front doors were always open and it was a small space. The room was small but nicely appointed also. The carpet did not have any padding I could feel the sub floor underneath and it creaked. It also made the carpet feel dirty and mealy. Otherwise a great […] stay. Good location. Close to Grand Central Station. Within walking distance to Times square and the MoMA and great shopping. I liked that because the neighborhood was nice had a lots of local better priced restaurants that the tourist areas. Most things were a $ 5.00 $10.00 cab ride away. "Good location, average hotel"
Dust left on iPod dock, everything's a little old. Tight small spaces. But great midtown location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but extremely small rooms"
Location excellent, very cramped room and bath, very tough for guests in room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent location. Queen room was small but adequate. Bed was too soft for us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"My hotel home in the city"
The only negative is that the elevator was broke the night of 4 of July so I had to wait a long time to get back up to my room (with only 1 working elevator for the whole hotel). Conceirge was amazing & super helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"70 Park Avenue Welcome"
We have stayed there three times and have had an excellent visit each time. We are especially impressed with the reception desk staff. They could not give their guests a warmer, more sincere welcome. They really make you feel truly welcome.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Hotel Overall - Distant from tourist areas"
In general, it is a great hotel. Great services, rooms are clean and very comfortable. Hotel is located a bit far from most tourist attractions, in a very quite area on Park Ave. (2-3 blocks away from Grand Central Station).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice eclectic hotel"
The stay was very enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable. The furniture and feel of the room was unique. Good location, walking distance to Bryant Park and Times Square.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel, great location"
Had a great 3 day stay at 70 Park Avenue, a mid-priced Kimpton hotel. The staff was very accomodating, and the concierge was helpful. The queen size room was small but well appointed. There is a hosted wine party in the lobby each afternoon, and a Starbucks with a great view of Park Avenue nearby for morning coffee. The hotel had scaffolding up for […] a facade inspection, but there was no disturbance while I was visiting. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Needs an update"
Just OK, one elevator a drag, public areas looking a bit worn. Much better a few years ago, not so much now.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place, quiet neighborhood, nice staff. An awesome value for NYC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Kevin, the concierge, was most helpful! The wine reception was a huge plus. Our only complaint was that the main elevator wasn't working for a couple days which made it difficult to get up to the 11th floor.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfort and Location"
We were in town for a long weekend and found the location a convenient hub from which we could walk to most all of our midtown destinations (we like to walk). The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and a nice size for NYC. We will plan to stay at the 70 Park Avenue Hotel again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Less Than What I Expected"
Loved the location near the Grand Central Station on Park Ave, but the rooms are very small for the money and the condition of the property is underwhelming. Only had one elevator working during our stay which had to serve 18 floors and a couple of hundred rooms. We stayed for 3 days and never saw anyone working on the elevator repair.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good central location"
The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was a little tight. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee/tea every morning and also the happy hour every night. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The umbrellas provided were put to good use a couple of times during our stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lost its charm"
Our first stay at 70 Park was in 2009. We booked directly through the hotel for 2 adjoining rooms. Even if we only stayed 2 nights, we were greatly impressed. Everything was perfect. We come to NY quite often and like to try different hotels. Flash forward 3 June 2013, we went directly to the hotels website to book one night, nothing available. We went […] to Hotels.com and were able to book a room for one night and paid the extra cost for a third person. This time, we were sadly disappointed. Not too sure if it was because we booked through a discounted site, but what we paid for one night was not exactly a bargain for what we got. We were put in a back dark room, the size of the tub was not even standard, the commode seat was old and worn (it looked dingy), the paint on the ceiling was cracked and peeling, the bath towels were not 4star standard, quite thread bare and the free standing toilet paper holder was ready to come apart. The overall cleanliness of the room was OK. Only one tiny detail was overlooked, the chambermaid probably vacuumed the carpet in a rush because upon close inspection, we found a tiny metallic confetti in the shape of a man's private anatomy! We are sad to say that the Kimpton has let us down! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location was good as it is only a few blocks walk to Grand Central Station/Subway. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was nice but bed could use updating...it's springs were broke down and sagged towards the middle.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Hotel a few blocks away from Grand Central"
Nice hotel. Rooms are as pictured, a little tight but nicely appointed, comfortable and clean. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Well staffed and fun, but probably a 3 star hotel"
Great staff and service. The hotel room itself felt grungy and certainly was on the small side. We enjoyed the service and staff a lot, but would probably look for a nicer place to stay and sleep next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was nice except the bathroom was very tight, narrow, and the water pressure was weak. The decor of the room was great and so was the staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
great location with easy access transportation and friendly staffGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Value and location for a NYC hotel!"
We had a wonderful time at 70 Park Ave. It is in a great central location in Murray Hill that is within walking distance of the Empire State building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral and only a few blocks from Grand Central. The hotel concierge was extremely helpful and we really enjoyed the wine reception.Genuine Expedia guest review
Clean and Nice hotel to stay, the location is perfect. We will back again.Genuine Expedia guest review
The room is nice and quite big but very to loud, maybe the windows should be replaced.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We love Kimpton owned hotels. They are friendly, affordable, artsy, and smart!Genuine Expedia guest review
Nicely situated on Park Avenue, the hotel features stylishly appointed but very small rooms. The continental breakfast is cursory and not worth seeking out, unless you get it for free.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Bathroom smelled like urine. Carpet Dingy. Loud!!!"
Bathroom smelled like urine. Carpet Dingy. Loud!!! You cant control the temperature. There is not "FREE" wifi. Rooms are so dark. Pillows and beds are uncomfortable. Rooms smelled stale and moldy. Staff is loud coming in and out rooms, opening doors and cabinets, and talking on the phone.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Grand Central"
Very friendly and helpful staff, only a few short blocks to Grand Central. Gym is nice, too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved the location close to Grand Central Station"
Loved the attention to detail: an umbrella from the concierge with bad weather, fresh flavored orange & lemon water always in the lobby, doorman to get cabs, etc, good concierge, comfortable bedsGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable with very good service"
This is a conveniently located, modern, clean hotel. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The rooms are small but comfortable. The bathrooms are nicely appointed. There is a small fitness center with treadmills, ellypticals, bikes and weight resistance equipment. The lobby is small but very warm and welcoming.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel is great - restaurant/bar not so much"
Title says it all. Don't waste your time at the attached restaurant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was 'tiny' and I'm not a big person but I found it a bit confining. Was pleased with amenities and service however .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It's a boutique hotel, the rooms are small but comfortable, food and drink prices are high, but it is NY city. The location is great in midtown, a good walk from times square and 5th Ave. Grand Central Station is a few blocks away.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"First time traveled in NYC"

"Outstanding hotel, great staff"
I love the hotel, the staff is extremely professional and very polite. Great location.. 3 blocks away from Grand Central station and perfect if you need to take shuttle service to the airport (both Newark and La Guardia). I will definitely stay again in this hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for NYC"
I have stayed in Manhattan before and this was a very roomy and comfortable space...great location near Grand Central, Times Square, yet a a quiet residential street...I'd definitely stay here again!Genuine Expedia guest review

"So good to be back in NYC"
I am a frequent traveler and try to stay at Kimpton Hotels whenever possible. 70 Park Avenue Hotel did not disappoint. I found the staff to be helpful and most pleasant, and my room was very comfortable and clean. The view of a brick wall out my window might have been unpleasant for some, but I wasn't in my room during the day, and it allowed for a […] very quiet's night sleep. My only constructive criticism would be the breakfast buffet. It was limited and not all that appealing for $20+. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay and I would return and recommend this hotel without hesitation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is in a convenient location to get anywhere in midtown and close to subway entrances making it easy to get just about anywhere in manhattan without being in the center of tourist traps like times square. I found the room to be large enough for me and could have easily fit another person. Only complaints were that the windows let in a lot of […] cold air, the bed wasn't extremely comfortable and for a hotel that was fairly recently updated parts of the room like the bathroom and shower seemed a bit run down. "Great room, get a higher floor"
Great room, except i think i might have been given an Expedia room given the rate. It was a nice corner room but it was only on the 3rd floor above Park Ave and 38th St. It was loud. Only bad thing I can say about the stay. Would request a higher room next time.Genuine Expedia guest review
We truly enjoyed are stay. Having a lobby bar was great for unwinding at the end of the day and the location was very convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Friendly staff. Modern furnishings.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel on a special day"
Great location, clean hotel and comfortable room. The staff at this hotel made my daughter's Birthday a very special day for her. I wanted to celebrate my daughter's BD by taking her to NY, and at check in, I informed front desk that it was her BD. The next day, they sent in a nice sparkling bottle of water with strawberries dipped in chocolate, and […] very nice BD card to her; she was thrilled and felt very special. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they put a $200.00 hold on my card for "incidental" I stayed for 2 nights, imagine if I didn't have that kind of funds in my account.... "Staff is great, room is small"
I prefer boutique hotels but this one was just too small for my party of 4. Wish I had known that before booking and paying extra for the 2 additional people. Also: no coffee maker in the room which I find ridiculous at this price point.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
