Great service. The hotel staff was very friendly and made sure everything was okay. The beds were really comfortable. It is conveniently down the street from a gas station and a Jack in the Box and easy to get off the five. The only bad thing is that the wi-fi signal was really weak so the only place I got a strong signal was in the lobby.

Reviewed by Patricia of Montebello on Jul 7, 2009
My family doesnt smoke. We've stayed in Vegas rooms where people have smoked in the past. We thought we were ok with a slight smell. This has never been such an issue in the past. The room wreaked (understatement). The smell penetrated the carpet and my eyes swelled up in tears the minute we walked in and dropped our luggage. My daughter cried and my husband was pissed but tired. We checked in at midnight and there was no other rooms available. We were close to sleeping in the car. Instead we slept with the windows open and sucked it up. Came home 2 days later (stayed elsewhere of course)and all of our luggage still stunk. I don't understand how a room could smell so MUCHHH like a filty ashtray. Much more than a Vegas Casino. Had the smell not been there, the room itself, bed sheets and restroom were very clean and the breakfast was a good continental for the price. There was a fridge and a microwave in our room and a teeny tiny pool in the quad. The neighborhood felt safe and there was a couple of cameras on the roof outside. But the damage was done. We were drunk from the smell. We went to seaworld and this hotel is in downtown. Not too far. 15 minute drive. If we come back to this hotel, which I highly highly doubt (traumitized for life I tell ya), I would make sure to get a non smoking room....period.

The hotel itself wasnt that bad. There was no elevator so traveling with small children you have to climb stairs to get to the second floor of rooms. The rooms were nice enough and clean. But the hotel was in a sketchy neighborhood. We were a little apprehensive about staying there because of the location. But it turned out to be not that bad. And it was very conveniently located to the interstate. All this being sad we would probably not stay there again.

The bed was soft and comfortable and the room was nice, but I would have liked to have a refrigerator. There was a problem with the shower, the water kept fluctuating temperature which was pretty annoying. Other than that, I liked having internet access and the room was a nice place to stay for a few days while touring San Diego. One great convenience is that there is a light rail right around the corner which will take you right to the border of Mexico, where you can just walk over the border which definately beats going through traffic.
