It was a good hotel at a good location. It was about $36-46 AUD from the airport via cab. Make sure to ask the driver to use the new tunnel. The hotel room smelled interesting when you enter but when you open the window it was okay. Staff were helpful and nice.

The hotel/apartments was not exactly what I expected. Room was spacious but furniture very worn. No cable for first two days and they didn't seem overly apologetic about it. Saving grace was that it was clean. Halls definitely had a live-in apartment feel, not a hotel feel. Nice 10-min. walk to CBD, but wouldn't stay there again.

We had a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment. It was quite comfortable for our family of 5 (they had a very nice twin size portable bed that fit into the same room as the other 2 twin beds). There was a nice flat screen TV, plenty of room, good view, nice little heated pool, good service. There's a Springhill Loop bus that takes you downtown that is about […] a block away to pick up and is free. We spent 4 nights in the Summit apartments, but would have gladly spent 4 weeks there. The room was comfortable with super soft pillows, large bed in a one roomed apartment that felt spacious. Having the washing machine and tumble dryer in the room was excellent. If you want a cheap lunch, turn left out of the front door and down Allenby Street. The Hotel was pretty good near to Brisbane CBD, walk for about 10mins. The Aircon in the room was pretty bad, there was only one aircon for two bedrooms and the living room. The TV and the iPod dock would not work properly they were some cheap brand ones which would not work. The bathroom is pretty old format. Not a 4 star rated hotel.

We chose this hotel for its location. Had we known how dirty it was we would never had stayed. The fluff ,in the exhaust vents, shower floors grimey and mildew, cups very stained, carpet felt really drity, had to leave shoes on all the time.

First room we were sent to had a leaking pipe in the bathroom and a dirty grimy kitchen. We complained and were moved to another smaller, yet more modern looking room. Room service was terrible, they made the bed with clothes underneath the sheets and it was very dusty - you could tell it doesn't get vacuumed very well. I would like to give a better rating for this apartment block but it is currently just starting to redecorate the foyer and I assume the rooms after. Great friendly staff, good location and a good size room and ammenenities but does need a fresher look. All in all I highly recommend to stay here. Gordo

Manager on duty went out of his way to help us check in after an all night train journey. Only complaint is that we had too little time in Brisbane. When we return we'll definitely stay here again.

I had a very comfortable stay. The same room as last year was allocated to me, which I find very convenient. The only problem I had was with the tap in the kitchenette, it seems to spray out at you when it is on.

Stayed 2 nights at Central Summit Apartments. Found the location excellent, easy walking distance to Queen Street Mall. Free onsite parking was a bonus and having a kitchenette as well was good. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We had a room on the 6th floor overlooking the pool and therefore were not bothered by any traffic noise […] at all. The main let down was the bathroom which was very outdated, but in saying that it was clean and served its purpose. We arrived 3 hours before check in (2pm) and were allowed to check in early as the room was ready. Found the staff very friendly. Would definitely stay there again. Read more

We found the staff very helpful and friendly on arrival. The rooms are a bit dated, but were very clean and comfortable. The hot spa was amazing and just what you needed after a long trip. The airconditioning was a bit too cold for our liking and you don't have any room controls so we had to turn it off at night. We stayed on the 6th floor, apartment facing South-West. So the city views were excellent, especially with a fantastic summer sunset from our spacious terrace! But one shouldn't rate a hotel by its views, we'd rather list the indoor positives: well organised kitchenette (one hot plate on the stove not that hot, but ok), all clean, aircon set throughout […] the hotel on a perfect temp (just some ceiling panels lift up due to the air flow pressure, but that doesn't detract from the pleasant atmosphere!) and above all comfy beds. Kids loved their own room and got quite excited. Even the sofa is full-body long, so I forgot to join my wife and comfortably fell asleep after some zapping. Digital TV size more than ok, but I discovered the iPod dock is not suitable for the old fashion radio, so ask your kids to chuck theirs into it to listen to some music! Last, but definitely not least: the bathroom. Its size is just fine and enjoyed the shower (could have been a bath though) while watching another part of the cityscape! Ah, amidst all the facilities (we did not have the time to enjoy them all), the swimming pool is a great finale of the day, especially the bubbly hot spa. Yes, it is actually as it looks in the webpage pics. If it wasn't for our toddler, the following day we could have gone places around the city without using the car. We found the apartment to be perfect for our planned stay in Brisbane, close to the city by-pass and esily accessible from the Captain Cook Bridge. Safe car park, everything we needed in the kitchen. Only one problem - the bed was not of the quality of the rest of the apartment - badly needs a new bed.

I found on arrival reception was smooth and efficient. The room catered to my needs exactly with a small balcony to view the area and catch the breeze. The location was ideal for access to the CBD with just that right amount of exercise I require. I will certainly be using this facility in future if their is availability.

Lovely 9th floor suite with a fantastic view over the city. Overall was very impressed with the room, the reception hours were a bit restrictive as I had an early morning checkout. Quiet area with a few places to eat and drink nearby. Would definitely stay again.

Like most of Brisbane, it is a very quiet neighbourhood and the hotel is locked up by 8.00pm. If we come in late, we need to enter through a gate with a passcode, nobody is around to man the counter. Feels very scary coming back in the night even though it is only around 9.00pm.

Great staff (especially Ruth) Located on a hill so it was not affected by the flood Short walk to CBD but there is a free bus that takes you there and back to save you from walking up hill.
