Hotel location has always been a plus for me, I am usually a late arrival and an early departure guest check in and check out is quick. The rooms I have stayed at recently have had new flooring, paint, heat/ac, and bedding.

This hotel was great! Friendly service, and great location. Great facility, with hallways the size of apartment hallways. The room was also one of the largest and nicest "Standard" rooms I've stayed at. Very happy with the stay, and if I'm ever back this way I won't even need to look for any other place... unless they're booked up!!!

Liveable, wish I was told about the extra charge for pets, I will check somewhere else our next visit to Spearfish, to see our grand kid thats going to school there.

Everything about this hotel was better than satisfactory. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was fine- there was coffee round the clock and they have laundry facilities for guests for 1.50 total! We would recommend this hotel!

Hotel was old and definitely needs some updating. Rooms were large but dingy and the recliners were a nice addition but they didn't look clean. Probably would not be my first choice again.

I was nicely impressed with this hotel. It is very comfortable and clean. The person at the desk even offered to fix a fresh pot of coffee in the evening when I went to get a cup. First - I was ripped off - I SPECIFICALLY booked at a slightly higher rate for a King-Size bed, what I got was a double! Second, the front desk person was more focused on answering the phone calls than attending to me standing in front of her the whole time. After what myself (45 yrs) and my step mother (67 yrs) thought was a very nice stay, we came home to discover this place is a farce! We realized we had been charged $55 for soiled bed linens and extra guests in the room. None of which was true! They accuse us of having extra guests staying in our room, when we only had my daughter and her boy friend […] visit us for no more than 10 minutes, three different times in a 5 night stay. They accused us of letting our guests eat in the breakfast room, when the truth is, my daughter went in the breakfast room after breakfast hours and got her grandmother a glass of ice water, while we sat outside. They said that on two occassions someone had vomitted on the linens and on the carpet in the room, which is crazy! They said our room was a disaster when they came in to clean. That also is an out and out lie. Yes we had cosmetics on the counter and papers and magazines on the desk and tables and food in the fridge but remember we were staying there 5 nights. There was nothing left on the floor at any time and they came in to clean our room twice while we were still in the room. They said they had to spend extra time cleaning our room, what a joke! I've traveled for many years with large groups of children and I can guarantee you our room was not half as bad as those rooms are when we leave! They made us sound like a bunch of partying grandmas, lol! Couldn't be more the opposite! Be prepared for false charges! Read more

We traveled 14 hrs to see our nephew graduate. The hotel was close to the University. The room was clean, comfortable and mostly quite. We did have someone above us that seem to have "heavy feet." The only thing that bother us was noise of the air condition in our room. Other wise the motel was great.
