Totally what we expected and much more. We wish we had the time to stay and enjoy all the facilities. For us it was convenience before a flight. The pool looked good and the workout equipment was up to date. The breakfast is at 5:30 to 9:30, so early birds can eat and drink before their flight.They provide a good bed, nice towels and linens and comfy pillows It is very convenient for the airport, with the shuttle they provide. It is just a little harder to see from the road than many other hotels in the same area. There is a landmark that is the 28 flavors ice cream place (hotel) that it is just past. Knowing that makes it easy to find.

We travel to detroit to fly. The hotel is close to airport. Clean. Bottom floor room. No noises. Did not hear any air traffic. Wish they had early breakfast, but is not a deal breaker. We will continue to stay when we fly in or out of Detroit.

Much nicer hotel then I expected. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was well stocked. Overall very impressed. Only thing was Google maps takes you to a completely different hotel on a different road, so be careful if driving here.

Especially liked the walk in shower with bars since we had a handicaped person. Also appreciated being on the first floor with handy access to outside. Good coffee in morning too!

This hotel was very nice along with the staff. I stayed at the holiday Inn in allen park and this hotel totally dominated it. Don't stay there or you will regret it for sure. This hotel la Quinta was top notch and a fantastic value. Plus bob Evans is right around the corner.

I just spend one night over there, and it was ok. Its shuttle (free) transportation is so helpful and convenience i just took me 6 mins to arrive to the airport, the drivers are kind as well. You can hear the airplanes landing or taking off, but after 11 pm you don't hear any cause they stop activities (at the airport). I had to left the hotel at 5 am so I couldn't taste the breakfast. Maybe at the frontdesk they need to smile a little more, however they are helpful if you ask something to them.

I Stayed 1 night to take in a Sunday Tiger's baseball game and a Monday (work) training. The hotel is about 20 minutes from Comerica Park & Ford Field, and only 5 minutes from the DTW Airport. Shuttle to the Airport runs every 30 minutes and wifi was good. Ordered takout from a local restaurant and it was delivered to the room with no problems. :)

Could have put more toiletries in the bathroom. There was only one shampoo and one soap. Really?! Could have some conditioner and lotion. Also the tea bag on the coffee service in room had dried spilled coffee on it!

This location used to be the Hampton Inn. Nicely remodeled, updated, and clean. Personality of the check in clerk was alittle brisk but she was efficient.

Staff was friendly and prompt. Room was clean and comfortable. Every day the breakfast was fresh and neatly organized with a great variety and cleanly presented. The outside of the hotel doesn't match the inside at all. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into the hotel. Outside it looks like it could use a little touching up, but the inside was very nice. The decor is very friendly and inviting and the staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. I had no idea it was a pet friendly hotel, until I saw a woman with her dogs. You would never know it was pet friendly, by the cleanliness of the place. Overall a great stay and I would stay there again.

The room was great. Flynn Road is a little hard to find if you're not familiar with the area. The street sign is not very visible. Even though it's by the airport you don't hear the planes. It was great.

Needed a place to stay during the Detroit flood Aug 11 2014 because the roads were flooded and I couldn't drive home after arriving at the Detroit Metro Airport. Despite the extreme flooding circumstances on the surrounding roads, the hotel staff and shuttle driver was extremely courteous.

My only complaint with the hotel is that my wake up call never came. Otherwise, the staff was courteous, and the airport shuttle ran on time (and is only a five to 10 minute trip to/from the airport). The hotel is modern and clean, and my room was very comfortable with the right mix of amenities, including free Wi-Fi. The surrounding area is lacking for restaurants and things to do, but there is a perfectly good restaurant in the hotel. For a layover at DTW, I would highly recommend it.

I thought the hotel was clean and very well decorated. The only complaint we had was we could not turn the air off in our room. I ended up unplugging it from the wall! The breakfast was okay, I am glad we didn't pay for it. Service was great. Good location and the price was reasonable. Will stay again

1. FIX YOUR TREAD MILLS; PLEASE FIX THE TV STATIONS; ONLY 2 now working. I told you 3 times over 9 months that it was broken. Your clerk should not be sleeping in that little room. Make sure your room is clean before you check into it. Shuttle service that is reliable is important

Our first room was no quite acceptable, but the hotel staff quickly placed us in another room and was 100% satisfied. The staff recommended us to visit the Henry Ford Museum which was a Great place to visit! Thanks

Over the past several months and staying here multiple times I have asked the staff to FIX the treadmill stations; There are only 2 TV stations that work when you work out. Needless to say 9 months later they still don't work. So I ran on the treadmill for 40 minutes watching Barney and thinking about writing this review

We appreciated the comfortable beds and convenient shuttle service. Advice...make sure you are 5-10 minutes early for shuttle pick-up. We were 3 minutes early according to the I-phone/Verizon and it was gone. However, the desk clerk called the driver and he was back in 10 minutes. Being close to the airport paid off. Thank you to the desk clerk for listening to weary travelers. We'll be early next time.

Beautiful hotel room and very comfortable. We had an issue with the TV not turning on, but called the front desk and it was taken care of by front desk person as no maintenance people on duty that late in the day. All the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Very convenient when using Detroit Metro Airport. Thought they would offer a few more amenities for their breakfast. We would definitely stay here again!

After a long drive from northern Michigan I arrived at the hotel at 10 pm. I was greeted by the most pleasant young lady she took great care of me from the second I walked in the door making sure all my needs were met. My room was so clean, even luxurious. I felt pampered. I was able to enjoy a hot shower and climb into a fabulous bed for a quite sleep. I will certainly stay here again.

This facility was recently redone but not in the typical fashion. Commonly "redone" means painted, again, often over damage or dirt - not in this case. The hotel smells new, and the decorating is modern and pleasing. In so many ways this was a good hotel. In one way it was not. We reserved our room for 5 through Expedia and received a printed confirmation that clearly stated a room for 5. When we arrived on July 4th, the clerk informed us the room has just two queen beds. She could think of nothing to offer me except to try another hotel....on July 4th. While LaQuinta claims a goal to "delight our guests with an experience that makes them feel: assured, settled in, optimistic" this clerk did not get the memo. The reason one person should sleep standing? We booked through a "third party", i.e. Expedia messed up. I was less concerned about blame and more concerned that I would be the one sleeping vertically. Not good to ignore our needs; not good to blame Expedia.
