Deadbolt did not lock. Burn holes in blankets. Trash on bathroom floor. Months of dirt in creases of curtains. I hated to close the curtain and stir the dust up into the room. Dust cobwebs hanging from ceiling. Low heat button broke off into heater. Just a nightmare for the overly high price we paid!

The hotel is pretty rundown, heating unit is out of date so you have to constantly turn it off/on to not sweat to death.

We were quite impressed with this hotel. The rooms were large and roomy with a sitting area. A wonderful, hot breakfast buffet started off our day, including eggs, pancakes, sausage gravy & biscuits, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful, going out of their way several times to accommodate us.

Upon arrival, we discovered there were no bath towels in our room. We called the front desk and the woman (who was very nice) said she would bring some to us. She brought us towels....wet towels. She said all the towels in the entire hotel were dirty so she took these two towels out of the dryer. They were still very damp. Never again!!

The hotel was completely out of date! The location wasn't pretty or convenient. The room had an old tv with non working remote, crunchy mattresses and very small bathroom area. Overall the service was good. They forgot to clean my room one day. When I checked out they informed me that they had forgotten to clean my room but could not contact me. They could have left a message on the phone or a written message in my room. I enjoyed the breakfast every day but would have liked some variety. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

The first room we were put in had a dead spider in the bathtub and their was a spot - like dried blood on one of the pillow cases. The door to get in the room was hard to open. The second room was a bit cleaner but the tub was dirty. Maid service came in on Saturday but did not vacuum as evidenced by the crumbs we spilled on the floor. The map of the […] hotel indicated there were soda and food vending machines on 3 of the 4 floors, we did not look at the 1st floor but floors 3 and 4 only had ice dispensers and the 2nd floor had soda but no food (we stayed on the 2nd floor). The ice dispenser were so slow it took 2 minutes to fill the ice bucket. During one of my trips to get ice a guest on the 3rd floor was using the one on the 2nd floor because the 3rd floor didn't work. There is definitely some interior/exterior work that could be done as the 1st room had water damage inside on the ceiling and the lamp hanging above the table showed water damage as well. The air conditioner unit in our room was great it got so cold I almost had to turn the heat on and it was noisy. The mattresses are too soft almost like they are almost worn out. The hotel is in a good location right off of the bridge from Missouri and close enough to main thoroughfares it doesn't take long to get anywhere. The free hot breakfast wasn't the best. Read more

The lamps next to the bed didn't work (yes, they were plugged in). The light in the bathroom area worked the first night, but not the next morning. This hotel should be shut down. I came here once before with a soccer team and we were repulsed at the condition of the hotel. Room door had to be dragged across the carpet to get closed all the way. There was snow and ice and the parking lot was not even touched. I could barely get my car up their hill. Then I was hanging on my car to guide myself to my room because the ground was covered in solid ice. No one even bothered throwing salt down or anything. There are three hotels right by this one that are a lot better. So check those out and avoid this one altogether. Both the exterior door & bathroom door were basically non-functioning (I could not get out of the bathroom from the inside without someone jerking the door open from the outside). Area needs a few years and a couple more million dollars. I can see potential in the area, but it is still seedy and dirty. The area has so much potential and if you don't mind stains on your washcloths and the shady occupants of the extended stay "motel" with the hotel you should have no problems.

Terrible hotel poorly misrepresented. The outside of the hotel was extremely run down. The Days Inn emblem was off of the building and there were several Extended Stay brochures. We were unsure if we were staying at a Days Inn or an Extended Stay. The room showed a lot of wear and was very outdated. The furniture was stained and the room smelled musty. […] The smell of mold and mildew lingered and I had a pretty bad asthma attack. I asked to be switched to a different room due to my asthma. We had a very long drive from Cedar Rapids, IA to Quincy, IL. I wanted to shower and go to bed when we got to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, I wasn't impressed at all. When we pulled around the building to walk get to the actual room, there were multiple people outside smoking, with music blaring while smoking different substances. Being a teacher, […] I knew one of those scents was marijuana... Extremely angry at this point we walked up to the second floor and went into our room. The lighting was dim and it smelled funny. I decided to take a shower. The water was not hot and it smelled slightly like urine, not to mention the fact that the shower head was meant for a 5 foot tall person just like the drop ceiling. I'm only 5'9'' and I felt like I was going to hit my head. When I got out the shower, there was a spider the size of a quarter just sitting in the sink. I refused to stay there a second night and immediately booked a different hotel. After a long day of basketball, we went back to the hotel to pick up our luggage and take it to the new hotel. I had forgotten my sandals there and had to return later that evening to find a vehicle hanging out of one of the windows on the first floor. Supposedly it was an accident, but I got my stuff and left. I've never had a worse experience at a hotel...ever!!! Read more
