"My room was TINY!"
The staff was great, but my room was tiny. There was only a few feet to the wall on each side of the bed, and about five feet to the wall at the foot, which included a desk and chair. I was astonished to get such a small room for the price I paid.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great room and relaxing place"
I've stayed at The Alexis several times in the past few years - they have great suites with tons of room. Looked a few other highly rated botique downtown hotels but the room size sold me - good for two kids to run and play as well as relax between sight seeing and catching up with friends in the area. Hotel is pet friendly too - but if you don't have […] pets...no worries they are people and family friendly as well! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel, Great service, but loud outside noise."
We stayed at the Alexis hotel, and the room was fine, the service actually was great, the location is great, but there was one main problem... our windows were above a back alley, and every weekday night at 3:30am and 6:30am, we were woken up by loud garbage trucks emptying large metal containers from the nearby shops and restaurants, right below our […] windows, and the windows do not reflect the sound. That part sucked. Everything else was good. They have a cool bar too. Also, the parking is $40/day plus sales tax, plus a $5 parking tax. So plan for $50 per day, for parking at the hotel. "Great location and room."
Room was delightful and spacious with a private terrace for us to enjoy. Problems we had were TV not working, guest noise, elevator malfunctions, and $40 parking fee. Breakfast was average but coffee was great. The location was perfect for us to take advantage of everything Seattle has to offer. We would stay here again even though our first stay wasn't […] ideal. "Good walk to everything we were looking for."
We all had a wonderful time. The Seattle scene is great and the museums were spectacular. The food around Pikes Market was a little spendy, but super.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great comfort, convenience & service"
Close to Pike Place market, the waterfront and Pioneer square and all the other places of interest in Seattle, the Alexis also is really comfortable and a great boutique hotel. You feel as if you are very welcome and not just a number. We had a superior suite for a 5 day stay that felt like home. And we loved the free bikes we used to ride all over […] the city. Fine service from the concierge and everyone. Highly recommended. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Everything was pretty great, only complaint would be how noisy it was outside, if you're a lite sleeper, I wouldn't recommend staying at this Hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Sophisticated and Chic Boutique Hotel"
Well-appointed, immaculate rooms with comfortable beds. Library Bistro has good breakfast, as does Boca across the street. Cozy library bar for a nightcap. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Fast service (except an off morning at the Bistro) and elevators. Well-located to walk to Pike Place waterfront and Pioneer Square. Would choose the Alexis again […] - so Seattle. "central location ,dog-friendly"
One very significant aspect of this hotel: the great staff!! Other things of note: bed & linens were of high quality. The shower-head was a "rainfall" type (it worked great) w/glass door in a fully tiled shower space. This was nicely done & the rest of the bathroom measured-up as well. The refrigerator was overfilled w/pay-per-use items, so there was […] little room for personal items. The TV was easily viewed from the bed. This was a 3rd floor room, located in the SW corner: no real view of anything. The complimentary wine i assume was good (i don't do wine) & the complimentary coffee was Starbucks (but then i don't do coffee either). Dogs were allowed & although i don't do dogs either, this wasn't an issue, as they were all well controlled & there were no issues of smell (other than in the elevator. The hotel had (2) complimentary cruiser bicycles available, which were a nice option for getting around town (unless you chose to go directly up the STEEPER streets). Overall, I would not consider this a good value to me, as the cost was fairly significant for a hotel in which many of the features held no interest to me, but for those with dogs who drink wine & coffee and live a higher maintenance lifestyle, this would be a great facility. On that note, the staff did a superb job of being available & attentive: they went out of their way to ensure that all my needs were met. Valet parking is available, however I used Central Public Parking for only $18, saving $60. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Luxurious retreat for a couple"
Wow - what a hotel! We were blown away by everything in this hotel and mainly the small touches which made such a difference. I'm so surprised the rating of this hotel is so low. My husband and I had a fantastic time here. From the beautifully designed room (which felt more like a luxurious living room as opposed to a hotel room), to the leather-walled […] bathroom, to the wine hour and the complimentary vintage cruiser bikes, this place was everything my husband and I were looking for. The location is just excellent - we walked everywhere and also borrowed the bikes one day, boarded the ferry to Bainbridge Island and did some wine tasting! The wine hour in the hotel was fantastic - what a great way to meet other hotel guests. We loved the Bookstore bar - great food (try the homemade chips!) and just great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and they seemed very genuine about their friendliness! It's just a few block from Pike's Market and a short distance from Ivar's on the waterfront (try their clam chowder - it's amazing!). The one slight disappointment was breakfast at the Library Bistro. My meal was superb (the croque madame), but unfortunately my husband's blueberry pancakes were uncooked. After sending them back, they still weren't good - think it was the batter BUT our waiter was so attentive, he removed it from the bill without us even asking! Just a fantastic experience overall. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Seattle!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Didn't live up to the hype"
We splurged and stayed here for a romantic night away from the kids based on a glowing recommendation but didn't feel it lived up to the hype. The room was clean and nice, but there was nothing special about this hotel that warranted the extra cost. We would have had just as good of a time at a different downtown hotel and spent less money.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Time at the Alexis Hotel"
Everyone at the hotel was extremely nice, from cleaning our room to printing out boarding passes, and giving information on tours. My daughter enjoyed the chocolates left at night after turning down our beds. However, the exercise room could use some additional machines. We were very pleased with the large room containing double, queen beds. One did […] not feel closed in at all. We enjoyed the decore and pleasing atmosphere of the historic building. We liked the location; We could walk to Pike Place Market, the waterfront with many stores and boat tours, the Aquarium, Art Museum, Pioneer Square, Underground Seattle, the Brewery Tour, movie theater, restaurants and more. We would make reservations here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Awesome experience for couples on vacation"
Within minutes of arriving, we had numerous great suggestions and wonderful treatment while surrounded by the right atmosphere. "Nice, but not so nice!"
Room was way in the back of the hotel, like alley view. The bathroom sink was filthy. Where's the ice on each floor, or vending machines? Advertizes newspaper each morning, nada! Everything in the area closed at 8:00 or 8:30. Walked down to Starbucks, closed. Next door to starbucks was a sub shop, closed. Hotel lounge closed at 10:00. "definite repeat"
All staff were very attentive and pleasant. We loved the sauna to ourselves with appt. The wine tasting and the Starbuck's coffee in the am were a nice perk. Pillows wonderful and bed felt just perfect. Decor was superb. I like that the fitness center was open 24 hours to meet the guest schedule. Valet a helpful and cost effective way to get in and […] out the door without any worries. And, the location could not have been better to explore and walk Seattle. There was even a magnification mirror in the bathroom for makeup. They thought of absolutely everything. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Location and Staff"
The room, stated to be an upgrade due to the duration of our stay, was somewhat cramped. The furniture obstructed full access to the bathroom and the TV reception was grainy. We wondered why we would pay $4.00 for a bottle of water from the refrigerator when it was free at the front desk. This said, the staff was great and welcoming and quickly responsive […] to our needs and always asked if directions were needed when we departed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I'd go again!"
We had a very nice 2 night stay. The hotel was clean and very attractive. The bed was comfortable. The room was nice and well stocked with amenities (although very high priced) and the bathroom was great. "Great Location"
Great Stay. Located close to the Light Rail (which runs to and from the SEATAC), coffee shops, restaraunts and the Market. Will stay there next time I'm in town. Try to avoid the Belltown area (north of Pike Place Market) and Pioneer Square at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Alexis Seattle"
The room is so lovely, spacious, terrific art work, very comfortable beds and furniture. Unfortunately, very noisey - the street noise permeates the room. All the buses and trucks sound like they are in the room with reverberation. Counter space in the bathroom would be a plus as there is none of it. Not for light sleepers. We were on the 2nd floor. Over […] NYE, we were across from a noisey suite- the Asian Art something or other associated with SAM. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place to stay"
This is a great hotel. Stayed here for 4 nights. It's centralized to many restaurants and only 4-5 blocks from the market. The staff was very friendly and everytime we needed ice they would bring it up. The Bartenders at the library bar were super cool and poured really good drinks. Had breakfast in bed one morning and nothing was forgotten when room […] service dropped it off. Also every day we got back from our excursions the room was tidy and new towels were in place. The room is very clean and beds are really comfortable. We will be back for sure on the next visit.... Oh yah and the place is pet friendly. The only downside is that it's a tad pricey, but so worth it in the end. We got a better deal off Expedia. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"The little things..."
First off, I love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone, but I hope someone from the staff reads this for the following reasons: 1) The animal print robes are like wearing cardboard. They are super uncomfortable and crusty. 2) The pillows were terrible! They were mismatching, meaning different size, style and shape. This was on one bed. One […] was large and had no give to it and the other you could ball up into the size of a softball. Other than these two complaints, which I think are valid for a hotel of this caliber, the hotel is fantastic. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
