"Location is Everything"

Enjoyed this hotel very much. The room was very large for a hotel in Paris. The furnishings were not particularly new but functional. The AC worked well and the room was quiet. Very close to the Eiffel Tower, numerous restaurants, bars, a grocery store, and a Metro Station. All within a 10 - 15 min walk. There was even a world class Restuarant - Bistro Aux. I felt this was a good value, have Recommended this hotel to several people who enjoyed it as well.
"Value for money"

We have stayed at the La Bourdonnais hotel three times (last was on August 2012). Everything has always been perfect, from our reservations to the requested room. The staff is quite friendly and helpful, interacting with us in English ,since our French was still too poor. We have stayed both in the triple and the quadruple rooms; and they were spacious enough for european standards. The front room in high floor allowed us great views and pictures with the Eiffel tower in the background. The room fees are expensive; but the location make up to it. Walking distance from the Eiffel tower, close to the metro stop, Eccole militaire, a nearby supermarket (Franprix) and various diferente bistrôs around. Going down the street on a 5-7 minute walk you will find yourself on the Siene River. Breakfast is Continental, but all itens were fresh. We planned to stay there this last March 2014, but they were undergoing a major remodeling of the Hotel, which is scheduled to reopen in May 2014, so we ended up staying at the TimHotel Louvre Palais-Royale, which I have also reviewed.
"Not for value"

Location was amazing it was a few minutes away from the Eiffel tower and the rooms where large it had free Wi-Fi and iit didn't have children's activities. The room looked like it was battered and it had too expensive food and drink. Overall it was good apart from the expense
"Lovely place to stay, minutes away from Eiffel."
03/10/14 Laviana T Perth, Australia
Situated just few minutes walk from Eiffel, this is a lovely place to stay if you only here for a couple of days. You won’t get good view of the tower tho, if you are lucky enough to get allocated to the rooms facing the road, the tip of the tower is all that you can see (and from the room I stayed at, I had to really poke my head out and look right). If possible try to ask for other room f you are given the corner room eventho there is a balcony.. Not much view to see. Buffet breakfast was OK, staffs were friendly and helpful. Few minutes walk to train station, and conveniently located next to a convenience store, what more can you ask for. One let down is that the hotel’s Wifi are tad slow (as at May 2013). We had to go and use one of the desktop computer downstairs at the lobby and even then it was still slow. Heard that renovations has been down which is wonderful! Would definitely stay again next time we visit!

We have now stayed at this hotel several times. Enough cannot be said of the wonderful beds and beautiful bed linens. There is a small lift--most helpful. The rooms are quiet and well appointment. Although the rooms are not large, they are large by Paris standards! We once stayed in an apartment smaller than our room here! The multi-lingual staff is wonderful. They are as helpful as you need. Just around the corner is a delicious bakery, there are numerous restaurants if you don't want to go back on the Metro at night, and nothing replaces a late evening walk under the Eiffel Tower--2 blocks away. You can call and book directly with the hotel.
"Great location, small room"

Family of 4 in a very small room. Neat and clean. Staff were okay - some better than others. Wi-fi was only avail sometimes in the rooms but consistently in the lobby. Breakfast was expensive and limited- charged for everything - jams and peanut butter packets! A great location - walk to the tower, and easily access the tour buses. Great restaurants all close by. Would consider using it again, but would definitely get 2 rooms for 4 people.

Very nice and helpful staff. We were lucky and ended up with a high floor room, facing the eiffel tower which was amazing at night on our little balcony. it was a small room, but worked perfectly, and the bathroom was a decent size. i would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it! (we stayed in december 2012, but that time frame is not an option since it's been so long)
"The 7th arr. is the Place to Be"

Picking a place to stay in Paris is as much about picking the area as it is the hotel itself. Our strong preference is the 7th Arrondissement. It has more of an authentic Parisian neighborhood feel and less of a touristy big international city vibe. Our favorite place in the 7th wasn't available on our last stay due to late planning, so we opted for this property. It was an acceptable alternative. English was spoken at reception and questions were answered with ease. Room wasn't fancy, was a tad "tired", but certainly clean and adequate. The breakfast is generous and almost worth the money, definitely so if convenience is factored in. Free internet was spotty, best signal was in the lobby. It's about a 10 minute walk to the closest Metro stop, Ecole Militare. Rue Claire is walking distance and every restaurant that we ate at was walking distance and fabulous. We're still looking for a bad Paris meal. Don't think there is one. While there are other worthy alternatives in the neighborhood too, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if presented with the same circumstances.
"Hotel near the Eiffel Tower"

I first must say, that a few days after we checked out of the Hotel La Bourdonnais, they closed for major renovations that will take them from the 3 star hotel to a 4 star hotel. We loved the quiet location in close proximity to the Eiffel Tower, Rue Cher, and a metro stop. The bathroom was huge and did not appear to need renovating. Breakfast had many tasty French items that we really enjoyed. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. They were very friendly. The WiFi was rarely available in our room. We had to go down to the lobby area. One neighbor was always surfing the net on the stairs outside our door.
"My 1st trip to Paris---terrific place to stay!!"

After all these years, I finally got to Paris in May, 2013. We stayed at Hotel La Bourdonnais, and I was in love as soon as we entered the doors. Clean, friendly, convenient (the Eiffel Tower is a near-by neighbor!), and reasonable, each day was a delight in this fabulous city, because staying at this hotel was so nice! Loved the large salle de bain with its separate water closet, the comfy beds and AC, roomy closets. Breakfast was a tasty selection of pastries, cereals, juices, eggs and bacon, and coffee to die for. The staff (especially the very nice man with the glasses whom we saw often) was so helpful and we were careful to mind our Ps & Qs, and not be overbearingly "American". I was in tears when we left. If I am fortunate enough to make it back to The City of Lights, there is no doubt where I'll be checking in~~~~right here!
