Confortable room for a couple. The only thing I did not like was the shower door which was not properly set and some water use to come out and make a little mess whenever we took a bathGenuine Expedia guest review

Surprisingly decent. Smallish rooms but very updated bathrooms and they have AC ( a very rare thing in most parts of Europe). Free breakfast was nice as was the patio out back. The location can't be beat if you're only in Paris for a day or two.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to bus line and situated in a neighborhood."
It took us a while to find this hotel, it is situated on an street off of a main street. Once we did find the hotel, the staff was very helpful helping us figure out how to get to all the places we wanted to see. The bus ride we took most often was a 10 minute ride to the Arc de Triomphe. Because this hotel is situated in a neighborhood, there are bakeries, […] meat markets, grocery stores and cafes all over. We enjoyed experiencing the 'living in Paris' feel. There is no elevator for half of the hotel, the side we happened to be on so we ended up carrying our luggage up an S curved staircase. The shower was functional however, a snug fit. We were very glad for the air conditioning on the hot Paris days we experienced. We would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"100% satisification to what you paid"
This hotel is recently renovated so it's very clean and bright. Located in a prime location and 10 mins walk from metro. Friendly staff accepted early check-in and allowed us to keep luggage till evening on the checkout day. Very reasonable price given that it's in prime and good locality. Provided safety locker and bathrooms are very clean. I would […] definitely recommend. Cons: Rooms are bit small but perfectly fine for a couple. The hotel is close to the metro, good location, friendly staff. Tiny room but clean, just the carpet I suggest change it because looks dirty and you can hear everything from our room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient Hotel for a great city getaway"
The hotel was very welcoming on our arrival; fairly easy to find and near to metro station. Bed was a little uncomfortable and air condition could have worked properly but otherwise a pleasant stay. Make sure you are aware of breakfast fees before you go was a bit of a shock but otherwise a nice continental feast and superb staff on hand. Wireless was […] weak in the room but was free. Definitely would recommend the hotel as was convenient and best priced through expedia. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Overall Satisfactory for the price"
The location is good which is only about 5mins to the nearest Metro. Most tourist attractions can be walked from the hotel depending on one's endurance. Only thing that could be improved is the availability of hot water flask in the room and perhaps some instant coffee. Other than that, hotel is new and clean, and very good location.

We are italian and we made 3 night at this hotel, i can only say it has been all perfect and comfortable! The bed is the softer ever and our room was everyday cleaned by the service. The shower is big and you get all you need to do it. TV inside and friendly stuff. Its cheap and really close to the metro M2 and M3!

My husband & I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, and we were not disappointed!! It is a 7-10 minute walk from the metro through such a beautiful and quaint Parisian neighborhood-- walking to the metro station was always such a nice stroll; we could never complain! The hotel is located away from Central Paris, which of course made it much more manageable in terms of budgeting. By no means though did it show in the quality of their hotel & service! The front desk staff was always helpful and hospitable; in particular, there was a gentleman who said to call him Im that was always so helpful! Any questions about which metro to take or what place to go and eat, he had such helpful feedback-- always friendly and smiling, too! The hotel is clean! Clean showers/bathrooms/beds/sheets/linens/everything! The only thing I thought was weird but didn't really mind was that whether or not you put a Privacy tag on your door, the maids always came in every morning to clean, make the bed, and provide new towels and toiletries while you were out. In the end though, we didn't mind because it really just goes to show that they really value cleanliness. Who has ever complained about a hotel being too clean?

We stayed at the Glasgow Monceau for 5 nights (straddling a weekend) as a family of myself, my partner, my sister and 17 year old niece. We stayed in Rooms 35 and 36 (third floor) - over looking the internal courtyard, The hotel is situated within a beautiful part of Paris with good metro and bus links. There are plenty of interesting shops - including a selection of good Boulangeries and a few small supermarkets and the open market. If you are into walking and soaking it all in like us, you can walk to the centre of Paris no problems. There also metros nearby at Villiers and Malsherb. The No 53 bus stops near to the hotel. We found the hotel to be unacceptably noisy over the weekend - from within the hotel and external noises. The walls are extremely thin, the corridor separating opposing rooms approx 90 centimetres wide. Noises from the hotel accommodation opposite and from residential flats around the corner carried at night and persisted to the small hours. This detracted from the quality and enjoyment of our holiday as we were in the first part of our stay completely shattered. We also had to endure the very vocal amorous activities of a weekending couple to such a detail of sound that it was just plain gross. It made the ambience of the hotel feel a bit seedy. This calmed down come the Sunday night, thank God. In short the guy at the desk told us that it gets noisy on the weekends, can't guarantee a quieter room, we have the quietest room and suggested my niece and sister in the room next door were making the noise if I could hear it so clearly. Suffice to say, I was quite insulted. On the positive side the staff were generally pleasant although they kept their heads down and didn't interact much. when tested with a difficult customer issue however at least one member of staff failed badly. The breakfast was fine - standard continental, we're spoilt because you can get some mighty good croissants and pastries in the UK - however you can't beat a genuine fresh French baguette. The coffee was poor. The rooms are small, if you are larger person, forget it, you wouldn't get into the shower provided with our room(35). My partner and myself are both slight and found it a tight fit. Our room was just a little tired - carpet bit grubby and stained in places, slightly grubby brown cushions and bed throw , the cover over the dual toilet flush mechanism fell off several times, the placement of the loo roll was just beneath the basin so the loo roll was perpetually wet from water splashes- areas for management attention as I think the room attendant did a good job of making our bed and cleaning the bathroom etc. We didn't spend much time in our rooms as Paris is beautiful and much exploring to do, but it's nice when the details are considered. The bed was comfortable although my sister ( in room 36)found some nasties under her bed - an empty beer can a small paper bag full of cigarette butts. She had been complaining of smelling smoke when in bed at night - there's the reason. Not nice. Suffice to say she did the hotel a favour and chucked them in the bin. The hotel offers free wi-fi which is great. Not a terrible hotel, not a great hotel. The noise for us was the real issue. We understand that the hotel can't gag and curfew it's guests or control the noise from nearby residential flats. We appreciate the rooms are small and the walls thin and the rooms are cramped together due to the style of building. Having experienced this and despite the hotels beautifully sophisticated location, we would not consider staying again.

Beautiful little hotel - perfect for a real 'Parisian' experience. We paid extra & ate breakfast at the hotel every morning, it wasn't super cheap, but it was delicious! The rooms were tiny, but cute, well decorated and clean. The bathroom products smell delish. Staff are lovely. If you wander the streets nearby you will find great places to eat, have coffee or a drink, and not horrendously overpriced & touristy like places near say the Moulin Rouge for example. 10 min walk from Villiers metro station, or alternatively a scenic 40 - 45 min walk via the Arc de Triumph & Champs Elysee's to the Eiffel Tower, we did this once in the early evening and caught the sun going down through the Arc, then back again later at night which was equally beautiful.
"Great little hotel for a trip to Paris."

My girlfriend and I had a great 5 days in Paris staying at the Hotel Glasgow Monceau. Situated in the 17th arrondissement, it is about a ten minute walk from the Villiers metro station. It is close to the lovely Parc Monceau and has a number of cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel was very nice, and had obviously recently been renovated. The room was small, but more than adequate, and the en-suite shower room was lovely. The staff at the hotel were fantastic. Our luggage did not arrive and so everyday they called the airline and the airport for us, which allowed us to get on and enjoy our holiday. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone going to Paris.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and it was great. It was really close to the metro and had a beautiful park close by as well as wonderful pub right down the road. The service at the hotel was excellent and the breakfast great. The room is just what we need. Yes it was small but that's what I thought made it cute and cozy, and when you're in Paris, you're not going to spend a lot of time in the hotel anyway because you will be out. Our stay here was wonderful.

We travelled to Paris to spend time with family who live nearby. Usually for the price we paid at the Glasgow, other Parisian hotels would be rundown, dirty, and generally unpleasant. But the Glasgow was immaculately presented. Modern, clean and very friendly staff who speak good English. We traveled with a one year old and the travel cot was in perfect condition and comfortable for our son. The rooms are very small, but it is Paris: what do you expect? The location was perfect because it was close to our family, and in a very safe neighbourhood. Not right in the heart of the tourist area but public transport is very close and easy to manage. We will be back!
"July 2014 Stay"
We had a great stay at Hotel Glasgow a few weeks ago in Paris! We stayed 4 nights and the first day we got there, the concierge helped map out our metro trips and booked our shuttle back to the airport for us. Such great service! The room was cleaned every day and the AC worked great! The only issue we had was that our key wouldn't work most times, but the desk staff was more than willing to help each time it happened. I would definitely recommend anyone coming to Paris to stay here!

We stayed here for a 40th birthday weekend for 4 nights. Hotel was easy to find, 10 minute walk from metro station and there was also a bus that took you directly to the Arc de Triomphe. On arrival we were greeted by staff who spoke excellent English and gave us a map straight away which had the hotel marked clearly on it so we could find our way easily. Rooms were brightly decorated, very clean and a well stocked bathroom. Free wifi was also included which is a pleasant added bonus. There was also a safe, might not be bolted to the ground but it served its purpose. Rooms were a little small but this was not a secret! We were in Paris so we did not intend spending a lot of our time in the room, who cares what size the room is when you are asleep in a comfy clean bed!! We had booked with expedia so breakfast was not included but this was an extra €11 per day and it looked well worth it. Café across the street is another alternative which provided English tea. Also their streak frites are worth checking out!! Staff in the hotel could not have been more accommodating and provided us with everything we needed. There is no hotel bar but the staff directed us to a late night supermarket around the corner were we could buy everything we needed at a very low price and we enjoyed a couple of bottles of wine in the hotel patio area. For those people who complained about there only being a lift in one part of the hotel... this was good training for all the steps you would have to climb to see the many sites of the city!! If you are really against walking up stairs, just ask upon reservation for a room on the side that has a lift. Tea, coffee and water available in reception 24 hours a day which was a welcome relief at times. We believe that we got more than we paid for with Hotel Glasgow and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you again for a great stay, you really did make us feel very welcome in your city. Please give this place a chance, a very creditable 3 star hotel in a lovely residential area where you can experience proper Paris lifestyle before you hit the madness of the city centre
"Ideal for a short stay - great staff"
07/29/14 SarahJaneO83 Manchester, United Kingdom
We got a great deal at the Glasgow Monceau for a long weekend over the Tour de France. The location was conveniently located within walking distance of most things (Approx 20 mins walk to the Arc de Triumph) but far enough away that you can distance yourselves from the commercial tourism. The staff couldn't of been more helpful - infact I would say that they were the best part about our stay at the hotel. The hotel itself is small and the facilities are basic, but there are good restaurants & cafes nearby, the beds were comfortable and the rates were very reasonable ... overall we would definitely recommend the Glasgow Monceau and it's staff for a short stay in Paris.
