This is a really nice hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms were well maintained. The breakfast was very good. Great place to stay.

We booked a room here to avoid a 3 hour drive home at 1 in the morning after covering a wedding event but to our disappointment, the hotel room we were checked into did not have a clean bathroom: used towel laying on top of the sink and a used & broken toilet. We called the front desk to let them know of our findings and their suggestion was that we […] come back to the front desk for some fresh towels. ??? The stairway leading up to the 2nd floor room we were checked into also stunk of dirt and mildew. They had no other clean rooms available so we left and onto our 3 hour journey home at 1am. The property is recently remodeled, or at least is is so well-maintained that it looks that way. Very clean. I was very happy with the Days Inn on Haight in Poughkeepsie. My family and I spend three nights here; the room was very clean, the beds were clean and comfortable and the restroom was clean and functional. The apliances in the room worked well. The hotel is located near places of interest( stores,restaurants,gas stations, banks, famous universities, and the Hudson River. The staff were very helpful, courteious, […] kind and always had a smile to share. Breakfast was good and healthy, the milk they serve tasted as if it had just come out of the cow, they serve fresh delicious fruit, OJ, coffee,and self made waffles. My wife and son also enjoyed their stay at the Days in. The only down side was that their swimming pool is under construction, but next time I go visit my son who goes to school at the CIA I will Stay here again. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The single story section of rooms in the back with parking right outside your room was very convenient. The room was spotless with no odor of any sort. Undergoing major renovations. The room I stayed in had not yet been redone. It was very convenient and safe for walking the dog. Bathroom was very small but adequate. The superb staff was very helpful. Sheets and towels were clean and fresh.

I stayed just one night and was looking to save money without sacrificing basic amenities. The motel is very close to Vassar College and on one of the main streets in the older part of downtown, though it might look a bit rugged of a neighborhood at first impression, this was not the case. I walked to the nearby Greek Diner for a late sandwich (which […] was really good, by the way!) and did not find any reason to be cautious. The young man at the desk was very accomodating and polite and the morning free breakfast was a bonus. My only complaint was that the room was ice (outside temps were in low 30's) cold and took a few hours to get toasty since the combo heater/air conditioner was off when I arrived. You might want to call to ask if the heat could be turned on before you arrive on a cold day. The reason is to save energy....I had a wake to attend so I was not inconvenienced but could have been if I was to stay in the room. Read more

Staff was courteous, room clean and comfortable, breakfast basic but good enough. The Days Inn was in walking distance of everything we had to do. Some good restaurants in area, especially Baby Cakes.

Perfectly fine, except when we arrived, our bed had no bottom sheet! We complained at the front desk, and we were handed a clean sheet to put on ourselves. We thought this was a little tacky, so we told the staff to please see that it was put on before we returned from dinner. It was. otherwise, pretty clean ,convenient place for da night or two.

Overall a good stay... something not quite right about the ac both my wife and I were cold and hot on and off all night. The bed was very soft. The hall and stair carpet need to either be washed or replaced. Great breakfast.Wonderful part of New York State

The hotel was ideally located for my reunion weekend at Vassar College. Room was very comfortable and the rate was reasonable. The continental breakfast was adequate and filling. If we return to Poughkeepsie we will not hesitate to come back to the Days Inn.

Friendly staff, but lots of little things wrong with bathroom (soft spot in shower floor, down sloping bathroom counter, door never latched properly). Very few 3 prong outlets to plug in coffee machine. Had to put it on floor in front of door. Good location for walking to Vassar. Mellow residential neighborhood.

My son and I stayed at the Day Inn in Poughkeepsie when we came to tour the Vassar College campus where he'd been admitted. The location was close to campus which was largely why we stayed there. But the walls are paper thin and the beds are rock hard. At 1:00 AM I had to ask someone to be quiet who was talking on a cell phone in a normal tone of voice […] outside my room because it sounded like they were standing right next to me. We stayed here for a college alumni event. No major complaints-- good deal for the money. Included side bar breakfast (waffle maker, cereal, coffee, fruit, breads, pastries). Small indoor pool looked clean and there were 3 machines in the fitness room for a quick workout. I can only guess that our neighbor had an enlarged prostate, as he seemed to flush the toilet every 15 minutes, and the sound was so loud it sounded as if an airplane toilet was going off. Very happy with this hotel. I was only here for one night but the staff was great. They even opened the fitness center early for me the morning I had to leave. My room was clean, comfortable, just like the rest of the hotel. The neighborhood isn't the greatest but not the worst either. I'd definitely come back.
