A heart-shaped ring road defines Brussels’ city core, and most of its visitor attractions. Within these limits, the centre consists of two distinct halves. To the west is the Lower Town, a tangle of medieval streets centred on the Grand Place, a vast cobbled square surrounded by ornate Flemish buildings. To the east is the newer and more aristocratic Upper Town, a zone of palaces and parks, grand museums, and gothic churches.see all hotels in Brussels
Be prepared to take the stairs on a regular basis. We were on the 7th floor and the elevator only went to the 6th (the few times that we wanted to take it and it wasn't turned off).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"An Ok place to stay."
We were in this hotel for five nights. If we didn't have the exact address for this hotel we may not have found it as the entire front facade was covered with construction scaffolding. Even though the room was clean, wall paper was coming off the walls. The primary elevator was being repaired and the secondary elevator often did not work meaning we […] had to go up or down 8 flights of stairs on several occasions. However this hotel was the closest to the area of our conference and the breakfast buffet was varied and good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel has an excellent location.Near the center of the city but far enough of the noise of the center of the city were many events were taking place. The hotel is under remodeling. It was very inconvenient because of the noise, the elevator was out of service because of the construction. If I would had informed that that this hotel was going to be […] under construction,I wouldn't chosen it.The weather was unusually hot, so it was very inconfortable to sleep in the room because even having the window open there was not breeze. The good thing was that the employees at the front desk were really kind and always tried to help us when we asked for help. "Great location - warm in the summer heat"
We stayed at the hotel during high tempuratures and we did not have air conditioning nor did we find there was air movement with the windows open.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Would stay here again."
Very nice motel. Well maintained. Great breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place to stay"
The hotel is in a good location. Close to most of the interest points. Metro is in front of hotel. Brussels central rail station is just 10 minutes walk. The hotel serves good breakfast. The staff were helpful and all speak good English. The only dissatisfying thing was the room we stayed has some ants.Genuine Expedia guest review
Three negative points. First, there was a stinking smell coming from the bathroom and invading the bedroom. I told the front desk the first day but they did nothing. Second, there is no A/C and no air comes from the window because it's on a tiny courtyard; so it was very hot even at night. Last, they charge ten euros per day for the wi-fi. On the positive […] side, the complimentary breakfast is very good. But in total I don't know how they got three stars. I won't come back here. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

It was two days business stay in Brussels. The room was small but clean. Nice breakfast. Very nice location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location...perfect for a night!"
Room could of been cleaner(tub had hairs & reminant trash left from previous occupant). Room also did not have a/c (at least I couldn't find the switch)! Room decor in itself was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Good selection for Breakfast, just make sure you don't go 30 before it's over the eggs & ham were cold & were not replenished. I was disappointed […] by the front desk agent. We didn't feel welcomed at check in, nor did she help us with our requests regarding local activities. I guess I'm just used to receiving a warm welcome, maybe even a question, "where are you from/what brings you to brussels?" etc. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel at a convenient location"
We stayed only one night at this hotel due to airline problems, but it was great for our purpose. It was within walking distance (10-15 minutes) of the Grand Place and it was right at a Metro stop. So we saw all the sights that we had planned to visit. The staff was very nice, and we would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I'll pick a different location next time"
The hotel is older and the rooms are tiny, but comfortable and there was a nice view from our balcony. The location is near a subway stop, however, what nobody told us is it is straight UPHILL from the Brussels Central Station in the opposite direction from the main plaza. The staff is useless.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Chambord in Brussels"
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights for a business trip to Brussels. It was fine for me but it's not a high-quality business hotel. My single room was tiny, and although in theory it had a desk, the access to it was completely obstructed by the bed. And the room was very cold. (Brussels was also experiencing very cold weather it should be said.) Internet […] access was patchy. And the daily cleaning didn't include making the bed. On the plus side, the hotel was very conveniently located for my meeting, and the breakfast selection very good. I would probably return to the hotel if on a similar budget for future trips. "DO NOT STAY HERE! Hotel Chambord is terrible!"
This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The front receptionist is very rude and unhelpful. Everything we asked for such as extra pillows, water, an electrical converter,. etc. was "not possible." They do not provide water or coffee in the rooms. The beds are hard and the halls smelled like mildew. The front of the hotel is under construction […] so you have to drag your suitcase through the mud to get to the entrance. The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Chambord - convenient for Port de Namur area"
Very convenient location for this general area of Brussels. No frills - but has all the basics needed incl. wireless. Nice breakfast buffet. Friendly staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not impressed, but good location for me."
My room was not ready by the time of arrival. The WIFI did not work until later the first evening. Breakfast was okay but frugal, overpriced as are most breakfasts in Europe. Room was very small and value for your money was not a trait of this hotel. However, it is close to a business location and this is why I picked it.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Not impressed at all. Rooms are very tiny."
I's not impressed with this hotel at all. It should be listed as 1 or 2 stars the most. Location was OK with walking distance to some attraction and close proximity to subway station. Single room was so tiny that make me feel bad. Lights in the room were so poor that was almost impossible to read. There was no coffee maker in the room and in the evening […] I couldn't get coffee from the breakfast room unless I pay for it. Besides they'd different rules everyday about it. One evening coffee was free because was Sunday and on Monday they charged me. As for the bar it was open only on weekdays and in funny hours. Talked to a manager about some issues but it was hopeless. The only one bright side of this hotel was breakfast with wonderful breads and pastries. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel near Grande Place/Brussels Central"
Hotel Chambord was awesome, friendly reception, very nicely decorated. Room was well cleaned with a nice modern bathroom and furniture. "Clean, neat, totally without character or charm."
It is clean and modern, but no style, no pictures on the wall. Totally utilitarian room. No place where you would want to spend time. Very well located right next to Rue de Namur Metro Station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

lots of works during my stay and there was no discount for it. I've receive a cheaper room that I booked in Expedia with no explanation at all. "Great Value... Wonderful Breakfast"
The hotel is in an excellent location. You can walk there from the Central Station if you don't have too much in the way of luggage. We used the Hop On, Hop Off bus to easily get around the city and see the sights. One of the hotels best features was the breakfast buffet which incuded eggs, bacon and a very nice variety of rolls and cheeses. Eat hearty […] because food can tend to be quite expensive in Brussels. The Hotel Chambord proved to be an excellent choice for a short stay in the city. It was clean, had a wonderful location and was quite affordable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Within walking distance to the royal palace and museums and gardens. And a metro station is at the front door of the hotel. Very friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. My only complaints are the tinest room and the lack of hot water for the shower. At best, the water was lukewarm.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
rooms are small and the television has not a lot of channels. But it was just a place to sleep nothing more. And they have a good breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
I have to admit it's a very good deal for the price. There were just a few cleanliness details in the room and although I was all the way up on the sixth floor, it was still quite noisy, especially on the weekend. Good location though. The breakfast buffet was quite complete, no complaints there. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a […] good deal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We chose this hotel over the Sheraton (both same price) becuase this one had breakfast included :)..However....breakfast hours on the weekends we learned are not until 8a so that would make catching our 10am flight back to the states difficult.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great location, clean, and comfortable"
I really do not have any complaints about this hotel. The check in went very smooth and the front desk was very friendly and was able to answer our questions (spoke english very well). The room itself was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the thing I liked best was that they had channels on tv in like every language from french, english, spanish, […] german, etc. So it was a nice change to be able to watch tv in English! The hotel is right next to the metro which will take you to the train stations and the hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the touristy stuff in brussels (town hall, the peeing boy, etc.). The hotel is very close to the royal palace and all that stuff. There are also some nice restaurants to choose from that are only minutes away to walk to from the hotel. However i would highly recommend this hotel. Also, we saw in our room the normal average rate for the room and it was ridiculously expensive. i believe I booked our room using hotelopia and got it for like 70% less!! So it might be worth it for you to check that out. the price also includes a buffet breakfast but we had to leave very early the next morning to catch our flight that we were unable to eat at the hotel. hope this helps! "nice modern hotel"
This was in a great location, took us 15 minutes to walk in to the centre. Hotel was kept very clean aswell as our room. It did have a loose toilet seat and broken hook on back of bathroom door but did not bother us. I did not make breakfast despite it being served until 11am which is later than most hotels I have stated at, so can not rate it. Was […] helped by about 3 different members of staff most were very helpful but one could not get us a taxi but they did have notice on reception staing to book taxis in advance. Enjoyed the stay, breakfast was adequate and when they ran out, they were quick to refill. The lighting in the rooms could have been better and the wardrobe door fell of its hinges on our first day but was quicky fixed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Convenient for business"
As a business hotel this is fine, and very convenient for EC offices in Square Meeus, for example. Also well-positioned for the centre of town just 5-10 mins walk away. I wouldn't choose this hotel for a holiday or city break with my wife - rooms are not smart and don't pretend to be, but are perfectly fit for purpose. Free WiFi is limited to 30 mins, […] but I have never had a problem with requesting a second 30 mins. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A long weekend in Brussels"
The hotel is in a convenient location, adjacent to the porte de Namur metro station. The rooms were comfortable, and kept spotlessly clean. The only problem we had was with the smell from the drains.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nicest room in many stays"
I stay here frequently as it's quite convenient for my work in Brussels. Of the many times, I've stayed this room (called a "business room") was by far the most comfortable and spacious. Like all the rooms, however, it is quite dark. The staff tends to be a bit rigid and it took two tries (days) for me to get a key light bulb replaced in the bathroom […] and the safe fixed. While I hate paying for internet access 10 euros for 24 hours is at least reasonable and it works well. Breakfast is reliable and reasonably varied. I don't love the Chambord, but I will stay again because value for money is good relative to other hotels in Brussels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"ONLY STAY FOR THE LOCATION. POOR QUALITY INSIDE"
My family and I stayed here for the summer bank holiday weekend, we were expecting the basics to be honest - a decent 3 star hotel. However, the quality of hotel looked like a 1/2 star hotel. The lift didnt work. no air con in the the bedrooms. rooms are stuffy, VERY dusty. Decor is a mess, looked like we were in the 1960s - although some decor was […] not bad the classy door handles. The shower room lacked toiletries, no shower gel - soap etc. The pressure of water in the bathrooms was almost dripping. My garden tap is prob more powerful. The breakfast was DREADFUL!! LACK OF cereal varities. NO cutlery, always having to ask for a bloody spoon to eat with. The breakfast room/restaurant looked like a school canteen almost. On the good side, the hotel is located in a fantastic location, A FULL renovation is needed in the hotel, then it will be fantastic place to stay. Overall, avoid! Unless only staying for the location. Beware, NO PARKING IS AVAILABLE! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very convenient, clean and good value... but..."
We had two single rooms here. In one, the safety deposit box wasn't working and the window wouldn't close. The other was fine though, except for flashing red lights on the smoke alarm that kept me awake until I stuck paper over them. The rooms were very small - just wide enough for the bed. The bathroom was small but okay. There was no air conditioning […] or a fan, and even on a warm day in May the room was too hot. I wouldn't stay in one of these rooms in summer. The hotel was generally a bit stuffy and overheated. The hotel seems rather dark and drab, but the breakfast room is light and airy and has floor to ceiling windows. You can't get to it in a wheelchair though. Breakfast was fine, with all you would expect but no more. No complaints at the price. The staff were friendly, but they didn't have any stamps at reception (despite advertising that they had) and the little bar was closed on Friday and Saturday. There was no coffee machine elsewhere in the hotel or kettle in our rooms. There was a cold drinks machine though. The best thing about this hotel is that Porte de Namur Metro is three seconds from the front door, and this station is four stops from Brussels Midi - very handy if you arrive by Eurostar. We thought the hotel was good value, clean and convenient, but there were too many niggles to recommend it. Unless you get a really good deal perhaps. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Tiny room, very dark inside. Four very fuzzy local TV stations not worth watching. I asked four times for the liht globe in the bathroom to be replaced but it never happened. Had to put up with the dark.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel itself is in a good location, in fact the Metro is literally on the door step. In regards to the comfort of the room, it was just too hot temperature wise. After complaining to the staff, I was told there was nothing they could do about it but that I would be given an alternative room - this did not happen. Further, I was given a room on the […] first floor - which had no view. I would suggest that if you are offered a room on the first floor, to ask to be moved to a higher floor. Otherwise, the staff were pleasant, and the buffet breakfast was fine. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Decent hotel near EU institutions"
I booked this hotel well in advance, so got a very good rate for the room which is not that easy for hotels in Brussels. The hotel is comfortable, but even though the rooms are supposed to be non smoking, mine smelled quite strongly of cigarettes. The location is excellent (just across) the metro station, the center of Brussels and many of the EU institutions […] can be easily reached. The breakfast is generous :) Overall, not bad at all if you book your room in advance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Could be SO much better"
The hotel is pretty good, breakfast is very well served. People is very kind. Rooms maintenance should be checked. Specific corners in room where dust seems to not have been clean for long time. Remote control did not turn off the tv, no even sleep option. it is a detail but still bothers. Batrhoom door could not be closed completely although it stayed […] closed by pushing it, it just opened. INTERNET IS CHARGED AND EXPENSIVE: There is no place where to use it for free. Anyway thez did provide a user valid for 30 minutes. We had 2 computers. One day we were only provided of a single user, although we requested 2. The next day we were provided of 2. So it is not really clear. Internet should be free. If it was included I am sure I would return to this hote. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Budget business, but too hot, and not very clean"
Spent one night in March 2012. Thought the location was ok. However, the room we got didn't have any windows facing outside, only facing a bathroom chute in the middle of the building. It was a bit chilly outside, but the room was so hot we slept without a blanket and with the window open yet it was not very comfortable. I can only imagine what it is […] in the summer. And ours is not an exception to the rooms facing inside. Each floor has at least 3 to 4 rooms like ours. Also, the carpet was not very clean. Bathroom however was extremely nice. If you can ensure an outside facing room with some more sun it might be a better bet. Otherwise, I will definitely look for another place if I revisit brussles. This was a weekend trip hotel without any expectations. Upon arrival in Brussels we were delighted that our hotel was only three Metro stations away from Midi.
