Quality Inn - Houston

Had business less than a mile from hotel. Neighborhood is definately sketchy to include the strip club that shares teh saem parking lot. The hotel overall is excellent. Furniture is old but new flat screen tv's, updated bathrooms make it ok. Breakfast is horrible but what do you expect for 66 dollars a night.

It was awful. The frig and microwave we requested was not there when we arrived at midnight. There was feces on the toilet seat. We stayed in a different room that night and cancelled the rest of our reservation the next morning. Needless to say, they charged us absolutely nothing. Only good thing about the place.

I don't live in Texas and was NOT used to the heat. I didn't feel like the A/C did its job and wound up having to buy a fan to cool things down. Also, the ice makers on each floor were not working and would have to go all the way to the lobby to get ice. On the other hand, the staff was super nice and accommodating. This time was the worst ever. The room was not clean, floors in hallways dirty, trash barrel near our room. Our room was totally missed for cleaning. Non supportive front desk staff. Meeting room was smelly with odors. This stay was horrible.

Our room was nice and my only problem was that none of the ice dispensers worked on any of the floors except for the main floor. There were ice machines on every floor but none of them worked. I didn't like having to go all the way down to the front lobby each time just to get ice.

The hotel smelled. The exercise equipment was broken, there was water but not cups, no towels and no air circulation in the tiny exercise room. The rooms were dated and hard to control the temperature. The staff, however, were very nice.

The young man at the front desk at check in was very pleasant and accomodating. The 1st room I was put in had no lights in the bathroom and the air conditioning worked very poorly (which in Houston is an absolute no-no). When maintenance arrived he commented that the bathroom lights not working was due to the flourescent bulbs being loose. I requested […] to move to another room with better air conditioning and they promptly accomodated my request. The 2nd room's A/C worked very well but I still had a problem with the bathroom lights. Remembering what the maintenance guy had said about the lights in the previous room, I opened the light cover and jiggled the bulb and it came on. I had to this about 33% of the time that I turned on the lights in the bathroom. Only 2 of the lamps in the room actually worked. I needed to iron my clothing for my event that evening and tried to trade bulbs from one of the working lamps to the one by the desk that was not working only to discover that someone had cut the plug in completely off the lamp's cord. A nice enough place, located right next to I-10. The neighborhood isn't bad; I guess one guy's comment was prompted by the fact that the hotel is situated next to a "cabaret" which looks a little seedy. I can't be sure, since I didn't visit it, and you can't see inside from the road. But the nearby neighborhood looks perfectly safe, the doors of the […] hotel open into the hotel (not out into the street), and there are many perfectly legitimate businesses in the area. We stayed one night. The A/C wasn't on in the room when we walked in, but that's easily fixed. The beds are comfortable; the room and bathroom, clean. The staff was friendly and accommodated our request for a late check-out. Even the normal check-out time (noon) is more lenient than most places I've been lately; everyone seems to want you out at 11am now. The breakfast was a decent enough "hot" breakfast: danishes, juices, waffle maker w/mix, toasts, and pigs in a blanket. I hadn't seen those before, and while I didn't try one, they looked pretty happy sitting in a warmed pan. We would definitely recommend the place, and will likely stay here again. Read more

Wasn't really impress with the quality of the hotel for the money. The area that hotel was loacted in I would not feel comfortable going out in at night. Called for linens and has to wait 20-30 minutes for the to arrive.

For the price this Hotel is awesome. The beds are fantastic and the service is excellent. The staff helped us and answered our questions. THE GSR WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL.ROOM SMELLED LIKE MOLD. RAINED THE NEXT DAY AND THEIR WERE BUCKETS ALL OVER THE LOBBY.THEIR WAS NOT A REFRIGERATOR OR MICROWAVE IN THE ROOM.
