The hotel is under some cosmetic restoration. None of this affected our stay. Our room was recently repainted and updated. All of the plumbing while older was functional and clean. Breakfast area was very small and menu was limited. On balance with price, an overall good value. Staff were courteous and well informed.

It is close to Holland Tulip Festival. Staffs were nice but 1. first room had bad bad cigaret smell. had to change the room. 2. when you take shower, please close the door all the way. heat from the shower will trigger smoke alarm. 3. Breakfast room had only 4 tiny tiny tiny tiny tables. You may have to take food back to the room.

Walking down the hall - I wanted to turn around and check out. It was very stinky. This is what I would call a "slipper hotel" - you need to wear your slippers all the time. We were there during the Tulip Festival and rooms were at a premium but at $120 a night - this was WAY over priced. Smelled really bad when we walked in the hotel but it could have been the smell of food cooking. Someone was cooking Christmas dinner for the workers at the hotel. Room was clean but had a "old" smell...most likely a pet smell since they allow pets to stay. Not a big problem but I would have stayed somewhere else if I had paid attention that they allow […] pets. Rooms were very clean. Appreciated the couch with 1 queen bed. Lobby was small for the breakfast crowd. Staff was very courteous and helpful with directions. Will stay here often. Be sure to get clear directions for finding this hotel...has a service drive for access off the main road. Merry Christmas.

The motel needs to be updated. The carpet is frayed and stained. The tub is marked up with something like epoxy, the water faucet pulls out of the wall. The complimentary breakfast was not very appetizing, and there were only three tables. We ate elsewhere. I was not informed fully about the pet policy when booking the room, in fact the establishment […] did not know I was bringing pets at all. I would not have stayed at this motel if I had been fully aware of the restrictive nature of the pet policy. I did think their charge per dog was reasonable, although I had just stayed at a Comfort Inn which charged less for both dogs. We stayed at the hotel for four nights with our four children, ages 14, 12, 4, & 3. We had a very nice time staying there. The staff was very friendly. The pool wasn't open due to the time of year but they did have a swing set and a slide out back by the pool and my little ones loved it. They were able to swing and play while we went out to smoke our […] cigarettes, came in very handy in keeping them entertained. They were located right off the road we came into town on so it was very easy to locate as well, which we liked. We found the beds to be a little uncomfortable, causing slight back aches in the morning and some tossing and turning but other than that small thing, we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend it! Right off highway so easy to travel to downtown Holland and State Park beach. Saugatauk also very close by. Pool was a bonus as was the continental breakfast. Obviously this is not a fancy hotel, but very good for the price.

I thought the Days Inn in Holland, MI was a great place to spend the few nights in Michigan. The bed(s) were comfortable, the A/C was wonderful, and the location was pretty convenient (off of highway 31/ 196B). Overall, my stay was outstanding .

My hasband's words explained it best. "Old and worn out." I mean it wasn't falling down but really needs an outside face lift. Somehow we got a handycap room which was ok, but the room was very small because the bathroom is twice the regular size to provide room for wheel chairs. The bathroom itself was not impressive. The tub, toilet, and sink were […] all decent but the floor was marred up from wheel chairs, and dirty in the corners. The wall by the bathroom sink was dirty from wet hands splashing it up and not being wiped down. The sheets were so old #but clean# that the elastic to hold the bottom sheet on was shot and all night I fought to keep the sheet on. The mattress pad looked like it was for a standard size bed and it was put on a Queen so when that sheet let go I found myself sleeping directly on the mattress itself. The matterss was old and sagged in the middle, not comfortable. The carpet was clean and the air conditioner worked well, you just need to tweek the knobs to get what you wanted. The pool water was clean but sand in the bottom. I really won't stay there again. Read more

We understand the hotel was undergoing remodeling, but the lingering smell of cigarette smoke was present. The pool was very nice. The staff was very helpful in recommending nearby beaches and activities. The continental breakfast with the bonus Belgium waffles was good.

Thank God we only stayed one night. The hotel was old and could have used a desperately needed remodel. The pool was outside in clear veiw of all the trucks and cars going by on the freeway. I woulkd not recommend this hotel.
