Hotel Amarante Champs-Elysées - Paris

The hotel is shabby and worn. It must have been great when it was new, but that was probably in the 1920s.It is now threadbare and the air conditioning barely works at all. The a/c board in the lobby is fanned with two small fans to keep it from overheating. Read: FIRE THREAT! The hotel lobby has no a/c at all. We are talking early August. this hotel deserves a star. the reception is terrible, broken elevator, room dirty, noisy, untrained people. could not have ever 4 stars. the only good thing is the location. would cost $ 100. I paid $ 400.é absurd! ever, only gonna get hotel brands like Marriott, ibis, etc.

Don't be fooled by the location of this hotel, Champs Elysses. The hotel is old and dirty. it is over priced and over rated. The maid comes in only in the morning to clean and you don't see her back again. The walls are dirty, unkept not to mention the wood is being eaten by termites. The carpet is old, dirty and lifting. The beds are hard and the linens […] look as if they haven't been washed in a while. They have old spots I hate to think from what??? The hotel is one block from the Champs Elysees great location! The staff were helpful and provided good information/tips about the city. Rooms were clean and well kept. This hotel is a very good choice to stay when in Paris.

This hotel bills itself as a 4 Star, but be prepared for a 1 star. The hotel was moldy and the walls and ceilings were water stained. Doesn't look like the hotel has been updated since maybe the 50's. Antique charm is wonderful if it is kept up. The double bed was actually 2 twin beds put together with a sheet over the top, which means that you fell […] into a cracked if you rolled over, and the sheets didn't fit the bed so your feet hit the bare mattress at the bottom and I'm only 5'2". The walls were very thin and when the other guest came in at 3 in the morning, we got to enjoy the remaining party that they had in the hall. Hotel lobby is impressive but that's about it. The location is superb but the hotel itself was a leg down. Broken heating in room, broken radiator in a tiny bathroom, dirty carpets, awful view. No soundproofing so you hear the maid from 7am cluttering about. Traffic noise is an issue. Bath was dirty and soap dish hanging off wall. Staff were unhelpful […] over heating and refused to move us. I believe this room is die officially reserved for anyone who paid less than the standard rate. We wanted to stay in a hotel near Champ Elysees, and a friend recommended this place. It is indeed a great location, as one need to walk for 5 minutes only to be at Champ Elysees. However we found the hotel room was very small, and the bathroom was even tinyer... The breakfast was not included with the room package, but I don't recommend it.. too expensive […] for the limited breakfast choice... I had been looking forward to returning to the hotel as I had stayed there before and really enjoyed the experience. This stay was extremely disappointing - My room was very dirty - the carpet was filthy, headboard coated in hair grease - something nasty hanging down from the ceiling - wardrobe so full of dust I could not put my clothes inside - overflow […] pipe from the bidet (in full view when using the toilet) needed cleaning. I was short of time (one night stay) and so did not ask to change rooms. On leaving the hotel I left a hand written note addressed to Mr G Eridia, The General Manager - the note drew attention to the aforementioned shortcomings. So far (some 2 weeks later) I have received no response to my letter - which is a great pity as this just gives the impression that the hotel is neither interested in the cleanliness of their hotel or the comfort of their guests. Très bonne location au Champ-Elisée, l'hôtel a un caractère original, la chambre était propre avec un bon sale du bain mais en général la qualité d’hôtel est un peu moins que 4 étoiles a Paris. La chambre était petite et l’hôtel a besoin de maintenance.
