"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

"Beautiful Hotel!"
Just went up for the night. The hotel was wonderful and we enjoyed admiring the festivities that were going on that evening. Great restaurant and bar.
"Not what I expected"
I thought the luxury hotel would have a microwave, refrigerator in hotel room but it was extra fee to provide. The location of the TV and size was not compatible with the room setting. Nice hotel, clean but I was expecting more.
"Great trip"
Surprise get away for my wife. Excellent property with fantastic staff. Not a corporate hotel so I think they do things better. Hotel restaurants are a bit pricey but the ambiance, service, and food are worth at least one meal at Rod's - try for a table in one of the railcars. The pool and hot tub were clean and inviting. 2 minute walk to train station […] for a 40 minute trip to NYC Penn Station. Locally, lots of nice places in Morristown and Madison. This is 2nd trup to Madison Hotel this year and looking forward to return trip in the future. Read more
"Nice weekend getaway.."
This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. We chose it because of the connecting restaurant & lounge. Our room was clean & comfortable, it was close to the pool & it smelled of chlorine & smoke. They offer a very nice continental breakfast. I would stay here again but would ask for a room further away from the pool.
"Awesome"
Great place for my 4yr old son and I to spend the day/night. Pool, dinner, everything was top-notch.
"Dated...Horrific bathroom"
This hotel is close to the NYC train which is why we picked it. However, the pictures are not a current look of the hotel. The bathroom is dated, dirty, and frankly scary. There were hairs in our sink and bathtub. The floor had grease or grime on the tiles. We had to walk on towels. We will not be back. The hotel lobby is very pretty but could use new […] rugs, painting, and a good cleaning. A let down after viewing their website. Read more
"Madison Hotel -- Built in 1981 to feel like 1881"
A large hotel with ample facilities. Built in the early 1980s to resemble something from the century before,it is now tired and in need of a remodeling. The bar and lounge look like a worn out attempt at 19th century grandeur. The rooms show 30 years of wear and repair. Service was fine, continental breakfast had fresh, standard fare.

"We give it four stars - it made our holiday !"
We had a wonderful 5 day stay at the Madison over the Christmas holiday. The hotel was beautifully festive and he amenities were outstanding. We look forward to staying there often in the future.
"Great place!"
Stayed for 3 nights--beautiful hotel, very comfortable, great people. We left an item behind and the staff was very efficient in getting it back to us. Love this place!
"A great place to stay"
A pleasant surprise. The only problem was the old TV. It's long past the need for an upgrade. That being said, I really didn't miss watching TV. Reading a good book was satisfying enough. Everything else was without fault & I would definitely stay there again.
"Really close to train station."
Everything is good except two things. Breakfast area is small and limited. Second, air condition cannot be adjusted easily in my room and it make noise. Except these, it was a very good place to stay.

"The Madison Hotel"
Great location. Walk across the parking lot to the New Jersey transit train station. Short 1 hour ride to Penn Station. Breakfast is VERY nice. Rooms are very comfortable. BUT best of all the staff is amazing. So helpful. So kind and so polite. Our favorite place to stay in the US!

"Madison Hotel - near train station"
Hotel is tired and needs to be updated. Presidential suite was nothing special; decor very 1980s; everything beat up and needs to be renovated. Friendly staff, internet service, good shower, restaurant was ok, and located right next to train station.

"Would recommend the Madison Hotel in Morristown"
Very nice hotel. Would definitely recommend for family or business purposes. If you get the continental breakfast, get there early, they run out of food and drinks at 9:30.

This hotel is in major need of updating. The hotel room was tired looking and dusty. The tub had rust around the drain, not the kind of tub you want to bath a one year old in. The bed was very lumpy and probably over 20 years old. A little disappointing, but still a great location and near everything.
"Great value and location"
Teriffic restaurant (Rod's) adjacent to hotel, nice rooms, teriffic staff, and 100 yards from the train to NY City. What's not to like. I'll be back.
wonderful hotel. totally decorated in the holiday spirit. great restaurant choices and wonderful breakfast buffet. heated indoor pool - walk to train to NYC and wonderful staff. rate was incredible - will return again.
"Comfortable Hotel"
Very comfortable hotel if you want to be in Morristown area. Little far away from usual hot spots but I didn't mind it. Good Hotel to stay
"Madison Hotel"
Great family place, great service, at an unbeatable price
"NYC trip"
This hotel is great for a NYC trip since the NJ Transit is in the next parking lot. The hotel is nice. The rooms were standard with comfy beds. Very accommodating and friendly staff. GREAT value. We will be coming back in the future!!!
"The Madison Hotel close to NYC"
We decided to stay at the Madison Hotel the week before Christmas to explore NYC. The hotel is directly across from the Convent train station which goes to NYC (a one hour ride at $23 per person round trip). The hotel itself offers a heated inside pool, a hot tub, a gym, and comfy lobby with fireplace seating, a phenomenal breakfast buffet consisting […] of fresh fruit, bagels, bread, pastries, croissants, yogurt, juices, teas (12 different flavors), and coffee. The hotel room was very inviting. We have never slept in such a comfortable bed as this hotel offered, the room was big with a view to the train station. The hotel staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of our stay. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again in the future and would recommend it to anyone staying in the area, or who plans to visit NYC. Read more
"Real grand charm at a great value"
We enjoyed our stay at the Madison. We have stayed there once before for a wedding, and always thought it would be nice to come back. We did, and we will go back again. The staff is wonderful, the surrounding area is lovely, and location avoids that evil jersey traffic.

"Great stay"
I went with my family for a weekend and it snowed that weekend. it was a great stay there they keep the parking lot and walkways clean and they we very hospitable including opening doors, a great continental breakfast and great overall service.
"The Madison Hotel in Morristown"
My husband and I found this hotel to be a hidden treasure. We wish we had known about it years ago. The hotel was lovely, the rooms were very nice, and the continental breakfast was fantastic. We wish we had taken advantage of going to the restaurant because the atmosphere in there was such a wow factor. We will definitely try it out the next time. […] We especially liked the fact that the train station was across the parking lot--making it an easy access into NYC. Read more

"lovely hotel"
We stayed for 5 nights in the Madison while working in nearby Chatham. Our work days were grueling, so coming back to this lovely hotel each night really helped us relax after some tough days. Their breakfast was also top notch. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in this area.
"decent hotel but dated"
Overall the hotel was fine but was a bit dated. The room was decent, and the bed was comfortable. The location is also good - walking distance to the train station. The breakfast was disappointing. I got there at 10 when the breakfasted ended at 10:30, and 90% of the food was gone and was not replaced. It was not sufficient for the amount of guests. […] I also was unable to connect to the free wireless internet. When I arrived they were not able to find my hotels.com reservation. They eventually did, but checking in took about 15 minutes as a result. Read more
