Hotel needs some updating and rooms are very small for the money. Although they are pet friendly, not many good places for a dog..The Staff encourages you to use the grounds at the Hilton which seemed a little strange.

We really enjoyed the Eldorado. The staff was veryy friendly and attentive. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The location was perfect. It was close to shops, restaurnts and the Plaza. A very good value.

It was fantastic. We have a pet that has not received all her shots yet and was unable to be boarded and the hotel allows pets and greets them with a cute goody bag of treats. Everyone from the front desk, to the bell hop, to the cleaning service was fantastic. It felt like home away from home. And everything is walking distance without being stuck […] in the middle of all the noise. It's a block away from shopping and restaurants, two from the square and yet the area is quiet and peaceful. The lobby is like a museum. The hotel is located within walking distance of everything. The rooms were very nice. Walk in glass door shower. Only complaint was shower pressure was insufficient.

We have been to Santa Fe numerous times, and have had drinks at the Agave lounge before, but this was our first stay at the hotel. We were concerned about staying in a high-end property while traveling with our dog, but not once did we feel like he wasn't welcome. The only thing I would change if I could would be the pool. It's VERY tiny. But most properties on the plaza don't even have a pool, and this one is a rooftop pool! It was nice, just not much room for more than 3 or people to be comfortable without feeling like a space invader. The room was nice size, with LOTS of storage places. The hot tub was fun with the light snow falling. The week end was pretty cold and snowy so the photo shots will have to wait for next visit. The staff were all awesome and we took their restaurant recommendations and all were in walking distance. Dancing at the palace to a live band was fun. I would def stay at this hotel again.

The hot tub and pool on the roof top were a little small for the size of the hotel. However, we met some very nice people during our time on the hot tub. The location is very close to the museums, galleries and restaurants. My husband and I walked everywhere.

The Eldorado Hotel was the very best buy for a luxury hotel we have ever enjoyed. The public rooms were tastefully designed with excellent decor of the Southwest. Eldorado Hotel was fantastic! We especially enjoyed the hot tub on the top floor when it was 22 degrees outside. The staff was so nice and kind to us and our dog. It was an amazing pet friendly retreat.

The feather top bed, was like sleeping on a down filled pillow which was comfy, but the body heat is trapped in those feathers, causing some heat discomfort with sleeping. I always enjoy my stay at Eldorado Hotel. Was a little surprised that I found things left there by a previous occupant - clothes in drawers, a facial cleanser in the bathroom, and miscellaneous items in the desk drawer. Also noise from hotel workers and their walkie-talkies in the corridor were a bit loud in the morning. I think this was unusual so […] am not discouraged to stay again in the future. As to the hardware, this hotel is very good. As to the customer service, it's the totally opposite. We (my wife and I) tried to check in at about 4pm, but was told by the front desk that there's no room available and they would call me when it's ready. As we need to go to the concert at 5pm, we left our stuff stored at the front desk and was told that […] our room will "surely" be ready by 6pm. When we came back from the concert after 7pm and guess what, there were still no room available for us! My wife was angry and argued with them until they finally gave us a room (so they do have rooms available). We were repeatedly told that their manager will contact us to make up. As we took back our stuff we stored at the front desk, we found one of my sweater was missing. I called the front desk and one of the receptionist said he will check and call me back. Our mattress was like a potato chip to sleep on. After my husband stated that it was awful to hav his back hurt worse after a nights sleep we decided to complain. The staff checked the mattress and did replace it. That was great but there was no compication for the terrible first nights sleep. We both used the spa. The staff where wonderful, kind and […] accommodating. However, on my next visit to the spa I had a full body scrub. The water turned ice cold. The massage therapist did all she could to finish the scrub and warm me up. She complained and so did I but I was still required to pay full price for the service. the El Dorado is a lovely hotel, the service was excellent and the bar and restaurant are very inviting with great food and drinks. The rooftop hot tub is an added bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel. The plaza is a very short walk away -- 5 minutes max.

All the staff at the El Dorado were very helpful and accomodating. Paymon and Samantha at the front desk especially so. Having the flavored water in the lobby was refreshing, given the very low humidity of Santa Fe.

The Eldorado caters to and takes care of their visitors very well. They will park your car, carry your luggage, fill your ice bucket, and make it seem like they don't want you to do anything for yourself except relax and enjoy your stay. That's very nice, in some ways, but it can be inconvenient in others. If you're a self-service kind of person like […] I am, being told you can't do a thing by yourself is a little off-putting. I let it go however, and did the tipping that's required when you have so many people "helping" you. Outstanding service from the valet, to being greeted by name at the front desk when I arrived, to the bellman lighting a fire in my room. Very comfortable room, huge balcony. Very pleasant stay overall...would definitely return!

The hotel overall was great. The bed was comfortable and eveything was very clean. The only negative? The lack of fitted sheets. Every time we moved, the sheets moved to reveal mattress...gross. This should be fixed or bigger sheets purchased.
