Non-smoking room, when I arrived at 9:45pm it smelt like someone had been smooking in it, I was willing to think it might have been someone smoking outside of the room and the smell came in through the vents for heater/air conditioner. In the morning, I found a pile of cigarette ashes on the bathroom floor. Either nobody from housekeeping breathed through their nose in the room and did not enter the bathroom to clean from previous guest, or housekeeping was smoking in my room.

Hotel was close to the company I was visiting. Easy to find off the highway. Close to area restaraunts. All employees were very friendly. Night shift front desk clerk was very helpfull with directions to locations in the area. The day shift front desk clerks were helpfull in getting me onto the computer for pre-boarding flight check in. Continental breakfast was better than i expected. The food was hot and fresh, plenty of everything. The pool and gym although I did not have time to use them looked very clean and well taken care of. Beds were confortable and clean, as well as the bathroom facilities with in the room.

It was an okay place for a teenagers party. That's why we went there and the price was great. The rooms did smell of smoke, and one of our assigned rooms was still dirty at check in. The pool could have stayed open longer since it was the weekend. But the staff was courteous, helpful.

We wanted a place south of Chicago, in Indiana, and near Hwy 65. We were on a drive from Wisconsin to Fort Lauderdale and this was going to be a nice jump start. We didn't arrive until 10pm and we left at 8am. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was also very good, with a good variety. We didn't use any other amenities, which was too bad as it seems like a very good hotel

Desk help was excellent. The rest of the stay was functional. Breakfast set up was a bit confusing ... food could be cooked to order, but instructions to accomplish that were not prominent. Food was okay - cost was a bit high for quality.

We loved our stay here and will definitely return. We stayed with our baby and the hotel was very quiet. We had a standard room that had plenty of room for all of our baby gear we brought with us. The breakfast was really great and the staff was so friendly. The hotel is also in a great location in Valpo.

I was treated during my entire stay by a most hospitable staff. I mean everyone was helpful and friendly. Throughout my world travel, I cannot remember a nicer bunch of people. The room was exquisite. The Strongbow Inn has great food, staff, and is an easy walking distance. The turkey schnitzel is superb.

The hotel was nice we were in town for a wedding, however the bathroom ceiling had stuff coming off of it, the shower curtain was kinda nasty, and the walls are very thin we heard our neighbors in the next room and a bunch of kids above us..

I did not like a baby fridge sitting in the corner of the room. No elevator and had many steps to walk up and then down a long hall. Tile was ALL cracked in front of whirlpool. Very dated for the price.

I had room 240 at the top of the stairs. It was across from the furnace room so it was brutally hot and the thermostat was not functional. I could almost live with that by opening the window but the big problem was that the Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough to make a connection. I chose this hotel because they had Wi-Fi. I kept telling them that I […] had only one signal bar but all they did was tell me to reboot my computer, very nicely of course. I complained as I checked out. Nice place and ultra convenient if one has business @ Valpo U. Staff is very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. Only downside is iffy quality of surrounding restaurants. I love the native Hoosiers, but they are quirky about food; they seem to regard fresh vegetables as poison that they are reluctant to inflict on their customers.

Hotel is very nice, rooms and hallways are clean, rooms are comfortable, there are lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Hotel staff can make great recommendations for good restaurants.

I needed a place to stay for 4 days while on vacation. We had stayed here many years ago so we decided to stay again. Hotel is very convenient to shopping, roads, and attractions in the area.

Older building but nicely redone and extremely comfortable; buffet breakfast is great (for a fee); but bear in mind that the indoor-outdoor pool is NOT HEATED and can be quite cold (spa fine; take a towel with you)! Location near Valparaiso Univ. very nice--near several restaurants and shopping. Ample parking; great linens and plenty of extras. HVAC […] worked well but something was a bit noisy at times. We had a truly beautiful room! We were upgraded to the presidential suite because the hotel was close to full. Great service and beautiful space. Plus, the bed was so comfortable!
