"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Great room and location"
The room was awesome- two double beds, with a door in between. Spacious and clean. It's a bit old, though, especially the bathroom fixtures. The front desk staff were very friendly and informative. The only problem I could see was the elevator. In order to call it to the lobby you have to swipe your card and the reader is apparently very old. Be prepared […] for some frustration. Also the carpet in the halls are kind of stinky. But overall, it's a great location and we were VERY pleased with the hotel. Read more
"Cozy and Convenient for Winter Business Travel"
I stayed at the Days Inn Downtown in Vancouver for my first business trip to Vancouver. I traveled alone, and found the hotel conveniently located near the Sky Train exit and entrance, the Convention Center, Gastown, Stanley Park and Robson Street. I showed up three hours ahead of schedule and was able to check in immediately. This is a budget hotel […] and the room was small, but the bed was comfortable, the hot water worked well, and there was an in-room heating/air conditioning unit. The mini refrigerator was great for storing leftovers from meals out as needed. The hotel also provided complimentary bottled water and wireless internet service (wired internet service is available as well, but be sure to bring your own ethernet cord). All in all, great value and a comfortable stay. Read more
"Good downtown location"
Hey, we needed an affordable location in Vancouver. This place was no frills, Clean and in a great location. Two blocks from the water. Also close to the Sky train depot to the airport.
"Days Inn Vancouver near Convention Center"
Personnel are super nice and helpful, but hotel is old, rooms are small, no windows (they open onto another wall), no good heating or air conditiong, threadbare carpets, peeling wallpaper and non-working soap dispenser. Had to get the safe turned on. Nice to have a refridge though.
"good value for famlies"
My two young daughters and I stayed at the Days Inn in Vancouver while i attended a professional conference The staff was wonderfully friendly, the room was clean, and with young children I appreciated having a mini fridge and microwave. It is near reasonably, kid-friendly restaurants.
"tiny room, comfy bed, good location"
I stayed here for a conference that was located at Canada Place. The location was great- it was a close walk to Canada Place, Gastown, Chinatown, Robson, Granville, etc., but was not in the heart of the nightlife, so it was quieter when it was time for bed. The room was very small- there wasn't even room to put a suitcase out of the luggage rack. Also, […] for some strange reason there was a window in the bathroom through to the bedroom area. Still the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was nicely done, it was clean, and all but one new employee were knowledgable and helpful. Even with the bathroom-to-bedroom window and lack of overall space, I would readily stay here again. Read more

Other then the broken nob in the shower and the room being very cold it was awesome
"Great value, central location"
Great location, clean, comfortable.
"What's the deal with the key cards?"
This hotel was excellent: Convenient, clean, and comfortable. The only complaint I have--and it is a fairly big one--is that during our stay we had continual problems with the key cards. We sometimes had to insert our cards into the reader up to 10 times before we would finally get the green light so we could enter our room or call the elevator. The […] front desk even changed my card twice to try and get me one that would work. It was a big irritation to an otherwise lovely stay. I would definitely stay here again, but I'm begging you, Days Inn Vancouver Downtown, please fix the card readers! Read more
"Great for a short (inexpensive) stay"
The location of this hotel is great. Most attractions in downtown Vancouver are either within walking distance or a very short cab ride away. Location also feels very safe and secure at night. The hotel itself is by no means plush. The room was very small and the traffic noise from the street-facing room was fairly loud. The shower was TINY! I could […] barely bend over to wash my feet and the shower head was about shoulder height for me (although I am pretty tall at 6'5"). Luckily I was only there for 1 night and I think for a stay that short the value is unbeatable. I basically just needed a place to crash and it served the purpose well. Would not recommend for a longer stay or if you are looking for something romantic or charming. Read more

"Days Inn Vancouver downtown"
AOK for the bucks
"Great location, decent price"
Hotel rooms small, but very close to Waterfront sky train station (5 min walk) so that was great. Rooms clean, a little noisy (other guests arriving late at night). A great hotel if you're looking for somewhere cheap, clean and convenient. Would stay here again.
"central location"
good spot walking distance to gastown in one direction and stanley park in the other

"good location"
Seems like there are no inexpensive hotels in Vancouver, but this one is less expensive than most. Room was small but fine, good location.
"Vancouver Days Inn: Good Room, Great Location"
Vancouver Downtown Days Inn was a good basic clean room, nice Coffee shop below and Pub adjacent. The key for me was it was only 2 blocks to the Convention Center.

"Fine--but definitely 2-star"
This is not a 4-star hotel, so don't expect a lot of amenities. For the price and location, though, it's great. Some of the rooms also smell kind of moldy when it's raining. There is a refrigerator, the bathroom is perfectly clean (all of my towels weren't, but there were more than enough for that not to be a problem). The daytime staff was great, […] but when I arrived (at 2 am), the nighttime staff had stepped out for coffee. I only waited for a couple of minutes, but any wait at that time of the day is not stellar. Overall, an absolutely fine time Read more
"Days Inn Vancouver Downtown - good value"
Convenent location. Room was clean and staff were curteous and helpful. This hotel had free internet, with a decent connection, unlike many in Vancouver. Parking costs are high, but the location is very close to the train to/from YVR and all the shops and restuarants downtown, so no need for a car.
"Good location but not worth the price"
You could better plan your trip to stay somewhere else.
"Overpriced"
Overpriced. Small room. Smelly Lobby. Cleanliness ok.
"Great location, so so experience"
Beware if you are driving your own vehicle, there is no adjacent parking lot and you will end up using the expensive valet parking service. The room was small but clean. This is a place for sleeping and then leaving to check out the city by day. It is fantastically close to the convention center, shopping, seawall walkway. There is a convenient coffee […] shop type restaurant on the grounds. Read more

"Days Inn Vancouver Downtown Location"
I would recommend this hotel but be aware that the neighborhood is probably not safe after dark. Also, I was on the 4th floor and I could still hear noise on the street. At 2:30 am I was awoke with noise of people smashing bottles and talking loud on the street. Also, there was a family in the room above me and I could here every footstep. However, […] the hotel location was within walking distance of many Vancouver sites worth visiting and saved me a lot by not having to take taxis. The room was adequate and had amenities like free bottled water, mini fridge, iron/board and umbrella. The price for the room was considerably lower than the other hotels in the area. Read more

2 blocks from robson. very convenient if that is where you want to spend your time. rooms are very small. the queen size bed pretty much takes up the entire room. clean. good for the price if you are not planning on spending much time in your room.

"So-so hotel byt I liked the location"
I was attending an event at Canada Place which was just a couple block walk. A block from the hotel is the Elephant & Castle which is a pub/restaurant that I enjoy in San Francisco. The lobby is small and can be packed with people checking in and others just in the way. My shower had two settings, to hot or cold. The window mounted AC unit pretty much […] blew on my as I sat on the bed to watch tv. Otherwise the room was acceptable though small. I've spent months in Japan to encounter rooms this size. The valet guy and two desk women were very nice. Read more

"Days Inn Vancouver"
This is a very tiny motel, but the service was excellent, room was clean, and all was well. The bellhop suggested a pre-cruise tour for me that turned out to be a real highlight of my stay.

"Positive experience"
It is more than an adequate hotel, especially for people leaving on a cruise. Clean, comfortable, affordable, and close to docks.
"great location"
We picked this hotel because it was convenient to the Canada Place cruise ship pier. We were going on an Alaska cruise. They had a free shuttle from the hotel to the cruise ship piers. The hotel was well maintained. The front desk staff were friendly & knowledgeable. The rooms were small & didn't have a view, but on the other hand, the beds were comfortable, […] the air conditioning worked well & the shower had great water pressure. We were very happy with our stay at this hotel Read more

"Wonderful stay"
The hotel was great everyone there was very friendly, it was very clean, the rooms are a little small, but its to be expected in downtown. The location was perfect walking distance to cafes, bars, food, and the bay. I will definitely go back!
"Great hotel but minor issue"
Not too fond of the valet parking as the parking is not directly attached so valet has to retrieve/park your car every time. Also, room is a bit on the small side but expected since it is in the middle of downtown.
"Great location"
We had a great time in this hotel. We were leaving on a cruise ship from Canada Pier, so it was very close to that. There were also many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. At check-in at 11:00 AM, they told us it would be a short wait (not surprising since check-in was posted as 3 PM), so we stopped in the attached Chelsea's bar and had some […] good lunch. Several coffee shops within a couple of blocks of hotel. Even on weekend there were many places to eat and drink. Very friendly staff who helped us when the room safe was balky at opening. They fixed it immediately. Read more
"Air condition"
Room's a/c did not cool down, it stayed around 85 degrees throughout.
"Great location"
We had a one night stay before our Alaskan cruise from Vancouver. Hotel is in a wonderful location just a couple of blocks from Canada Place. Their free shuttle to the port was great with all of our luggage. Hotel is older, and room was quite small, but beds were extremely comfortable. "AC Issues"
The AC was out in several rooms and the staff was slow to respond. We finally changed rooms after calling a few times to the desk. Overall, the hotel was fine.
"Room a Little Small...."
but it was well-suited to my needs for my two-day stay, and the close proximity to downtown and waterfront facilities couldn't be beat for the price!! I would recommend this hotel to others.
