We stayed here twice in four days - the first day our room was very clean and comfortable. We were on the front of the building and it was quiet and peaceful. We returned three nights later and were assigned to a room on the back side of the building - it was okay, but not as clean and comfortable as the first room we had, and there was much more traffic […] noise. In both cases the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the continental breakfast, and appreciated that we were able to use the indoor pool at their "sister property" since their outdoor pool wasn't yet open for the season. Read more

Couldn't bring myself to upgrade to a nicer place for one night in Waynesboro. The gal at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. Looked like a popular stop over for skiers. The room was spacious, and did not smell. None of the lights were plugged in, the towels clean but grey, the HVAC was incredibly loud...as are all hotels as far as I'm concerned. […] Dog-friendly, but the dog in the room next door barked all morning, starting at about 5 am. It was OK, but I wouldn't stay there again. The room wasn't very clean, and it smelled stale. There was no iron in the room, which I thought was standard. Everything seemed a little shabby. There was a nice selection for breakfast, though.

The desk clerk was very friendly, the location was close to the interstate and near several chain restaurants. The room was not very clean and very outdated. The bed was fairly comfortable. It was a place to sleep, not much else. I will explore my options next time I'm in town.

We booked this hotel a couple of months ago. Everything else was booked due to peak color time and a University of Virginia home football game. It is just a basic room with a bathroom and sink. Bed was ok. Breakfast was fine. No bedbugs--we check everywhere due to being unhappy victims many years ago. Room is very outdated, needed new wallpaper and […] paint and a good vacuuming. We moved the nightstand looking for bugs and found tons of dust. If you a looking for a nights sleep with close proximity to Shenandoah NP and the Blue Ridge Parkway, this will be fine. Stayed here after a day of driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and was heading out the next day for the Shenandoah National Park Skyline Drive. Fairly easy to get to and close to a lot of restaurants (both national chains and local spots). No problems at all.

The staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable. The room and the pool were OK but need updating. We came specifically for the outdoor pool and found it adequate. Great view from the pool.

This place reminded me of the kinds of motels we would stay in when I was a kid in the late 1960s however it has been updated to meet the needs of the 21st century traveler. I had a clean comfortable room and was able to get a good nights rest. If you're looking for something less expensive and still have a nice room this Days Inn is worth a look.

This motel is huge and is very, very busy. When my mother and I arrived, we checked out the room but then walked down the long hall to find the ice. When we got back to the room, the key did not work. It needed to be reprogrammed. Since we left our car keys in the hotel, I had to walk all the way to the lobby, leaving my elderly mother to stand outside […] of the room in the 95 degree sun. Yet to my horror, the lobby was locked! A sign on the door said the only worker in the building had to leave to help a guest and would be back shortly. when we arrived at our room we had no clue we were getting ready to see one of the biggest storms in Va. history, we had only just checked in and were standing outside looking at the beautiful mountains when it came out of no where . Dirt flying in our eyes , trees bending like I have never seen and I have seen a lot of storms. Our room was next to […] the big highway sign and the winds were . shaking those big metal poles like they were nothing . At this point everyone came out to see what was happening.Then we knew it was bad and lights were flickering on and off ,straight line winds at 90 miles per hour. everyone went in for saftey. After a long night we were the only place left for miles and miles town after town that had electricity! How I do not know . The damage was unreal , but there we were with lights , tv, water, air condition ...a big plus when its a 100 degrees and more outside! the Shoneys on the property had power as well so no problem getting food, It took a little longer but hey everyone in that town needed to eat somewhere and that was the place. The staff was awesome during the whole ordeal and the rooms filled so fast with people out of power. We met wonderful people during those 5 days . The pool was great and well kept and clean. If I ever have to go through another storm like that one the Days Inn in Waynesboro is where I want to be !!! Read more
