Overall a good experience. Food at the restaurant wasn't that special and no breakfast in bed was available. But hotel was good price and good location between Ala Moana and Waikki

Second time stay in less than a year. We love it here - close to everything. And on the 'edge' of Waikiki, so very easy to jump in our car and head off to Honolulu or the North Shore. We'll be back.

It was nice. Got bad sunburn so couldn't do a lot. Hotel provided what we needed including a free use of beach chairs, towels and a wheelchair for me when my feet were so badly burned that I couldn't walk much. Staff were gracious and our concierage, Reggie was the best ever.

While this is obviously an older but renovated luxury property, our stay was very enjoyable. We could have paid more and not received any greater benefit. Great location.

The hotel is older and not right on the beach as stated. It is the farthest away from Wakkii and the Stip. And the Beach is not right in front. Dining facilities in the hotel can be further improved. Assistance from bellboys took about 15-20 minutes, valet people are the first people to greet you but can't do much.

Loved the location ! Out of the hustle and bustle of the major part of Waikiki, but yet close enough to get to all the action. It needs an update...the public areas look great but the rooms need some remodel and clean the corners a little better. The staff at the front desk were great and always helpful. I liked the beach towels and beach chairs that were available to guests.

View is lovely, staff are professional but friendly. Enjoy the easy walk to Ala Moana park & shopping center. Also enjoy the beach walk to Waikiki. Since we arrived the problem was finding a valet, we had to carry our bags upstairs because there was a Big Sign in the Electric Stairs No bags allowed, we tried to check in, but they gave us our room until 3pm (It was 8am) It was 30 minutes until we found the Valet to keep our bags until 3pm, and he was not friendly, looked like he was doing us a favor. the chair and bedding smelled like sweaty people had been lying on it. my airconditioning unit dripped on the ground constantly. the room just had a foul odor to it. It seemed to be more for an older crowd 50 years and older. Very small pool area with not enough lounge chairs. Had to always wait for a chair.

We didn't expect much but we didn't expect a very dusty room and bathroom with moldy tile and shower. We had to perform our own plumbing to turn off the bathtub faucet and the service from personnel was the worst we had in Hawaii. We were talked into "upgrading" to an ocean front room that was really a city front room with only a view of the ocean from […] one end of the lanai. When I opened the shower door I got some silver goo all over my hand that wouldn't come off till the third good scrubbing. The concierge almost always had the "be back in 5 minutes" sign up and when they came back we waited for 40 minutes before giving up. The lobby decor was nice but the rooms were a flash back to the golden girls era with dust all over the floor boards and all over the bathroom doors. The hotel is located near Waikiki Beach and many shops. The reason I didn't rate the hotel higher is because the shower is a little run down and has a shower curtain, no tub and the water pressure was weak. The sink back-uped and there is NO dresser space which was inconvenient because we had to live out of our suit cases. We had a kitchen which was […] nice and they provided plates, cups and a few cooking essentials. Unfortunately our room faced East and you couldn't open the curtains or sit on the balcony during the day because it was just too bright and hot. It was very nice in the evening though and you could see the HIlton's firework show next door. This hotel has a great location, but is showing it's age. The pool is very small and the amenities are sparse compared to other hotels in Waikiki. The positives are it's location to the beach, lagoon, and Ala Moana. Walking along the beach gives great access to all the hotels, and puts you in easy reach of International Marketplace.

We had a beautiful room with a fantastic view. The room was spacious and comfortable with a full kitchen and wall to ceiling window for the entire wall facing the ocean -- lovely balcony. The only minor issue was waiting for the bellman with our luggage when we left -- but that was a minor issue. Over all we loved our stay at the Ilikai.

We've stayed here before - very enjoyable. Great Views. The pillows could use some work, and the rooms could use some updating...but nothing major. Dinner at Sorrento's was great - but remember to tell them up front that you are a hotel guest if you want the 15% discount...they gave ma a hard time and only gave me 10% back.

Ilikai is semi-convenient even though it's at the end of the strip. It's right next to the Modern Hotel which is nice if you would like to go to a nice bar. There are some restaurants close to the area and walking distance to the ala moana mall which makes it an ideal hotel that's not too busy, yet close enough for shopping

The room was large and comfortable- well-maintained - and the view was terrific. We really love the blended retro/modern vibe and being on the outer edge of the Waikiki scene. Good surfing nearby and nice beaches to hang out on . This is the hotel we prefer to stay in and it looks like they've continued to upgrade some things the past few years.

Had great time at the Ilikai, would recommend to couples, for a great value. Closed to beach and restaurants. Hotel was clean, staff very friendly. Outside bar, nightly music and cheap drinks, compared to most hotels in area, will stay at the Ilikia next year for sure. Alot of bang for your buck!

Our king size suite was very spacious. The walk to the beach was far because you have to walk around the Hilton's lagoon. To find an area where the water wasn't so close to the boats was an even longer walk. If you want to be close to the beach and shops and restaurants, this hotel was not the place. Otherwise, the hotel experience was wonderful.

Staff was friendly. The room was large and clean. My only complaint with the room was that the inner bathroom was dark, with the shower and toilet smelled moldy and I could see mold on the back of the bathroom door. The shower/tub in the outer bathroom was OK. I would have given a higher rating if the bathroom wasn't moldy.
