We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

comfy bed, nice bathroom, great staff at front desk, wireless access easy, computer in Lobby new and rapid. Parking garage reasonable rate. Great spot nearby:EatIly--check it out for restaurants and goodies to bring home. Only improvement that could be made is quality of towels.
Location.
Situated in Morristown, Westin Governor Morris is in the suburbs and close to Acorn Hall, Washington's Headquarters Museum, and Morris Museum. Also nearby are Frelinghuysen Arboretum and Morristown Memorial Hospital.

Westin Governor Morris has a health club, an outdoor pool, and a fitness facility. This hotel was fantastic. The linens and bathroom were super clean. I was in town for a gaming convention and I needed to heat up food that I bought from a resturant I'm town. The concierge was nice enough to have or of the staff bring a microwave to my room. It was a lovely touch on an already great stay.

This hotel is amazing. The hotel itself is stunning. The staff was totally on it. The resturaunt was delicious. They will pick you up and drop you off anywhere within a five mile radius. The bed was heavenly. Just a perfect experience. I will always stay there when I'm in Morristown NJ.
"Luxury from the moment you walk in the door"
I have stayed at this hotel many times for business and most recently with my family. The staff is ultra courteous and responsive at all times. The hotel is lovely and has that alluring Westin smell the moment you walk in the door. I could not recommend this hotel due to the fact that while we were in our room a stranger entered, having been mistakenly given a key card by the front desk. This kind of mistake is really unacceptable.
"Governor Morris"
I stayed at this hotel for a wedding weekend. I booked a king sized bed room and it was extremely small. My guest and I were constantly bumping into each other. The bathrooms were even smaller and had zero privacy. When I closed the main door it somehow triggered the dead bolt lock and my guest was locked out of the door and a bell hop had to break […] down the door to get her back in the room(she almost missed the shuttle to the wedding). The bar was very fun however it closed very early even when the wedding guests would have produced a large sum of money they would not keep it open past 1am and were kicking people out of the restaurant. We had a rehearsal dinner in the hotel and the room was not air conditioned, people were literally dripping sweat and the staff (who barely spoke English) just mumbled responses and did not nothing to solve the problem. The air conditioning was obviously broken. I feel bad for the parents of the groom who paid tons of money on this party and it was unbearable due to the lack of air. "Missing the mark"
Room was comfortable but very small. Bathroom was tiny. The Westin touches were very nice, but this is an out of date and tired building that will keep me from coming back. Very dark and institutional. The rate I paid was comparable to the other business hotels in the market, but I did not feel it was a good value. The restaurant was a huge disappointment. […] The dinner menu was indecipherable and the food overpriced for the location. As there was only one restaurant in this huge hotel (and no restaurants nearby) a more accessible menu would have been nice. Thank goodness there is a bar menu with one sandwich on it. This hotel was wonderful. I am allowed our corporate rate, but found the rate was cheaper through hotels. com by 30.00. I love the Westin bed! Our stay was terrific.

"Very Nice Aesthetics"
The overall style and look of the hotel is very nice. I think the upkeep was a little lacking. For example, a recent paint job left paint drippings on the shower tile and mirror. Other than a few little things like that, it was nice. The food is fantastic, by the way. The restaurant is excellent.

"a beautiful contemporary looking hotel!"
We took a night away from the world and went to this hotel. the "look" is fabulous, the great relations couldn't have been more accommodating - traveled the world and this was on the tops for customer service. Only downpoint.. no fridges in the rooms and not enough pillows, altho they will bring as many as you wish..
"Not what I expect of a Westin"
With the exception of the lobby, the hotel looks like a redone Holiday Inn. Rooms are bland at best and the bathrooms are cramped. I'm a fan of Starwood properties for the most part so this was a truly disappointing experience. Also - the snacks in my room were half eaten and not by me.

I lived in Morristown many years ago and was surprised and greatly pleased to see the amazing renovation of this stately hotel. It's lobby is so welcoming and comfortable. Lovely hotel. Extremely accommodating staff. Sliding bathroom door surprisingly difficult to open and close, which made for a small but pervasive annoyance. Fitness equipment needs some regular maintenance. I would stay here again.

"Perfect Loacation"
Hotel was comfortable and clean and perfectly located. Just outside the center square of Morristown. Only issue was the bathroom. The door was a sliding door that you would normally find on a closet. Bathroom itself was nice but not very private becasue the door didnt shut flush.

"Needs improvement"
For a hotel in a somewhat upscale are, the physical features could use some updating. Although the room was comfortable and the bedding plush, the interior paint was peeling and the carpeting was dingy and felt in need of a shampooing. Bathroom lighting was dim, and mirrors too high up and far away to use- putting on makeup or doing one's hair was challenging. HVAC […] system faulty, kept cycling on and off, so the room was alternately freezing or stifling, so I kept waking up cold or sweating. Front desk was OK, but not that friendly, and I found the housekeeping staff sitting around in the workout room, just looking at me. Several times I encountered hotel staff in the elevators, and I found them to be somewhat hostile, like I was in their way- one was delivering room service and I held the elevator for her to get off at her floor and she didn't even look at me or thank me! Who's working here, anyway? And who's the guest? Banquet staff had the same attitude. I will not return to this hotel- was very disappointed. Read more

I booked a traditional King bed room, but when I checked in all the king beds were gone and they only had traditional queen bed rooms. I was a bit disappointed but right then and there the friendly staff gave me an upgrade to a one bedroom suite. I thought this was a single incident where that particular staff was kind. The next day, I had to run to […] a convenient store and asked a door person which way the store is. He kindly offered to make the run for me and got me what I needed in few minutes. That's what I call service. The lobby of the hotel is pretty up to date, the rooms are a bit dated.. Without the service, I would've rated this hotel maybe 3 stars.. but the staffs make this hotel memorable and a place I will recommend a visit again. Read more
"Beautiful Hotel"
The appearance and cleanliness of the hotel and the room itself were definately 4* but the $12.95 internet connection fee was unacceptable to us. When you are able to stay at most 3* hotels for equal to or less money and receive free internet service in the room and at least a continental breakfast we were disappointed with the Westin Governor Morris […] for these reasons. The hotel is in a lovely area but you need a car to get to the nearest town or city. They do have a shuttle bus they stop picking up at 9:00pm. If you have a car it is only a 2 mile drive to the train station which has adequate parking for $6.00 a day which made it gteat for us as we traveled into NYC two days in a row. For a 4 star hotel, the bathroom is smaller than a 2 star hotel. There are no facial tissues in the room, I have to use toilet paper after eating.
"Disgrace / Discrimination / Accusations"
This past weekend my family and I anticipated a wonderful weekend away. Apparently there was an issue with a table from the staff area missing and so the hotels manager and security staff made it as if it was a huge crime that had been committed. My wife and I were accused of taking the table and that if we did not return it that we would be charged […] to our room. This issue didn’t end here. The next evening, the manager had called the police to investigate this dumb accusation. Luckily I was not alone in this issue, they apparently had accused a few other people staying there and had the cops try to resolve the issue. The thing is that the table had already turned up sometime that day and still this manager insisted on calling down the cops. The end result was a bunch of dissatisfied guests and the cops walked away mumbling to themselves "they called us down for a table?!?!?". Read more

"A nice experience"
July 6, 2009 We were very pleased to be greeted in a friendly yet professional fashion and the experience stayed on that same level the entire time. The room was clean and well appointed for the summer in lovely white linens, the bath, although a bit snug, was attractive and the setting was quiet(perfect). We used few of the facilities but did see several […] guests using the gym. Seemingly, they draw many guests from the business arena and that's understandable as it is within minutes to Route 287 but that secret remains hidden by the quiet of the neighborhood. Read more

We were very impressed with the Westin. A Grand Hotel in a beautiful part of the world. Quite the delighhtful night away after spending 2 nights in NY. As part of a larger trip touring Florida, New York and New Jersey in 10 days we really found this to be very enjoyable. Only minor problem was that the shower head needed some maintenance (it was coming […] out of the wall?) but when we brought this to the attention of hotel staff at check out (it was not enough of an issue to mention before!) they were all too helpful and kind. Having travelled a lot and needing a break from family this really hit the spot. We enjoyed fantastic steaks as piping hot room service and the room was incredibly spacious allowing us to set up our travel cot for our 9 month old daughter. The staff were lovely, courteous and could not do enough for us. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and will be back again for sure! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Read more
