The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The bed was clean and comfortable. The carpet by the bathroom door was frayed and the door lock moved sluggishly--but did lock. Poor selection of television stations.

The orange juice machine at the breakfast was broken for the two days in a row we staid there. The staff in the breakfast room was very rude. On the first night, two customers had an argument that lasted hours and nothing was done from the hotel to calm them down.

The first 2 nights were spent in a room next to the ice machine which constantly made noise throughout the night. The manager was very nice and friendly and moved me to a quieter location. That new room had a serious water leak from the shower being used above which leaked through the light fixture in the ceiling of my bathroom. I left a note in the […] bathroom before I left. I am used to a softer bed, so sleeping wasn't the best for me. The breakfast spread was pretty impressive. When you see "continental breakfast" you kind of expect orange juice, coffee and stale danishes. They had a selection of fresh & hot items.

It was the worst hotel i've ever been to in my life. The room smelled like smoke, and it was dirty and dingy. I felt unsafe in the neighbourhood and felt like I was in the ghetto.

Quality Inn, the name SHOULD say it all. But far this one was far from it. I stayed there while moving my son to Sarasota. This was an older hotel. Upon arrival, my room was dirty, had only 2 hand towels, no refridgerator (avertised that the rooms all had one) and the toilet leaked and ran every minute and a half. The Free continental breakfast was […] also very disapointing. The scrambled eggs were hard, one of the juice dispensers was inoperative during my whole stay, and on Saturday morning it was like there was no one working the area. No coffee, no eggs, no waffle mix, no coffee creamer. You are better off going to a diner. They did give me another room. But it was still not up to a national chain standard. The Free WiFi was almost non-existant. I was actually getting connected to WiFi from the neighboring hotel! If I have to stay in the area again, I will go elsewhere. Read more

First room offered was extremely smelly and damp. No major issue changing rooms, however hotel barely full and given upstairs room, no lifts in property. Pool full of debris (leaves), limited seating.

It was the worst place I have ever incountered. When we arrived we were told they had given our room to someone else. It was downhill from there. The rooms were old (which I wouldn't mind if they were clean) We stayed two nights and we decided we were moving no matter what. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The receptionists were friendly and the room was clean. I was annoyed with the fact that I could hear every single bump and clank from the room above and behind mine. There was only an option for a a black out shade so lighting was either natural sun with zero privacy or the dim yellow lights next to the bed and/or the fluorescent vanity lights. I would not recommend this hotel for an extended stay in Sarasota. But, are there for a short visit, or have an early flight out, then it is quite convenient. I left my room at 8:30 and was at my gate at 8:55, and this included dropping off a rental car. Staff was nice. Essentially, this hotel is good for what it is.....an economy hotel.

In an area that thinks pretty highly of their hotel rooms and prices them as such, this hotel was just fine and close to where we needed to be for our event. It was pretty quiet and the staff was very friendly on check-in. We would stay there again no problem.

The towels were thin. Had to move an armoire to plug in a computer or sit by the bathroom sink to use the outlet there. Breakfast was poor. Usually I have had positive stays at other Quality Inn locations, however this location was okay at check-in but nothing special after that. The one item that will make me not stay there again was the failure of the front desk to have a poor running toilet looked at. It was reported immediately on Sunday night and no one came to look at it, no offer […] for a new room, and absolutely no follow-up. When I checked out the following morning, the front desk did not even express any remorse or concern about it. Another issue is failing to confirm the hours of morning breakfast. We went on our 25 aniversiry to sarasota and stay at this hotel, near anamaria , longboat key, siesta key beaches, museums,and acuariums. I loved the place, nice, clean, good service, breakfast before 9 am, and quite. No complaint. Enjoyed my stay here. Going back next month.

The room was clean, but hotel needs to improve service. 3 towels, 2 handtowels & 2 washcloths in room w/ 2 dbl beds, 4 indicated on reservation. Clock in room was set 20 minutes late, so we arrived at breakfast at 8:20, which we thought was 8:00. They did not replenish bagels, fresh fruit, donuts, slices of bread for toast. When we complained, the desk […] clerk told us that once it's gone, it's gone. Fortunately someone else complained & the clerk decided to get out a box of frozen Entenmann donuts. Main lobby closes early, so no access to computer or fresh coffee. Pool area, you need to walk over a large plywood floor & the shower head for rinsing off has its faucet at the top of tfhe shower head, which is 6 feet off the ground. I couldn't reach it. I would describe this place as shabby for the following reasons: many cigarette burns in the bedcovers & carpets, missing bolt off the toilet seat, really had to yank hard on tub faucet to get water to run full pressure, no pool towels available, hair dryer in room had the plastic on the rim of the heater burned, & the bottom of the tub looked as if it needed a good bleaching to be white. I'm sure we are not the only travelers who go to the sand beaches nearby, but the drain in the tub could not accomodate the sand from our bodies as we bathed, We had to wipe out the tub with paper after each adult showered. We had to call the hotel the afternoon of check out to inquire if we left something in the room & were told to call back after 11:00 the next morning because "I don't have any way to check the housekeeping room".
