Your location is excellent. I attended an exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight and it was very easy to go from the hotel to the exhibition. Shopping was also convenient. My only suggestion is about your food. It is only average.

We found this hotel on expedia and the location was fine. Unfortunately the person staying in the hotel before us must have had bad body odor because that's what the room smelled like! I booked the hotel based on a Hotels.com review, which was right on the mark. The hotel is next door to the Daichi hotel, but cheaper - the rooms and service are the same. The airport bus drops you off on the road between the 2 versions of the hotel. Location is excellent. 5 min walk to the Ginza, restaurants all over the place.

there used to be a small super market near by , but it is closed now. there is no place to get fresh fruit and sweet except Seven Eleven which does not carry fruit and cakes. No place to eat at evening for a woman but a lot of drinking places. I'll look for other hotels for his reason.

Better than expected, room was much more spacious and comfortable than other similar priced hotels in Tokyo. Clean room and nice amenities. Very easily reached by Main Tokyo train station, via subway or JR metro to Shinbashi station. Very quiet despite being right next to the tracks.

Everyone has different priorities when it comes to hotel, but if yours are similar to mine, my recommendation will work for you. #1. Accessibility: This means proximity to JR/Metro stations & how many JR/Metro line that the station has access to. Dai-Ichi Annex is right next to Shimbashi station which means access to JR Yamanote & Chuo lines AND Tokyo […] Metro Ginza & Asakusa lines AND Yurikamome line to Odaiba This means you can get to major section of the city (Tokyo station, Ginza, Yurakcho, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Roppongi) WITHOUT transferring. The only station with better accessibility is Tokyo station where hotels costs $300+ min per night. #2. Location: From the hotel, here are great places you can get to on foot - Ginza Chuo-dori (5 min walk), Yurak-Cho (5 min walk), Tokyo station & imperial palace (20 min walk). Amenities near the hotels are fantastic - there were at least 5 convenience stores nearby and too-many-to-count beer places where you can get cheap and great beer and Japanese night snacks #3. Bathroom: The bathroom size was good. I was impressed with bathtub which was big enough for a big guy. The tub is clean and comes with two shower heads (one fixed and one flexible). Water pressure was fantastic. This hotel aims somewhere near New-Otani level (4 stars) but falls a bit short in terms of room upkeep & decor; however, location and accessibility make up the short-fall more than enough. I spent ~$200 per night which I thought was a really good value for money. Read more

It takes me 3 mins walk to Train Station that I can go everywhere I want to while it only takes 30 mins by Mono-rail to the Haneda Airport. Pay for comfort but not for facilities which on a business trip are not really used. The proximity to the railway tracks does create some low decibel nuisance especially late evening or early morning when the neighbourhood is quiet. Overall though I would stay here again given the convenience of the location.

The location is excellent, being 10 mins' walk from Ginza and 5 mins walk to Shimbashi Station. The breakfast is over priced but typical of hotel prices. There are a number of places near Shimbashi with cafe's or kiosks selling breakfast items.

Having stayed at the Da Ichi at Shimbashi last year, we assumed the Annex would be as nice. We were very surprised to find a much different experience compared to the main hotel. Cleanliness of the room was certainly an issue. The heat on constantly making the room much too warm in the evening another.
