"Not a bad place to stay"
The cost and distance to the hospital we were going to for tests was the main selling points for this hotel. I was a bit nervous from reading all of the negative reviews, but honestly, those must be people that are used to staying at $200/night hotels. The main downsides were the toilet being annoying to flush, you have to hold the handle for a bit […] for it to actually flush. The other being a lack of electrical outlets. And the some of the outlets that were in the room were in need of replacement. The plugs would fall out of the sockets because they were loose. The lack of outlets was overcome by taking a couple of power bars. A lot of people complain about the WiFi being weak. Our signal was great. It was powerful enough that I was able to connect my PS3 to use Netflix with no problems or lags. There really isn't much to say about the surrounding area. It's in a business area and right off of North Stemmons Freeway but this gives you access to get around and there are several restaurants within 10 minutes. "easy on to freeway"

The rooms were clean, they could of used an update. The bathroom was small, no fan in the shower causing the paint to crack and peel. The tissue hold was broken, and the plugs wouldn't stay in the plug ins, they kept falling out. U defently got what u paid for. We have stayed here twice now. This is an older motel, but they will do everything in their power to assist you. They also have a breakfast with warm food! Our room was not ready at 7:30 pm, our bed choice was not honored, and the room and entire floor were dirty. When we complained, we were told that there were no other rooms. "Less then satisfactory stay even for this price"
My goal with choosing this hotel was to find a budget hotel for a short stay in the Dallas area. Upon arrival at the hotel at 3:30pm, I was told that no rooms were available yet despite the published check-in time of 3pm. As I waited in the lobby with a floor covered with an assortment of trash, other people were met with the similar response. After […] 15 minutes of waiting, I was told that only a smoking room was available for the rest of the evening despite my reservation for a nonsmoking room. I was told that I could go elsewhere, but there were likely no other rooms available at other hotels. Sydnee and Tara who were working the front desk were terribly unhelpful. Sydnee especially was less then sympathetic when I clarified the definition of a reservation. We tried to minimize the time in the hotel from that point onwards. Horrible experience from the moment we walked in the door!! Rude, unfriendly and very unpleasant and unprofessional staff!! Would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!! All I want as a business traveler is a quiet, safe, conveniently located motel that is reasonable priced and this place fits. I do trade shows all over the U.S. and pay my own expenses, so I do not stay in the big hotels downtown that charge 200 to 300 per night. I drive everywhere so a ten minute drive to downtown is fine to save 150 to 250 per night. […] This place is easy to find and get to from downtown and seems safe because you see old folks walking on sidewalks after dark, and many elderly stay here.
