I chose this hotel by location/price/restaurant. My main criteria was restaurant because I did not have a car. Website shows hotel has restaurant. It doesn't. And there is nothing next door. We do have it on the Ramada website that the restaurant is closed for restructuring and renovations. It has been on there for over a month now. As a rule, we do not go to different restaurants due to the schedule that our shuttle already has. You also mentioned about the desk clerk not mentioning to you the Ramada Mini Mart and I will be working with the front desk to get that corrected. We paid 50 dollars a night for this hotel and it was decent for the price. The room was clean, it was within 4 miles of anything we wanted to do, and the staff was friendly. Roy was working the front desk and he was very friendly and helpful. Our last day, we were waiting on our ride in the lobby and Roy was extremely friendly to every guest he spoke […] to. Even though we were never up early enough to eat breakfast they did offer hot food which included eggs and waffles. This is not what I would consider a nice hotel. "Dirty hotel with poor customer service"
I was greeted by an extremely rude woman behind the desk and it was all down hill from there. The hotel is extremely dirty and smells horrible. There were several water stains throughout the hotel, cigarette/pet odors, mildew, and a clogged sink...just to name a few concerns. The breakfast was disgusting. What a rediculous representation of a hotel to unsuspecting buyers. Ramada should be embarrassed. I was skeptical about sketchy characters hanging around, but all it took was for me to walk up to the main entrance and there they were, pretty sure prostitution is illegal in Texas, and drug use. I was not comfortable and made sure all locks were functional […] in my room before I laid down for the night. As promised, but not delivered, were a lounge and restaurant, vending machines were empty, staff unaccomodating. My biggest issue is that when I called the Hotel to make my reservation and asked if they had a shuttle to the airport, they said yes. When I asked what time it started they told me 5;45am. That was great. What they did not tell me was that after the 5:45am run the next 2 were not available because they have contract guest that they commit the next […] to shuttles to. So no room for me. We have used Hotels.com to book all of our travel needs and this is the first time we have ever had the hotel charge us the full price for the room rate. "Unacceptable Customer Service"
Upon arrival, we inquired at the front desk about the free airport shuttle service provided by the hotel. We spoke to the day manager (we did not get her name) and she asked us what time we needed to leave the hotel? We told her 8:30 a.m. She hesitated, then told us 8:30 a.m. would not work for the shuttle driver. She then quickly corrected herself […] and told us 8:30 a.m. would be fine. She told us we needed to be downstairs in the lobby area by 8:30 a.m. The next morning at 8:00 a.m. we received a telephone call from the same day manager. She inquired if we still needed an airport shuttle? I said yes. She then told me we were supposed to be downstairs in the lobby area by 8:00 a.m.I told her the agreement was to meet downstairs at 8:30 a.m. She told me she had us down to leave at 8:00 a.m. We did not appreciate having to rush downstairs to catch the shuttle at the last minute. Upon returning from our trip 2 days later at approximately 8:15 p.m. we called the telephone number listed on the Ramada Hotel business card provided to us by the day manager. I spoke to a female employee (her name sounded like Jennifer) and I explained we would like the shuttle van to pick us up at the airport. She said the shuttle driver was out picking up someone and should be heading back to the hotel soon. She said when the driver returned she would give him my number and he would call me letting me know when he could pick us up at the airport. We waited 30 minutes and never received a call. My wife and I are easy going and find it difficult to criticize any person or facility, but Ramada Dallas Love Field leaves us no choice - Never again will we stay in this motel. To describe it in a few words - Run down, smelly, rude staff, clogged drains. On checking in we used a luggage cart to move our effects to our room. "Not a bad place to stay"
The cost and distance to the hospital we were going to for tests was the main selling points for this hotel. I was a bit nervous from reading all of the negative reviews, but honestly, those must be people that are used to staying at $200/night hotels. The main downsides were the toilet being annoying to flush, you have to hold the handle for a bit […] for it to actually flush. The other being a lack of electrical outlets. And the some of the outlets that were in the room were in need of replacement. The plugs would fall out of the sockets because they were loose. The lack of outlets was overcome by taking a couple of power bars. A lot of people complain about the WiFi being weak. Our signal was great. It was powerful enough that I was able to connect my PS3 to use Netflix with no problems or lags. There really isn't much to say about the surrounding area. It's in a business area and right off of North Stemmons Freeway but this gives you access to get around and there are several restaurants within 10 minutes. I will be passing along the information about the drivers to all of our drivers. In response to not being plug friendly, we are working on that. Being a 31 year old hotel, technology has changed so much as well as the travelers needs and we are in the process of adding items to meet that demand. Being an older hotel, it was not designed for the future travelers, but we are in the process of working on that. Our guests are very important to us and we can only improve with your comments. Our room was not ready at 7:30 pm, our bed choice was not honored, and the room and entire floor were dirty. When we complained, we were told that there were no other rooms. They did nothing to accommodate us. We prepaid for this room well in advance. Will never stay there again nor will we recommend it to anyone else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I DID NOT stay in this hotel because it was absolutely horrible. This hotel had very poor accommodations and once I walked into the room the the air conditioning unit was on and it was blowing air that was so powerfully fragrant with mildew that my throat began to burn and my eyes instantly started watering. I thought twice about checking in, but it was already paid for so I did. Staff was nice. Hotel was run down and a lot of riff raff roaming around. My wife and I took our grandson to see his first OU/Texas Football game at the Cotton Bowl on October 14, 2013. We selected Ramada for its reputation. But we were very disappointed. If we had known that a pep group of students from the University of Texas were staying there we would have relocated. "Less then satisfactory stay even for this price"
My goal with choosing this hotel was to find a budget hotel for a short stay in the Dallas area. Upon arrival at the hotel at 3:30pm, I was told that no rooms were available yet despite the published check-in time of 3pm. As I waited in the lobby with a floor covered with an assortment of trash, other people were met with the similar response. After […] 15 minutes of waiting, I was told that only a smoking room was available for the rest of the evening despite my reservation for a nonsmoking room. I was told that I could go elsewhere, but there were likely no other rooms available at other hotels. Sydnee and Tara who were working the front desk were terribly unhelpful. Sydnee especially was less then sympathetic when I clarified the definition of a reservation. We tried to minimize the time in the hotel from that point onwards.
