"Perfect Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!
"Perfection in Old Montreal"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.
"Comfortable & Convenient"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
Very comfortable room; close to airport - which is what I wanted.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 1, 2012
Room was good - a great value for the price! Just a few minor complaints - TV remote didn't work; a little noisy late at night (Saturday night; we were next to the elevator). Beds: very comfortable. Pillows, not so much (overly firm). Bathroom small but clean, bath/shower good, water pressure and temperature fine. Nice pool, adequate gym. Convenient in/out parking, reduced price with hotel validation. Front desk staff: helpful and polite.

"Great location"
All was excellent except for the running shower. First time I have ever had an issue. Great spot but parking is 20 per night.
"Below acceptable"
A/C was pathetic and the toilet was inoperable......look for another hotel!
"Great experience at Novotel Montreal Centre"
Novotel was a great value for the money. Not nearly as expensive as the more posh hotels in Montreal, yet other than a plain outside and lobby, the room was beautiful, modern, comfortable and large. We loved being so close to rue St. Catherine and other rue Crescent... two of the most entertaining streets in the downtown area. It was also a quick metro […] or bike ride to other great neighborhoods like Old Montreal, the Plateau, the Latin Quarter. The bed was pretty firm, which is not my preference, but it was fine. "The Novotel Montreal Centre - close to the downtow"
This hotel provides good service and great location near downtown. The quality of room it good. However, the room is too small for 4 people and wireless is not free.
"Great location in Montreal, not the friendliest."
This hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Montreal. We parked our car on the first day and were able to walk to any of the attractions that the city offered. The front desk clerks were never very friendly, however, and it seemed that this hotel deals primarily with business people. The room was very nice, however there are not a lot of services […] offered (for example, you have to pay for parking, no breakfast, etc.). Overall, I would stay there again because the price is right and the location is very good. I just wouldn't expect a whole lot more from the hotel. Read more

"Very quiet room!"
We had a very nice stay. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was. It was close walking distance to so many downtown attractions. I loved the bed. I had a great night sleep and everything was very clean. I would stay there again.
"Great Hotel"
The Novotel is an excellent place to stay in downtown Montreal. Very clean and well kept. Service is excellent. Location is perfect. Only complaint is that you have to pay for internet in your room (only free in lobby).
"Novotel Montreal"
Rooms are a little tired but a great location.
"Great location downtown"
If you are coming to Montreal to spend time downtown near Rue Ste. Catherine and Rue Crescent, this is a great jumping off point. We were very impressed with how quiet and dark the room was at night despite the location in the heart of downtown. Plenty of great food and drink options within easy walking distance. Friendly staff.
"Hotel Novotel Montreal- Great Downtown Location"
My wife and I recently stayed at the Novotel Hotel in Montreal and loved it. The Hotel was very clean and very comfortable. It's location is perfect. Next to great shopping and dining areas. The Hotel had its own Restaurant that was also very nice. We will be staying there again in the future.

"great hotel rieght in the downtown area"
We are happy with this hotel. The price was great and I thought that because it was a 3 stars hotels we were going to find a not so good hotel. We were in for a sorprise!! The rooms were clean and well decorated and the beds were great and confortable with a good bed spread. My daughter loved the breakfast buffet. Thank you so much.
"lovely hotel"
My roommate and I (we're in our mid-20s) stayed at Novotel for a long weekend in Montreal and had a great experience. There's free Wifi in the lobby, which was helpful, though we also chose to connect in our room. They charge both for internet and parking, which I expected in Montreal. Our room was clean and comfortable; no problems at all. Last time […] I stayed at another hotel in Montreal, there was valet parking, but Novotel lets you park your own car, which I consider a big plus. Guests seemed to cover all ages, so I wouldn't say it's a "party" or "families only" hotel. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly, and was more than willing to help us with directions and places to visit. They definitely helped make our trip even more memorable. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. Read more

"Nice hotel and good location!"
Great stay here, the location is good and the hotel was very clean. Check-in and check-out were both very easy. I was very impressed and will definitely stay here again. Also, the elevator is locked at night and can only be accessed by keycard, I thought this was a great safety feature and I felt very safe at this hotel overall.
"Hotel Novotel in Montreal"

"Novotel"
Dirty, run down, no valet parking , no bellboy , terrible parking structure . ..! Aweful hotel!!
"Novotel Centre Montreal- I will be back!"
I booked this hotel after finding a deal on hotels.ca and reading all the great reviews of the place. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and we never had a complaint. We got a Superiour King room and it was beautiful, clean, and modern. The bed was huge and was really comfy. There was also a pull-out couch in the room which we didn't use but […] we thought was a nice touch. The hotel is walking distance to all of the sights of Montreal. We walked all around the city over the 3 days, the weather was also gorgeous. There was an important Montreal Canadians hockey game happening next door at the Bell Centre on the 2nd night of our stay and I was worried that it would be too loud to sleep, but it was not. We didn't hear a peep! One of the nicest things about the location of the hotel is that it is right near tons of nightlife. Cresent Street is right behind the hotel which has wonderful restaurants and micro-breweries. St. Catherine Street is a 2 min walk from the hotel, it has tons of shops and restaurants (reminded me of Yorkville in Toronto). A few blocks over on Mackay St. is a Jazz Bar called UPSTAIRS where we had a wonderful meal and evening of music and wine. We had a wonderful trip to Montreal and the hotel was the main reason for that. We paid an amazing price for a truly wonderful stay. All of the employees of Novotel were more than helpful and kind-they made us feel very comfortable in a city that we were strangers in. Read more

"Great location and very nice, moderately-priced room"
We selected this hotel because it was well located (two Metro stops from Vieux Montreal and within walking distance of the Musee des Beaux Arts) and because the rooms appeared to be neat and fairly large. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was clean, the king bed firm and comfortable, an the linens fresh and crisp. Heat and A/C, which were […] controlled by a wall thermostat, worked well. The front desk staff were all young, friendly and extremely helpful. Reasonably priced parking was available on site. A new iMac computer was available in the lobby for guest at no charge. While there were no bellmen, luggage trolleys were readily available, which could be a plus for those who prefer to transport their own stuff. We would recommend this hotel for travelers who want clean, functional, well-located lodgings and who are willing to forego some of the frills found in higher echelon (and much higher priced) hotels. "Only place we stay"
The Novotel has become the ONLY hotel we stay at when we go to Montreal. Great location, secure parking, great staff, clean rooms, and all for a great price. The only set back is no Wi-Fi in the rooms.

"Great location, great service, good value"
Spent 5 nights at the Novotel in Montreal for a conference. I could not have been more pleased with the property, the location or the friendly staff. The room was somewhat small, but nicely designed and cleaned each day to like new. I had room on the second floor and was able to use the lobby wireless for free, avoiding a $10 per day charge. Stay at […] the Novotel for half-price of the nearby Sheraton. I will certainly book again. Read more
"Great service and location"
My husband and I stayed here for two nights over the Labor Day weekend. The staff was charming, and the hotel's location was ideal. We walked St. Catherine's street and to Old Montreal. We ate at really good restaurants right in the neighborhood. The room itself was nicely decorated if a bit small, and the bed was very comfortable. I highly recommend […] this hotel. Read more

"Great Hotel Awesome Location!!!!"
This hotel had the best service! The subway is about 2 blocks from the hotel and connected to the Montreal's famous Underground City. Plenty of shopping and dining options within walking distance. If you stay here definitely check out the Irish Pub across the street the food is amazing! The is a strip of bars and clubs within walking distance as well. […] Great Hotel!!! =) Read more

"Excellent hotel for business and pleasure"
The Novotel is excellent in about every way - well-decorated and spacious rooms, super-friendly staff, and excellent location right in the heart of Montreal. Room and parking rates (with unlimited ins and outs) are very reasonable. The only possible drawback for business travelers is that wireless Internet is not offered in the rooms - they do, however, […] have wired Internet, as well as wireless in the hotel lobby. Overall very pleased with the Novotel - I would surely stay there again on future trips. Read more

"Pros: Location, Concierge; Cons: Price, Cleanliness"
The location is fantastic in downtown Montreal. The front desk spoke English and helped very much with all of our questions. It was a bit pricey in comparison to other hotels in the area and considering it wasn't a "luxury" hotel. Room could definitely have been cleaner.
"Superb experience - as usual!"
We travel frequently to Montreal, and we have tried different hotels; the Novotel is definitely the best. The staff are excellent, the room arrangement and room appointments are both unique and practical, and the hotel is immaculately maintained. We now choose this hotel for all of our trips, which are every 2-3 months.
"great location"
my daughter and I had stayed at the novotel to see a show at the bell center in montreal. The hotel is about a 2 minute walk. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The morning buffet was very good and my daughter ate for free. This was a great experience.
"Great value"
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was in a great location, very clean and reasonably priced.
"great location"
The hotel was terrific. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the hotel is just 1 block from the trendy eating area of the city. It is also within walking distance of many shops and bars. I plan to stay there again.
"Fantastic Hotel for the money!"
My boyfriend and I stayed here with another couple and the Novotel far exceeded our expectations! The hotel itself is very nice and the service we received was phenomenal! We can't thank Christine and Maria at the front desk enough! They were so helpful after our car was stolen (from the Biodome - NOT from the Novotel) and did whatever they could to […] make sure we had everything we needed. If we ever return, we would stay at the Novotel again in a heartbeat and would recommend it to anyone staying in Montreal. Read more
"The hotel was okay for the money"
The hotel was what we expected for the money. We weren't happy with the following, although they were minor: 1) Only 1 computer to use in the lobby and there was always someone using it. 2) Always a line at the front desk. 3) Bathroom shower stall was odd. It seems like the door to the shower was on the wrong end. THere was no shelf to put soap or shampoo. […] You had to leave it on the floor of the shower. 4) Parking garage was small and not owned by the hotel. If you paid for parking and come back to the hotel late, there is no guarantee of a spot and you are out of luck. One night we got the last spot and after that we never took the car out again. It's espcially packed on the weekends so beware. Read more
"Great Stay"
We had a blast, like our recent stay at the Novotel in Lisbon, they remain consistent interms of service and quality. Great value for the money, central location, the metro is close, parking is very close and we were able to find a spot on the street to tide us over for the weekend. I had some reservations initially because we tend to stay in Old Montreal […] but we were warmly welcomed and happy to be in the micx of things. We highly recommend this location overall. Read more
"Needs to Modernize"
With todays technology they do not have wireless internet connection in your room. This is a most today. I would not stay there again.

"Great Location!"
