I truly was looking forward to going to this hotel after working a hard week, I needed the break. Before arriving at the hotel, my aggravation began. The bridge leading to the island was out and I was never told about this, necessitating an over five mile detour....When I got to the hotel the room wasn't ready, OK I got there at noon so we went out […] and explored the area. Don't go too far, or you wind up in a VERY BAD neighborhood on the other side of the bridge, my girlfriend called it "Creepytown". When we finally got to our room the "Ocean View" that I paid extra for and was promised, was obscured by palm trees and the only view other than the trees you had to lean over the balcony. Parking is 28 dollars a day, Internet 9.50...Come on guys at this price point, this should be included, it was at other hotels I have stayed with at one tenth of the price.. On the second day of our stay the "adult" pool was closed in the afternoon due to an event, another thing we weren't told about. Two hamburgers and 1 piece of key lime pie 70 dollars....NOT WORTH THE MONEY...sorry but my high expectations were sucked dry....like my wallet. Read more

Gorgeous place with different places to relax looking at the beach or at the pool. The fire pit is a great place to have a drink or just sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Sundays are tough for breakfast. Staff were great & certainly lived up to the Ritz' standard. The day spa was wonderful!!! The beach was great with lots of fun things to do: banana boat tides, jet skis, Hobie car, etc. Definitely will return.

Got lost because the main bridge to get to the hotel was closed. This would have been nice to have known, especially for my wedding night. Also, I was not thrilled about the surprise bill of 30$ for valet parking for one time. Valet parking was the only option.

The service was excellent. The concierge was fabulous. Poolside service and Breeze restaurant--fabulous. The Temple Orange restaurant was disappointing both times we ate dinner there. There's […] not much to do close-by, so if you don't have a car be prepared to pay $40 each way into Del Ray Beach or to Worth Avenue for dining and shopping. EXPENSIVE: yes very- a 12oz water was $4, regular kit kat choc bar $4, small champagne bottle $60..... VALET parking only and tip-ing is EVERY EVERY time as courtesy, but the Ritz does charge you $28 per day + tips... Pool: AWESOME, EXEPTIONAL, GREAT, CLEAN, NOT CROWDED, SUPERB!! We had a very nice room on the ground floor with a patio, just around the corner from one of the pools. The staff is very friendly, the fitness center is one of the best we've had in a hotel, and we enjoyed the fact that we could rent a Wave-Runner to take out into the ocean. The grounds are lovely. The staff is very nice. But, overall, the experieince was not so great. Mainly due to the food (which was just not good -especially from room service), the restrictions placed on certain areas of the hotel because they were being used for a private party, and the other guests (which generally I know the hotel can't control). […] I experienced rudeness from other guests who were not satisfied with the seat selection near the seawall and then witnessed it later from the same guests with other people. The hotel staff tried to accomdate the complainers, which imposed on others and just made the situation worse, because now there was barely room to move after they jammed extra chairs into the space that the complainers wanted to occupy. The food at Orange Temple was good and tasty. The fire pit area was closed off for a private party, which was disappointing. The room service food was really very bad. And it just bears mentioning that it is really a little over the top to charge $5 for a glass of coke that is mostly ice. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and resorts and travel routinely for business. This was just not worth the money and I doubt I will consider staying here again. Read more

Our room had a balcony with a view of the beach and caught the soft sea breezes in the evenings. For a five star hotel and the amount they charge, I expected more. Had lunch at Breeze and paid $50, for each lunch. Just salads and 1 frozen drink. The grounds could be a bit nicer. Our room was cleaned "at". We moved the couch and found all kinds of dirt and junk under it. The carpet in the hotel was very dirty. Lastly, the business center was the […] worst. There were only 2 pc's and printers and one printer never worked. They did not have any paper or pens/pencils available. The pc's were mac's and had old versions of microsoft apps. Certainly meets the standard of any Ritz. High quality and great service. Beach is not very good and not very walkable, but pool areas make up for it. Location is 15 minutes south of Palm Beach Worth Avenue area, so it is isolated.
