I was doing a one night stopover in LAX on my way home from US. This hotel was somewhere I would love to stay longer. Great gym spa and pool facilities. The entrance takes you to another world as you enter a grand atrium with fish ponds and trees and fountains. Felt like at the door I had been trnsported to another country. This was the loudest hotel that I have ever stayed in. We could hear airplanes roaring above, and other guests walking, jumping, talking literally all night long. We heard glass being broken outside our window in the middle of the night. There was a bullet hole in our window! I would not stay here again.

It was a short layover after missing a flight. I was releived when we checked in to find this Hotel to be very nice. It is close to LAX about 15 min. The suite was spacious, very Clean and modern with two Large flat screen TV's. It was late when we arrived 10:30pm so we orderd a late dinner from the on site restaurant/ lounge and it was really good. […] Make sure you get up in time for the breakfast, its worth it. Also the staff at this hotel are wonderful. They made us feel like they appreciated our business. The only down side was waiting for the airport shuttle to pick us up but the driver was very polite and professional and even apologized for the wait. I booked this to be close to teh airport and walking distance to the beach. It was a 2 mile walk which was long but worth it (and great exercise)! The hotel had a nice cocktail hour and breakfast and a shuttle to the airport....all very much appreciated.

After some initial confussion over which of their two locations in the area we arrived at a tucked away spot. As you walk into the lobby there is a pleasant sense of style and comfort. They were doing construction in the hotel. It did not say anything about construction on the Expedia website. Our family has stayed at many Embassy suites locations and we were very disappointed with LAX south. Called this location and reminded the reservations counter we would not be flying in until 11:15 pm. They said we would need to call for shuttle when we arrive. When we finally got to the hotel the bar/food at Embassy was closed. So we ordered from a […] outside pizza delivery. When we got to our room the bedroom TV was not working calling front desk for assistance they said they had no one to send up. Next morning we spoke to the manager and we were blown off. The room size is excellent, it was huge. But the room had a bad smell. The hotel overall was not clean enough, there was big dead insect in the elevator. At the breakfast there is a big line for the omelette. If it was cleaner, we wouldn't have cared about the rest, but even cleanliness has got to be improved.

We stayed here with our 15 month old and 4 year old. We really enjoyed the hotel for 3 reasons: free hot breakfast that lasted until 1030 on Saturday, indoor pool and spa for the rainy weather, and free drinks/alcoholic drinks/chips/salsa/popcorn/goldfish every night. We also were able to park for free on street across from hotel. We had no problems […] with the area regarding safety, and room service was great as well. We will definitely stay here again, especially for the price. FYI - the hotel is under renovation, so it can get noisy from 0900-1700, but we were up and gone before then. Read more

Things to know before you go: Yes, parking is $24 for overnight, free during the day, but there is street parking, you just have to walk. They also charge $10 for internet access per device per day. Although nicely decorated, it could use some basic maintenance to keep up appearances. Also the pull out couch was not comfortable. My kids ended up sleeping on the mattress on the floor. Breakfast and manager reception were pretty good for free food, but don't be afraid to ask for something a little different. The egg white omlet was much better than the original and french toast was only available from the omlet bar. There are also several restaurants near by. The hotel manager was very happy to recieve my money, but once that happened the rest of the stay was good luck see what happens. First off I am a handicapped person my vehicle would not fit in there parking garage to start with which is not there fault. But to charge me $24.00 dollars a night to park in a Handcapped parking stall. If I didn't like […] paying the $24.00 per night just park on the street. Since the hotel charges everyone to park on property there was not a parking spot within 3 blocks and if you could find a place to park with the people hanging around this business I felt it unsafe to walk. A little older building but in good shape. Not located near any other of the big name hotels. There is a Embassy suites closer to that area. There's a indoor pond with Huge Koi fish and a duck located by the hotel restaurant. Pool and fitness center on one end with the restaurant on the opposite end. Breakfast was very tasty with the made to order breakfast omelets or eggs, good variety with plenty to eat. Eat early to avoid the crowds. Hotel schuttle came quickly when called from airport. If renting a car it is easy to pull into their circle drive or into the underground parking to check in or unload. A parking charge is asessed if you park past midnight. Located 5 minutes from LAX. Very clean n comfortable room, a last minute reservation and we got what we needed. Lobby staff very nice, helpful. Only thing is they need to give you the phone number to the hotel to call for the shuttle but i was able to look it up on my phone. Will definitely stay here next time we need a room near LAX!
