My wife and I stayed at the Hilton in Auburn Hills for the first time at the end of January. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and I wanted to do a small surprise for her. I asked the front desk girl Ashley if she could put a few things together for me and have it in our room once we arrived back later. When we got back to the room, there were […] birthday banners, balloons, flowers, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and rose petals all over the room. She went above and beyond what I expected to help surprise my wife. This is the best service we have ever received at a hotel and we will be sure to come back again. I always have a great experience every time I stay there. It's close to the area's attractions and right down the road from many great restaurants. The rooms are spacious and very nice to stay in. I love the way the hotel is set up and the food is great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!

Had a wedding at Meadow Brook Hall, had five suites here which apparently was a great choice!! Suites were clean and very modern-art-deco, the staff were great!! ( Ashley, Ashley and Shannon to mention a few)...just a pleasant stay, made my life easier!! Had a little mix up but we sorted it out!! Thanks Hilton!!

Stayed at the Auburn Hills Hilton for one night as my wife and I were in town for a concert. Check-in was breeze and the room was huge with two flat screen tv's. Went to the hotel bar for dinner and the food was excellent. The burger was better than 95% of burgers you get anywhere else and my wife was also happy with what she had. A little disappointed […] that they didn't have any local draft beer but I lived. Bartender was very attentive and hooked us up with a shuttle ride to a place near the concert to save a taxi fare. Shuttle driver was prompt and very friendly. Given the lateness of the concert we didn't check out the pool or work out room. Overall, very nice hotel with very professional staff. Read more

The rooms/suites were roomy and reasonable appointed. We were in a handicapped room and the shower was not great. No light in the shower and it was difficult to regulate the water temperature. Clean semi-suite rooms. Great free Starbucks coffee in the lobby mornings. Breakfast buffet was just OK but $14 (not OK). No trash container outside so all the trash went into a small butt bin. As a smoker, did not appreciate that. Stayed at same hotel 2 years ago and returned by preference. Bottom line -- would do so again.

This hotel is very, very nice. It was very close to shopping (Great Lakes Crossings Outlet Mall) and other stores. Our suite was very large and very clean and the beds were great for sleeping. When we arrived we expected to have 2 cribs in our room for our twin babies, as I had requested earlier in the week. When they weren't in the room I called the front desk and was told that they usually have plenty of cribs but all 15 of their cribs were checked out by other guests! For a nice getaeay from the kids. Me and my beau decided to take a little road trip to Auburn Hills. While we are Michigan residents we wanted to have the feel of being out of town. We arrivved to the Hilton on a Friday at approx 2pm which I thought was pretty descent considering most you cant check in until 3pm. With that being said that was the highlight […] of our stay. The entrance is nice and they have a traditional style atrium which is huge. But when we got to our room it was very old school and not what you would expect from a Hilton. the base board around the fridge was cracked and had some like plywood nail against it but it was visible. The bedroom portion of the room had and old style TV that buzzed on channel HBO. Immediatley I decided this will not work. Contacted the front desk and they readily swamped our room (not an upgrade). But included the breakfast buffet for the following morning which was O.K. For me this hotel was substandard for a hilton and I was truly disappointed. Read more

Everyone was extremely helpful. The hotel was fully booked, and no luggage carts were available. The front desk contacted maintenance to help us with our bags from the car to the room, and everyone couldn't have been nicer. Will definitely stay again.

The receptionist at check in was not helpful. I needed a luggage cart and she blew me off. When I got to my floor, there was an empty cart just sitting there waiting to be collected and returned to the lobby. Note:my room was the thrid farthest suite on the floor. The suite's heat didn't work, the spare blanket had a hole, and the sink hot water handle […] came off in my hand on first use. I notified the front desk to fix the sink....afterward being "fixed" the handle again came off in my hand when I used it next. I went down to the desk and asked for some one to come correct the problems with the suite along with cleaning the bathroom since there was something brown splattered on the wall in th toilet area. They changed the blanket and "fixed" the sink handle (the handle now spun completely around), everything else was left the same. When I went down to use the pool and hot tub, Iwas again disappointed. The pool and hot tub both needed a good scrubbing to get rid of the grime. Complaining to the Hilton internet site after I left did nothing. I received an e-mail stating that the manager of the Hilton I stayed in would be contacting me directly to make amends for the horrible stay. That was nearly three weeks ago and I've heard nothing. I would not recommend this Hilton to anyone. Read more

We have stayed at the Hilton in Auburn Hills on several occasions. When we travel to Detroit, its the only place we stay. Clean, comfortable rooms with excellent service and quiet surroundings. The staff is friendly and takes care of us each visit. Highly recommend this hotel.

There were 6 of us and we booked a room with 2 double beds and a pull out sofa bed. The cushions on the stool and chair were black with dirt. When making the sofa bed the blanket provided had dried up stains all over it (it hadn't been washed). We asked for a replacement before we left to go shopping and were told one would be in our room when we arrived […] back. However when we arrived back to the room hours later it had not yet arrived. So I called the front desk again. We had to request more towels and toliet paper as there were only 2 towels and a half roll of toilet paper in the washroom. The carpet in the room was filthy and there were cigarette butts all over the balcony. The girls running the breakfast were fabulous and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Would not stay at this hotel again though because it wasn't very clean. Read more

It was a really nice hotel but I am surprised we had to pay for Wifi! The charge was also per computer per night which was a bit ridiculous. The pool was packed with kids throwing a football around so it was not pleasant at all. They do have adult swim hrs but by then it was too late to bring the little guy around to give swimming a try.

The taps in our room fell off the sink and the hot water ran all night. The shower head sprayed all over the bathroom when used. Besides the bathroom, we were charged $8.00 for 3 phone calls where the receiver did not even pick up the phone!!!! On top of that there is currently a $45.00 charge pending on my credit card. There should never be a hold […] on someones credit card just for staying at your hotel. Wifi was $10.00 for a 24 hour period and there wasnt even a continental breakfast offered. One question if you can get back to me... how do you get your clients to return to your hotel?? It was honestly the worst Hilton experience I have ever had. Was pretty ghetto for an upscale hotel. Internet did not work in the room, furniture was not comfortable, everything in this hotel is an extra, local calls cost $0.75, internet(if it works) is $10 per day, no breakfast included. But, outside of the room, it is a nice hotel! Nice pool, nice lounge area, great staff!

Really enjoyed the comfort at the hotel. We have 2 children and having the suite with pull out sofa bed was great, because then they each had their own bed. The hot tub jets were not working and after a long day of shopping it would have been nice to soak in the hot tub. I would recommend this hotel and probably stay here again.

Room is clean and spacious. Hotel is in a good location. From the minute you walk in, you get the impression that they are doing you a favor by talking to you. Reception is chilly and customer service is lacking. Check-in process is unnecessarily tedious. The hotel contract that you have to sign is barely legible.
