I booked this hotel for a quick trip for my wife's 30th birthday. Between Trip Advisor and Hotels.com, I was convinced that this was a great hotel -- even in spite of it being more of a motel-style, which suggests it might not be so nice. I'll say it was decent, but certainly doesn't warrant the raving reviews. The room was clean, but the bathroom "area", […] I'll call it, was way too small for my wife and me to get ready simultaneously. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness were hit or miss; one was great, two others were underwhelming. The location is okay, I suppose, but it's not a simple walk to Pearl Sreet. We took taxis every time. (The Taxi Magic app was great in Boulder.) The external appearance was quite a turnoff as well, and it was quite noisy -- especially if you're on the lower floor (upstairs noise + outside noise). All told, I'd give it a '3' rating because of the nightly rates. I don't quite understand why Trip Advisor has it listed as the fourth best hotel in Boulder. Yeesh. Read more

It was a very nice, ecologically well-planned hotel. The beds were very comfortable, and the continental breakfast was delicious! The parking was tight, however, for larger vehicles. The clerk was especially helpful to me.

All of the hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and within walking distance of all the best that Boulder has to offer. Loved how eco conscious the facility was, as well as the location. On the down side, walls were thin and could hear snoring from room next door. Also, had an incident with housekeeper attempting to come into room without knocking. Kept security lock on at all times.

Our first choice for hotel whenever we stay in boulder. Walking distance to downtown. Love the commitment to being eco-friendly, and that part of our room cost goes to support the humane society. Being able to have our dog with us is perfect. Staff is always friendly.

It's clean and the staff are friendly. Because Boulder hotel rates are ridiculous, this hotel would have been half the rate anywhere else except NYC or San Francisco. They advertise queen-size beds, but they are actually full mattresses. The room is quite small.
