Over all the experience was horrible. I will never ever stay at a Days Inn again. Advertised free internet... was unable to connect to WiFi, did not support current browsers. Ceiling was bowed and falling down, wallpaper peeling from walls, personal belongings from previous guests still in room. Do Not disturb sign was posted out side room, housekeeping […] "did not see it" and came in to our room. The list is endless. Left day early and will never again stay at a Days Inn. Read more

Pittsburgh was a surprisingly attractive and fun city. Day's Inn was a 10-minute drive to PNC Park and not much farther to Schenley Park, the outer edge of our excursions. Our room was clean (excellent maid service) and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was small and not laid out well. Shower curtain wouldn't close, which resulted in soaked toilet […] paper. The Indian restaurant in the hotel was okay, Eat 'n Park, down the road, was a nice, family-style restaurant. There's also a barbeque place behind the motel (check days and hours) and an Arby's nearby. Our best meal was at Max's, on the North Shore, a German place. Breakfast at Day's was disappointing. Front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. The motel was a little tricky to get to, but once you learned the area, it was very easy to get everywhere else. Pittsburgh is easy to drive in, and parking is plentiful. Read more

When other hotels are overpriced, it's a good basic room with a microwave and fridge, but certainly not highest quality. It's what it is -- a Day's Inn close to Pittsburgh at a decent price with great front desk staff.

A few years past it's prime giving larger, more comfortable rooms than newer places, bathroom and room was updated, new flatscreens, very comfortable for longer stays. Good pool and an excellent in-house restaurant made for a good night. Of the three clerks we met, two could use some customer service training but generally service was OK.

The overall stay was ok. I went to find my 15 months old toy that went under the blanket and found bobbie pins for another guest and a piece of glass. The bathroom floor was freezing and you could see putty from them patching holes. I will definitely find another hotel when i go back in August.

Adequate accommodations for the price. Nothing to condemn it, nothing to make us return. We will look for something a little nicer next time. But if you are looking for a basic room at a reasonable price that isn't gross, this could work for you. It's OK.

Great people, great location, pretty good restaurant (if you like Indian food). We were there for 3 nights, they gave us Ethernet cable to connect our laptop to the high speed internet.

Overall the hotel was what you paid for. The two main drawbacks were the rooms were not very sound proofed and the bathroom was extremely small with the lightning being bad. The staff was very nice, however, and we had all the towels , soap, etc. we needed.

When you make a reservation, you can't find out if the area is safe, etc....we were not excited about being there. The lady at the counter was helpful, the restaurant in the hotel was Indian...you have to have a liking for Indian food...I am ok with it, my husband is not a spicey-food person. This is a low-end hotel and you know it when you get in the room. I would not encourage eating at the restaurant. Luckily I looked at the buffet before I had it. The food looked old dried out and very unappetizing. My sleep was interrupted by yelling slamming of doors and chaos from a nearby room. When this occurred in the middle the night I called […] the front desk more than once. And I was informed they give people three chances before they call the police. The following day I called several times to speak to the manager about the incident only to find that I was lied to and my calls were not returned. Every time I called the manager was there but not available and the last time I would not get off the phone when I was told the manager was no longer there. Magically the manager grabbed the phone and spoke to me finally. The person Informed me they had to look at their budget when deciding what to do about the incident the day before. That I was told I will be treated right the next time I stayed. Ironically I wanted so little out of this hotel… Only to get sleep… And they could not deliver on that the first time. Just DO NOT stay in a smoking room. We booked one by accident and it was like an underground dungeon, and smelled just as bad. Fortunately staff relocated us upstairs to a nonsmoking at our request and we have a lovely stay. The room was bright, nicely decorated, clean, and smelled fresh.

As you as you walk into the hotel there is the front desk. The girl working there was talking on her phone to a friend and never even set itdown , nor did she greet us in any way. Who works the front desk and doesn't care or even try to promote a bit of customer service?! All we got was "you got Id?" My girlfriend and I were looking forward to having a great stay at the Days Inn at Pittsburgh since we did stay in one a few months back in San Diego and it was great. From the moment I walked in to check in, I ran into a few issues with this place. The lady at the front desk was messing with her hair extensions and seemed to have an attitude problem. […] Once we enter to our so call room, they set us up at a smoking room where it stank to cigar when we had asked for a non-smoking room from the beginning. So I had to go deal with the front desk lady again and it took her at least 30 minutes for her to figure out how to change us to a non-smoking room. Once she figured it out the lady did not even tell us how to get to our room. So there we were going through a maze of stairs with heavy luggage's just to find the non-smoking room. The lady at the front desk was not professional at all, it seemed like she did not want to be there. Secondly, other from the place not having an elevator to go up and down from one floor to another, we ran into a huge issue. While trying to shower the water temperature kept shifting from warm to extremely hot and extremely cold. It was ridiculous we could not even shower at this place without dealing with the water temperature shifting. To top it all off, the few days we stayed at this place the weather was really cold. Not a good experience at this location. If I would of known this issues existed at this place, I would had stayed at another location. Read more

Stayed for 3 nights, used the room only to sleep in the night and for breakfast. Room was clean. Asked for a microwavable cup, got a reply that there was none. I was in a non-smoking room, the blanket provided had a cigarette hole. Breakfast: not many options.

Another great stay! Just as good as the previous stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were them most comfortable of any hotel stay. Quiet and convenient. It is a older hotel but well worth the stay! Great bargain!

The hotel is extremely awkwardly placed if you want to go downtown without a car. Though it appears to be an easily walkable distance, the terrain is essentially impassable in both directions. Walking north is out of the question (you'd be ON the highway), and walking south requires walking through thick weeds alongside a very busy street for quite […] a while. On the other hand, there is a bus that stops somewhat regularly across the street that will take you into downtown very quickly. Requested non-smoking room but were given smoking room. Room was in total disrepair-wall paper peeling off, stuffed chair with rips in fabric, curtain with rips, tiles off in bathroom, towel bar held up with wooden board, grout dirty. Window facing a wooded area did not fit and could not be locked. Only good thing-no bedbugs that we could find.

The first issue was that when we went to check in, the clerk could not get the keys to work, and there was 2 others trying at the same time for keys, so we were delayed over a half hour to even get into room. The people running the motel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. My room was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was cereal, fresh fruit, pastries and waffles. The only problem I had was difficulty finding the hotel and navigating the roads in that area. It would be good to use a gps.

Excellent staff - helpful and skilled, very nice room. Not much eating option near by. Rely on an Arby's and a diner. Very poor BBQ place open only on Wednesday and Sunday. Easy to reach driving. Super value for the money.
