Bars, restaurants, chic hotels and boutiques all vie for attention in the street which coined the expression ‘paparazzo’ – the surname of the photojournalist in the film. Nearby, the Spanish Steps are the place for lovers’ trysts, shopping, and honing the Italian art of ‘dolce far niente’ – idling and people-watching.

Great location. This is by no means a five-star hotel.

Great location, walking distance to many of Rome's sites. Front desk staff and concierge were very accommodating and friendly. View from the restaurant on top floor was spectacular. Housekeeping staff promptly brought additional requests to room.

We booked the hotel in part due to its representations of being a spa. When we got there and tried to use the facilities, the dry sauna was not working and the jacuzzi was cold. This hotel is certainly not worth the price we paid.

This hotel is located in an ideal location for sightseeing in Rome. The Metro is a few steps away, providing quick and easy access to most tourist sites and the train station. Within easy walking distance are the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. My room was comfortable but not as luxurious in look and feel as some others I enjoyed for a comparable or lower price.

The Bernini Bristol hotel is ideally located at the foot of the Via Veneto and Embassy Row. A subway station is right outside the door, as are cabs at all times. You could eat at a different restauant every meal for a week and never get more than 1 block away. The Concierge and Front Desk Staff speak excellent English (and offer great Italian lessons for those who try), and always have sage advice for seeing the best of Rome in whatever time you have available. If I had any criticism it would be that although our room had plenty of closet space, there were no bureaus or drawers of any type. One closet could easily have been converted to drawers. That might not be typical of all rooms, however. I travel a lot for business and do not like to live literally out of my suitcase. This is not a bargain priced hotel, but it is a great value for those who want comfort, convenience, security and excellent assistance in their visit to this fascinating city.
