Knights Inn Houston Raceway - Houston

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. There were holes in the walls, paint peeling off the walls, little or no hot water and it was not very clean. I would not recommend this place to my worst ememy.

We chose this hotel for our Houston layover. The price was good, When I chose this hotel I thought there was a free shuttle to airport, but found out when I called the desk upon landing that there was no shuttle. It was 20-25 miles away.The taxi each way was the equal to the cost of the room. And the taxi driver took credit card but then we find out […] we signed a receipt where we agreed to be charged an optional $4.50 for the service. Looked like a run-down neighborhood. The safety lock on door was broken and curtains were sagging. However, the water was hot and the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We got a good night sleep. And the young man who was at the desk was very nice. Lesson learned- make sure to read all the details when making the reservation and dont sign the taxi pass receipt that allows the driver to charge you optional extra when you use your credit card. First of all, I thought the hotel was right outside the Houston Bush airport, as it showed on the map. It was about 8 miles south. Just like anything can be on the internet, the pictures were not how the place actually looked. We were told not to park on certain sides of the hotel as they were not in camera view and something could happen. The room […] had a wierd musky smell that could have been smoke when we asked for a non smoking room. The staff was friendly and willing to help out. Our key did not work the second night and on my way to the office, the manager met me and said he saw on the camera that we were having trouble. At least they were looking out for us in this very questionable area. Next time I won't try to save a few bucks on the hotel. Read more

Not the place to stay. Booked in May for a late October stay. Requested a downstairs room but was told none were available at check in. Had a seven night stay of which two times the room was never cleaned. Only received one bath towel in the room after each cleaning and always had to go downstairs to request an additional towel, wash cloths, soap, etc. […] Never got wash cloths and was told one night they had no more towels. The third night there they changed our card key so we could not access the room and had to go downstairs late at night to get new ones. The location of this hotel is not in a very nice location. When we booked this hotel we were under the impression it was a Super 8...It used to be a Super 8 that now has a Knights Inn cloth drapped over the sign. The people who were "living" in the other rooms were super shady and thought we were cops because we had a Crown Victoria as a rental car. That is probably the only reason we werent messed with. Room had no alarm clock, staff could not be reached on room phone after 8:00pm and the lobby/office doors were locked, the bath towels were 15 X 22 inches and very thin, the chair for the desk was so rickety I had to go to the breakfast area and get a chair from a dining table. The tv worked most of the time but you only get six (6) channels. The pool […] has green water in it. The floor under the air conditioner was wet. The room smelled musty and could have used cleaning sometime in the last decade. What a total disappointment! I will never stay there again. Read more

Empezando con el Nombre es Motel super 8. esta con una manta sobrepuesta sobre el antiguo nombre, este motel es utilizado por personas que van a comprar carros viejos para traerlos a México, usan el estacionamiento como taller y como se los rentan por semana solo les hacen limpieza un dia de la semana de hay se daran cuenta la mugre que se acumula, […] a mi me asignaron el cuarto 116 llegue a las doce de la noche y el taxista solo pudo llegar por su localizador( GPS) ya que el nombre no lo conocen, esta a doce millas del aeropuerto y no tiene servicio de traslado, a la mañana que me bañe al abrir la llave me quede con ella en la mano, por tal motivo me cambiaron de habitacion (117) igual de cochina que la anterior pero esta ademas no tenia la contrachapa en la puerta o sea que un empujon y se habria, como nosotros tomariamos un crucero al caribe, pensamos en la problematica de andar buscando otro Hotel y nos resignamos a utilizar solo para dormir y bañarnos, pero con el asco de la suciedad latente. Espero que esta esperiencia me enseñe a no creer lo que ofrecen y bien saben que es un asco este Motel no vale ni 15 dolares, mas bien parece meson de indigentes Read more
