We had a stopped up toilet the very first time we flushed the toilet and it took a half hour for the desk clerk to come. Then he unplugged it and drip toilet water across the carpet to the door on his way out. The wallpaper was torn had stains on it there were cobwebs on the ceiling in the corners above our bed and there was a hole in the drywall near […] the bathroom sink that was plugged with tissue paper. The neighborhood was unsafe and we didn't feel safe even going swimming in the pool at 8 o'clock at night. It was in an area where there were no good restaurants not even an Applebee's it was all fast food and taco John's type of places. The room should've been priced at $12 a night for the stay. We stayed at this hotel on our way south. It was a perfect hotel to stay at for a short stay over. The breakfast didn't have really anythin gto eat and we did ask for a non smoking room and you could tell it used to be a smoking room. I would recommed this hotel to other guests. Loved the pool.

The room smelled like musty old smoke, had not been updated in 20+ years, and the beds were the most uncomfortable things I've ever slept in. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was quite small but we were only staying there over night so it really wasn't an issue. It was great considering how cheap our room was! We'll definitely stay there again.

The room was clean, but the neighborhood was a bit sketchy. Lots of random folks hanging out in parking lot, etc... The breakfast was a JOKE! Literally - a loaf of white bread, two old cereal choices, and some generic honeybuns. That's it! No coffee in room either. That being said, though, the room was comfortable and clean.

This isn't a five star hotel. You'll get no nice bar soap or spa-like toiletries. It's definitely no-frills. The "breakfast" is some cereal in a container, toast, little debbies, and watered down OJ. There's no gym or business center. The front desk sits behind bullet-proof glass, and I'm pretty sure some families were living there. BUT, our room was […] clean, the owners were accommodating, and the room was plenty fine for crashing at night while I was at a conference during the day. There's free WiFi and a pool which is good. It's about 10 minutes from Vanderbilt, and it was crazy cheap. And the price made up for everything else. If you want to exercise, bring some running shoes -- although the hotel sits just off of a busy street, a few blocks down away from the highway are some residential communities (on the other side of the street from the hotel), and the main drag quickly turns into a quiet residential area. I didn't feel like was missing anything, and I saved a lot of money. One note, there's some construction on I-24 on the weekends, and this may affect you if you're trying to get somewhere quickly on a Saturday morning (as of 5/2012). Read more

This was a nice little motel located in a cute area, with a Walgreens and many fast-food restaurants within walking distance. It took about 15 minutes to get from here to where we needed to go in downtown Nashville. The staff was nice enough and checking in was a breeze. As for the room, it was suitable. It switched on and off for varying amounts of time all night, and this was slightly annoying. Also the pool was closed, which I was very disappointed about considering it was mid-April. I thought it was warm enough to let the guests choose whether or not it was plausible to swim in. After all, Tennessee's Spring is much hotter than some states' Summers. But overall this was a positive experience, and at the low price this was a steal. It doesn't blow your mind like a 4 or 5 star place would, but it serves it's purpose. Very small parking space. If you have a trailer attached parking is not easy. Some mildew on the grout and the shower curtain rod wants to fall off. otherwise the attendant was very nice and friendly. Can't complain much for the price.

After staying here I now understand why the place got reviews that were all over the place. Yes, it was convenient off the freeway and not too far to downtown. Yes the room was "clean", as in no garbage and clean sheets and towels. Yes, the staff was friendly. And yes, the price was low, but beware the taxes were a full 20% of the room price. We just needed a place to sleep on the north side of Nashville. Normally I'd be afraid of a place this cheap, but it had good ratings -- and they were deserved. Simple, 1980s bedspreads (though probably newer since they were not worn), but SUPER clean bathroom, plus a microwave and little fridge.

There was visible clumps of dirt on the carpet, and the bathroom area was tiled and there was actual shampoo on the floor that hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest.
