The hotel was undegoing major renovations. Had I known that at the time of booking, I would not have stayed there. The only quality it had worth mentioning was it's proximity to the JMU Conference Center, where I needed to set up a display booth the evening of 6/19 and attend the next two days. Overall we found the hotel a little tired. It took a long time for the air conditioner to cool the room down. The pillows seemed to be past their prime and ready to be replaced. However, great location, just off the highway, and close to JMU. And the pricewas very good.

The hotel itself looked like it could use some renovations-my bathroom had some serious peeling paint, and the door stuck if closed all the way. However, I think that given the price, which was very low, a clean room with friendly desk staff in a safe location was more than adequate.

.Great location / vicinity to the college. We really only live 45 min away but since we had event at the college and had to get up early and be there at 6 it was worth the stay and the close proximity was perfect. Easy to find

The hotel smelled like a bar with tons of smoke. The ice marker on the bottom floor was broken had to go to the 3rd floor to get ice. The room was ok for 1 day but wish I had looked more for a better quality hotel.

Lots of HOT water. Wonderful hot tub and indoor pool. Clean room and no odors in our non-smoking room. They even have an alarm to stop anyone from smoking in the room! Quiet, only city noises were heard. Convenient to Harrisonburg and not too far from Shenandoah National Park.

Can't beat this hotel for convenience to JMU. We walked to the football game. However, both nights we had difficulties parking because the lot was full. My daughter and I were told to park at the nearby bookstore after 11 pm at night. Night manager said he couldn't guarantee we wouldn't be towed! (That happens a lot in Harrisonburg!) He didn't seem […] the least bit concerned that the 2 of us would be walking a ways by ourselves in the dark. The next night, a different manager gave us a pass for that bookstore lot. The moment my husband and son arrived at the room, they were overwhelmed by an awful odor. The halls smelled too. Once they were staying there the room was never cleaned for the second night's stay. they returned late after dinner and a day @JMU and couldn't request cleaning @ 10 pm..so they went to desk for new towels and called it a night. People […] @ desk didn't care. Also, workers in the area live there and fill the parking lot and guests returning late in the day have to park out on the street! This was convenient for what we were doing. Way over priced. Hotel in need of major updating. Mattresses needed to be tossed. Room smelled like musty smoke. Room however was very clean. Next time I will make sure I book my hotel way in advance so I don't end up in the same situation.

Closest hotel we could get to JMU....staff was VERY friendly! Hotel definitely needs updating, but good value. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and good. If I need to return, I would definitely stay here again.

My son and I were visiting JMU and stayed overnight afterwards. The hotel was practically on campus and we were able to walk back over to campus after we checked in to see the new Rec Center and the to go through the tunnel back to the main campus.
