The hotel was great. I was hard to get assistance in English on how to get to the downtown area. Did not have city maps available.

I've traveled around the world and stayed in great and not-so-great hotels. I can tell you that this is a good hotel for the money. Remember, this is not a Hilton or InterContinental, so you're not going to have fancy restaurants, bars/clubs, 5-star food, etc. It's a simple, clean, friendly, inexpensive hotel within a short distance to major tourist […] destinations. The train station is about a 15-20 min walk and there are plenty of taxis to pick you up outside. I was somewhat disappointed with the small portion sizes of the meals and they were a bit pricey, as were the drinks, but this is Moscow and everything is over-priced! The bartenders, waiters and waitresses were decent with their overall level of service. The free breakfast is somewhere between a continental breakfast and a real buffet breakfast. Very watery scrambled eggs, extremely fatty bacon, boiled hot dogs (they called them "sausages"), cheeses, various breads, Corn Flakes, yogurts, various juices, hashbrowns (from frozen) and that's about it. Don't forget, it's free! There's nothing much to see in walking distance, but there is a very nice park and the Petrovsky Travel Palace {see photo} nearby. There's NOTHING for kids to do anywhere within walking distance, so this is not a kid-friendly hotel. I think it's perfect for a business traveler on a tight budget. Read more

This is a pretty good hotel for if you book it online and get a good rate before you go. It's an older hotel but not run down. AC unts in rooms are very old, not very cold and noisy. This hotel, despite the photos on the website, is a soviet era building. Inside and outside. The staff were helpful but could do nothing about the fact that the free wireless internet was not working for the entire time of my stay. I had to use the Business Ctr computers which were slow. A bit of old Moscow yet many modern conveniences. It's not plush, but if you’re looking for a clean, no-nonsense Moscow hotel that won't break the bank, this is a good choice. The location is OK if you’re able to navigate the Moscow subway system. It's a great sub-way system but if you can't speak or read Russian, it can be intimidating to use. although the room was smaller than expected, it was an executive room, it was clean, comfortable and had a nice balcony view. the hotel bar was expansive and a place to get wifi. the spa has no jacuzzi or steam just a red hot sauna. a very reasonable Paul Mitchell Salon was on premise. all in all we were satisfied with the hotel.

When I booked the hotel, I was looking for the lowest prise, so I didn't expect much. But I was plesantly surptised that the hotel was more than OK. The lobby and the rooms are clean. The only thing that bothered me is the air conditioning which was kinda loud, and I had to turn it off in order to fall asleep. The location is good - close to the center of Moscow, but you have about 10 minutes walk to the metro. Also if you're bored or hungry in the middle of the night, there's nothing intertaining arrounf the hotel, and the restaurants close at 11PM, so you need to take a ride somewhere. That's it I guess. I chose the Aerostar because I was attending Moscow Toy Show and was told it had a shuttle bus to the Fair. It was not running 'to this fair'. So I ended up in an 'Aerostar Taxi' these are operated by surly gentlemen who charged me 1,700 to the Crocus center fair, when a street taxi was 700 returning. You are not able to call a street taxi from reception […] - they are not allowed to. Mmmm I also had the misfortune to have to eat in the hotel restaurant 2 nights running. There being no good local restaurants I could find and of course the hotel taxis are too costly to go to town for dinner. Read more

I had low expectations for the hotel due to mediocre review points. But hotel was not bad, not bad at all. It was clean even air was bit heavy. Rooms were dark and dull but on business trip I was only short times in room so it was okay. Mattress was good but pillows bit hard. V hotelu jsem poprvé asi před 10 lety a od té doby už několkrát. Ale musím říct, už má nejlepší za sebou. V mém případě byl v noci velký vítr, což přes ta stará okna bylo samo od sebe velmi hlučné. Navíc průvan pronikající přes netěsné okno celou noc hvízdal a v pokoji byla zima. To byl březen, venkovní teploty kolem nuly. Neumím si představit Navíc […] je hotel dost daleko od metra. Hotellilla hyvä sijainti. Yksi pysäkkiväli metrolla ja pääset Moskovan Seremetevo-lentokentän aeroexpressillä kentälle.
