Publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst commissioned the Warwick in 1926 for his sweetheart, Marion Davies, and their multitude of film and theatre friends. Today, the hotel’s vintage Hollywood style is still reflected throughout. Classic cocktails are shaken and stirred in Randolph’s timeless living room-style lounge with cozy sofas and armchairs. Original murals from 1937 are combined with contemporary touches in Murals on 54, which serves Chef Robert Hohmann’s traditional American breakfast and brunch, designer sandwiches, and hot lunch entrées. On the 3rd floor, the state-of-the-art fitness centre offers treadmills, stationary bikes, and free weights. Valet parking is available for a surcharge.
The Warwick’s 359 large guestrooms and 67 suites are elegantly decorated and feature marble bathrooms, cable TV with premium channels, and wireless Internet access (for a surcharge). 24-hour in-room dining is available.
